news had about ninety to ninety five percent negative comments on trump, yet over forty percent of america voted for Him. Conservative media was much less. Fox was moderate at about fifty fifty negative to positive comments. But if Trump does anything, positive, and we know that He created the opportunity for over 500 thousand jobs since being president, that His postive works would be in the media, and they are startlingly silent about it. This proves it's fake news, almost globally. I used to work at a newspaper, and I have heard them first hand say that negative news sells, and this is why CNN was having the highest ever ratings when they came out with a lie about russia, eventually retracted and fired the reporters. But the ceo of the news agency is on film telling the others that "we are done with other stories get back to russia," even when they had not had any smoking gun for months and months. It was about money. CNN made over 100 million off of trumps alleged collusion with russia story. And this is why I don't read news. I read drudge report, and twitter feeds from conservative sources. Thats it. But we should sue CNN for lying to the open public, for only reporting negative news, while not reporting the positives of the trump presidency. Simply because of shock and awe of negative news, and pay per click advertising.

The OP lays out the case quite clearly that fake news is more than just falsifying the facts. It is overtly reporting the news with bias, and letting the desired political narrative lead the facts, that makes the news fake.

I'd be interested in a link about the 500,000 job opportunities President Trump has created.
tulc(is just wondering) :)

well the oil pipe line that he finished has a future potential of at least 100,000 jobs itself. Not to mention all the other steel jobs saved due to his executive orders. And manufacturing jobs that are not being outsourced due to his promise for lower corporate tax. Thats just for starters. But the main topic for this thread is fake news, and anything else if off topic for this thread. All off topic posts will be reported, and if the thread is closed due to off topic posts, another thread will be opened with same op and again off topic posts will be reported again.

What Is Fake News?

Andrew Klavan makes the argument very precisely.

Fake News has existed probably from the first time people started talking. It sells and weak minded gullible people embrace it. The National Enquirer has made its ownership rich on Fake News. Conservatives jumped on that band wagon years ago and created Fake News sites to combat liberal leaning Newspapers and TV news but conservatives took it to new lows with pundits like Rush Limbaugh, Alex Jones, etc...

Psychiatrists have shown that people who have strong negative reactions to the environment are more likely to be politically conservative and right wing pundits capitalized on that by creating conspiracy theories and fake stories in order to push the American public into fearful states which they could then be more easily controlled and then moved to the right.

Sadly, we are probably seeing the down fall of the US as greatness will no longer be in our reach. BTW, Hitler and the Nazi party also used these tactics in order to convince the German public that the Jews and liberal politicians were evil.

The National Enquirer is an apt comparison to what is being broadcast from the rest of the left wing MSM.
Viewership to the MSM vs FOX is about 10 to 1.
Of course, that doesn't stop people from attributing this all to the "danger on the right, danger on the right" refrain.

That is what they have been taught after all, by a factor of 10 to 1.

I would like the source for your quote about psychiatry and negative reactions, because I don't think it exists as a independant study, but more often you are a byproduct of fake news, by trusting left leaning sources.

Fake News has existed ...
I do think it's interesting that when obama was spying on americans during his term that the liberal news questioned wither the sources obtained information legally, but when they leaked classified info regarding trump and russia, that this method was somehow legal.

uhmmm...the 500,000 new jobs were part of the OP, (found here)
OP said:
(snip)and we know that He created the opportunity for over 500 thousand jobs since being president,(snip)
that makes it part of the thread. So, once again: do you have any links to show when/how those 500,000 jobs are being created at this time?

.
The National Enquirer is run by Donald Trump's long time buddy, David Pecker, and ran hit job stories against Ben Carson and Ted Cruz.
Not sure where you got your info about Fox and MSNBC but it incorrect. Fox is #1 but that is mainly because Conservatives mainly watch Fox News while Moderates and Liberals spread their viewership among several stations. The Fox lead over MSNBC is a little over 2-1 not 10-1 according to the Nielsen ratings.

Not really. There is a difference between spying on Americans and spying on foreign diplomats and such. The info about a possible connection between Russia and Trump came from spying on foreigners who were then found to be in contact with people close to Trump's campaign.

My information comes from a source I already posted in this thread. If you are not inclined to read what has already been posted in the thread, source 'Prager University Andrew Klavan' in a search engine, and you will see exactly what my source is.

The same figures hold true for political influence too, by the way. Of all the hysteria over Koch brother influence, source the New Leviathan by David Horowitz to recognize where the overwhelming share of spending on political influence is coming from.

Or not. It is hard to deal with such sources, and still join in the refrain of 'danger on the right, danger on the right".
