When you determine if a scientist is credible or not, do you do it the same way you determined whether Hovind was credible?
It only makes sense to you because you're a YEC, and your need for it to be true, trumps the reality of it not being true.I've heard Hovind speak many times. He has said what is in sync with what i find that makes most sense re: creation, etc.
These scientists, to be honest, were a bit confusing in the link. It reminded me of someone playing a shell game. Their credibility had not been established from that little bit of information via the link provided.

Into bible trivia, are you?
Did Solomon have 4,000 thousand, or 40,000 horses? That was not my intention, but ok, yes, BIble Trivia.
Where in the Bible does God sing?

I agree it was an "evil" law.
I am researching taxes and the requirement thereof of paying them. The controversy perhaps lies in the "interpretation" of any such law, and whether it has a fer-real "leg" to stand on.
If it is oppressive and unjust and bludgeoning the masses, yes, perhaps it is an evil law and should be challenged.

And it firmly established Caesar is owed taxes. I don't see any reference by Jesus that says; take away what you owe Caesar and give it to God.

i never claimed to be a scientist, however my reasoning and logic skills are quite adept

One person claims that two samples from the same mammoth have very different carbon dates. That person claims that this indicates carbon dating doesn't work.
When that person's references are checked, it turns out that those samples came from two different mammoths, not the same mammoth.
Using your logic and reasoning skills, please tell us if that person is telling the truth.
That's not enough information. It only raises more questions......
Such as?
If it has been confirmed these results came from two different sources vs one, as Hovind claimed, it could be he was simply confused or mistaken. But, if that was the case and he realized it indeed came from two sources, the honest thing to do would have been to admit you were wrong that it only came from one source.
Did he do the honest thing?
Does anyone else notice certain common traits of folks who constantly use the term; LOL on these boards?
