On one hand, you could just be some fresh young creationist who thinks he's got a solid argument but has no clue how misled he's been.

Anyway, whatever the case, here's an actual chart on population growth done by actual scientists who've studied the actual data.

I think you have to use 0.5% growth for the 4000 years to work. That's what Henry Morris did when he put out this argument.

Maybe you could let your inner two-year old try this application for size?

Assuming the 0.5% constant growth is correct, how many people were on the earth at the time Jesus lived? Around 200,000. And we know for a fact that the population of the city of Rome at that time was more than a million.
After just 1000 years? Less than 1000.
The pyramids of Egypt are supposed to have been build just 100 years or so after the flood. How many people were around to haul all those stones? Less than 15.

Today's "intellects" are quite a joke! If someone like me can see through the idiotic statements and false theories, based solely on common sense, then how can intelligent people not see through the same thing?
I can answer that very simply, but it takes belief in God to understand this: God opens our eyes as we seek Him. IF God revealed everything to humanity all at once humanity would cease to exist! God, in His infinite wisdom and love spares us from that ever happening by REVEALING Himself slowly to us erring humans so as we begin to see more and more of Him, and His infinite wisdom He will give us answers to give to inquisitive minds like yours. Only by studying God's word can one expect to receive God's infinite wisdom little by little. Those who fight against studying God's word have no idea what I am talking about, but those, like Jane who just joined know very well what revelation from God means.
