  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Silk doesn't burn simply because you've seen other things burn. That is NOT the theory of why silk burns.
Hey, give our guy here a break on that. Making hypotheses and confirming them is a scientific approach even if it has all been done before and in greater depth.

Then you are saying because of virus evolution that the full scheme of what we know as evolution is a fact, or did you just make a claim that means nothing at all when it comes to you evolving from a monkey/ape whatever you claim? I think the latter. Sounds to me like you are actually pretending virus evolution is all that is involved in this thread, otherwise it was silly to even bring it up.

Eh? No, that’s not what I said at all.

Does “so”s law still apply when the post begins with “then”?

Yes, the premise of the straw man as response is the same.

Subject change I guess, but I’ve been pretty impressed lately by the DNA ancestry stuff. I can see where that’s a valuable tool in studying evolution (micro only from my viewpoint), especially adaptation and migration tracking. Seems like a lot of ‘pros’ to it; any ‘cons’ or ‘false assumptions’ in that regard... anybody?

I think DNA widens the gap between links even wider.

It makes missing links stand out more.

Although I guess the OP was leaning in this direction, I hadn't really thought of it like that. Good point.

Some scientists say (don’t ask me to quote anything, it’s there, look for yourself :)) that our family tree is more like a huge bush, with so many branches that lead to dead ends (not enough transition fossils found to seal the deal -- a brick wall) that it may be impossible to ever fill the gap and find a verifiable route from ape to the modern man.

I have often times found myself thinking “man, there appears to be a lot of evidence there, presented by knowledgeable people”... but it never pans out.

How long will it take for academia's and evolutionists to admit that Creation is the likely option if no such route is found, 100 years, 200 years, 500 years, never?

Why deny science? Why not instead appreciate how amazingly complex god created science?

I've never denied science... only some of the assumptions and interpretations they make.

Can you explain that in detail? Thanks.
Gaps in the fossil record are one thing ... but gaps on the molecular level are another.

It's like seeing an atom to scale, with its electrons 20 miles away.

What gaps on the molecular level?

(Btw, a quick Google search and I've already found a creationist article contradicting this.)

If protons were the size of peas, how far away would their electrons be?

Answering a question with a question is not an answer.

Please answer the question as asked: How does DNA "widens the gap between links even wider"? Explain this with respect to DNA.

Ah, yes. I have them on ignore though so I tend to forget about them.

Such reasoning assures that one will continue to post false theories. Sticking your head in the sand and ignoring others is the mark of a despot like Trump. It falsely assumes that one knows EVERYthing. :preach:

Humans (descendants of Adam) inherited the DNA of prehistoric people (sons of God) because Noah's grandsons had NO other Human (descendant of Adam) to marry. Like Cain, on Adam's Earth, they married and produced children with the prehistoric people who were created from Water, on the 5th Day. Genesis 1:21

I don't blame you, I wish I had done that more. They just go right back to their same old game... bombarding you with more questions about the obvious that keep you in a defense mode and explaining all the time, while they explain nothing.

No, we're just bombarding you with questions about an obscure statement. It may seem obvious to you, but it sounds really strange to those of us who regard molecular genetics as even stronger confirming evidence for evolution than the fossil record.
