"The Donald's" Made in America theme is a exercise in "fake news" - given that the labels on Trump merchandise tell a different story!

how do you know donald trump is the maker of donald trump merchandise? I await your response.

So, Russia, allegedly, gives money to a number of groups fighting climate change. If true - good for them.

Soros gives money to these same groups.

Groups on the list include the World Wildlife Fund, the National Resources Defense Council, and the Pew Charitable Trusts - fairly reputable organizations.

How is this in any way comparable to Russia interfering with our electoral process?

If trump did that, they would have two more special counsels on russia.

Exactly, see I want to know how trump selling a house 9 years ago (in the bush administration) to Russians affects the electoral process, yet special counsel is investigating all these rabbit trails off of Russia collusion. you made my point. if so rose can give to Russian climate controllers, then trump can sell a stinking house to russians.

So when Russia colludes with causes and people and groups you agree with then that is the good collaboration.
When Russia allegedly colludes with causes and people and groups that you do not agree with then that is bad collaboration.

The special counsel is investigating all potential ties between Russia, the Trump campaign, and the election - that is his mandate. If his mandate were to investigate ties between Russia and environmental groups, then he would be investigating this story.

No, the difference is interference with the electoral process and potential ties to government officials. I see no problem with anyone contributing to non-profit organizations, no matter if I agree with them or not.

Define electoral process.
If it is more than the polling booth, then special interests are a factor.

Nope, OK with both investigations. as long as it's understood it has nothing to do with electoral processes.

Affecting the election.
Everything that influences the way that a voter would chose affects the election.
Soros would not spend a dime on a cause if he did not believed it would change hearts and minds and the way that people vote at the ballot box.

I didn't use the phrase "electoral process." If you want more information about the special counsel's mandate, read Rod Rosenstein's letter. The investigation includes all things related to Russian involvement in the Trump campaign and the election, and has nothing to do with Russians contributing to the WWF or NRDC.

Soros is a US citizen, he can donate as much as he wants to affect the elections, just like the Koch brothers can.

These mandates have a way of looking under a presidents desk to see what is going down there. They meander and switch direction according to whichever way the wind is blowing.

The second part of the mandate is to investigate "any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation."

So, bummer for Trump.

When it comes to something as literal as dirty laundry, the American people lose interest for the most part.
And when it becomes clear that it is about dirty laundry and nothing to do with the original mandate, even lying under oath is not enough to bring a president down.
It is not that the dress did not have white spots on it. In that case the fake news dug up by the mandate meandering far from its original mandate of White Water was the focus on the white spots, as if anybody even ought to take that kind of thing as a serious matter.

Well, let's just hope that Bob Mueller is better at this than Ken Starr was.

If low ball entertainment is what you desire in politics, I am sure that there will be enough similar fake news generated this time to keep you amused for years to come.
