I personally knew you werent as you already knew about my cross and "wearing practices"I wasn't meaning to condemn wearing such things, however I do think it can be dangerous on how one portrays himself/herself to be. That's what I was getting at.
Makes me think of how people were touched by the power of God through Peter and Paul without them even laying on hands or anything. That's a subject that deserves some serious attention. Proverbs (25:2)I want to show that I'm a Christian though, visibly and physically so when someone passes by they're like "Oh, a Christian". That way when I do good works they'll know where it comes from.
I can't wear the chain on it's own, feels really wrong, and I think it'd feel wrong for me to wear a gold cross. My Dad always wore a gold cross and it matched him, but for me I don't know - too much wrong meanings seem to be attached to it if I wear it.
But I'm kind of stuck, because I don't like the look of other chains/crosses that aren't gold or the idea of wearing something that is "cheap" material when it comes to a cross. I also don't like the look/feeling of wearing jewellery that's made of wood or sterling silver or things like that - just me personally.
I want to show that I'm a Christian though, visibly and physically so when someone passes by they're like "Oh, a Christian". That way when I do good works they'll know where it comes from.
Thus, I'm stuck and undecided.
Nice. I need to read more of the old testament, I haven't read it all the way through yet. How many times have you read both of them?when I first read the Old Testament, I found God's power to be very interesting. When I then read the New Testament, I was astonished of the things that Jesus can do, and how people hated him.
then when I re-read the Old Testament, I noticed that most of the things that Jesus did were not too fairly unique; as prophets, in the Old Testament, were also bringing back the dead and healing sicknesses under the command of God. Also; these prophets were hated almost as much as Jesus, and many of them were killed in the Old Testament.
After reading both Testaments a few more times, I began to equally like both Testaments. Both show me how God looks after His children in distress.
That is wonderful, sometimes, I tend to feel down about the world. But people are still being saved, and it is a wonderful world after all.my neighbour wrote to me and said he's been saved! Another guy witnessed to him and he said the sinners prayer but he said he didn't feel any different but he was blessed.
Hallelujah! I was praying for him for years. Can you all pray that he grow in faith. Thanks.
