I tend to like to make complilation CDs from various gospel songs and hymns but if I had to pick one modern Christian band it would be Casting Crowns. I especially love the songs Who Am I?, If We Are the Body, and Praise You in This Storm. <3 <3 <3 )

Three hearts in a row, for me, always stand for The Trinity.

Well, that's not an easy choice, there's so many. :) But yeah, if I had to pick one then it would probably be:

Attack Attack!
Favorite Track: Dr. Shavargo Pt-3 - from the album "Someday Came Suddenly"
or
The Motivation - from their last album "This Means War"

My 2nd favorite band is The Devil Wears Prada.
Favorite Track: Danger: Wildman - from the album "With Roots Above and Branches Below".

It really blows that Attack Attack! split up. They were awesome!

I have a few "favorites" for different reasons.

I usually say that Resurrection Band is my "all-time" favorite because back in 1978 they were the only band that played what was then considered "hard rock" with a Christian worldview. They've remained my "all-time" favorite because of the tremendous impact they've had on me personally and upon the entire genre of Christian rock these past 35 years.

But music has changed. I love listening to new music.

The artists I tend to listen to most now are:
Neal Morse
Tourniquet
Becoming the Archetype
Hope For the Dying
The 77's
Paul Clark
Barnabas

But I have a library of approximately 10,000 songs.

The ten most frequently played songs on my Windows Media Player (I don't like iTunes) are:

1) The Maiden Who Slept in the Glass Coffin; Tourniquet (Antiseptic Bloodbath)
2)The Creation; Neal Morse (One)
3) God Sends Quail; The 77's (Sticks and Stones)
4) Give Him Praise; Lincoln Brewster (Today is the Day)
5) Come Into His Presence; Paul Clark and Friends (Come Into His Presence)
6) When The Rains Come; Proto-Kaw (The Wait of Glory)
7) Yahweh; The 2nd Chapter of Acts (In The Volume of The Book)
8) Redeemer; 7 Days (The Weight Of The World)
9) Breathless Wonderment Suite; Barnabas (Feel The Fire)
10) World Without End; Neal Morse (Momentum)

A friend of mine left a tape at my house on day and looking for some different music thought id have a listen. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it had a great impact. That started a journey for me over many years discovering the story of the Kelly family and in particular Paddy Kelly. Here i was thinking i had heard most of the bands and music of my generation and there was this group who virtually went under the radar in most countries expect Germany and some other European countries. They ended up outselling the Beatles in Europe and at the height of their popularity were filling stadiums and selling millions of albums.

The Kelly family consisted of 5 brothers and four sisters who all sang and played many different instruments. But it was when they all sang together that really made them great. their father started the group and they lived a travelling lifestyle visiting mant countries in a double decker bus. There were other members of the family that also performed but the core group was known as the Kelly family and consisted of the 9 siblings.

Their music was a mixture of folk, rock and traditional but they could make any song sound good. They music often had a spiritual and religious aspect. Paddy Kelly became disillusioned and joined the priesthood where he continued to write songs and perform. He has sinse left and continues to perform throughout Europe. The band stopped performing together around 2002. They reunited in 2007 for some concerts but nowadays they mainly perform solo or as smaller groups coming together.

thanks, but im not sure what reps are.

If you go to your Home Page or Visitor's Page, or whatever you call it, upper left, first link says User CP then Blogs Prayers Jobs... (left to right)

Click on User CP

and scroll, look to the right and you will see your Reps, how many, and the comment:

As you stay here, if you do--and welcome!--you get Reps for Reputation, which means forum members leave a comment--usually something positive or just saying hi or something, and depending on the Reputation of the one who leaves you Reps, you get a few or a whole lot.

I am a Senior Veteran, so as I understand it, that is why your Reps score went way up when I thanked you.

Originally, Reps (Reputation Remarks) were for leaving positive or negative 'feedback' kinds of comments--a long, long time ago, I guess, but now it's mainly for sorta neutral or 'good going', thanks, that sort of thing.

I had no idea what they were when I started... and I never knew to 'look' by clicking User CP and scrolling, looking at the right side of the page to see what people said:

It takes a while to find out stuff, but if you ever have a question I can answer, visit and ask me; and also, somewhere you can ask a Moderator: Visit and look at my Friends--I have some moderator and super moderators, I can look around and see where to tell you to go ask a question:

This site is HUGE and complicated, and awesome, and well, complex :)

Anyway, really cool music by that group, I never would have found 'em on my own, so that was a lovely gift from you.
