  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Evolution is proven false!

Another aspect of the "old earth" belief is the population problem, and believe me population is a severe problem for evolutionists. A study was done where scientists computed population growth. They used the formula of 2% growth rate and every 85 years the population would be cut in half worldwide to make up for wars famines and plagues. This formula of 2% is extremely conservative, in fact is there were any less growth it would not be growth because it takes 2% for any growth at all, any less would mean negative growth. Anyway, these scientists used this formula and computed back 5000 years and the numbers are simply amazing. In 5000 years with 2% growth rate and the population cut in half every 85 year, the population of this planet would be around 5.5-6 billion people, which is consistent with today. NOW lets take these numbers back 41,000 years. Take a guess at what the population would be after 41,000 years? Our screwball science says that man has been on this planet for, some say as long as 2 million years. . .EHEM! In 41,000 years, which is a drop in the bucket compared to 2 million years, the population would be 2 times 10 to the 89th power, or this number here, 2,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000! Even though this planet is capable of sustaining a population upwards of 30 billion, IF WE ALL LIVED FOR EACH OTHER INSTEAD OF OUR GREEDY POCKET BOOK, after 41,000 years man would be stacked up to the moon on top of bodies and bones. Just imagine after 2,000,000 years man would be stacked up on top of each other to the end of the milky way galaxy! So to think the earth is much older than 6000 years is quite outlandish.

Every aspect of evolution is a farce. The "fossil record" has been created for those who have no clue about geology, because there are places where the "fossil record" are turn completely upside down and there are so called "ancient" fossils in modern strata, and every way one could imagine this planet after a global flood which took a very short time, which is evinced by the standing trees in the rock strata, which some real bozos claim that those trees had to have been standing there for millions of years as the sediment or dust piled up until the trees were completely buried. These trees took approximately a few minutes to be engulfed by tribudites and flows of mud from swift moving, and raging turbulence.

When do you expect to be awarded the Nobel Prize for exposing evolution?

Name one scientist who ever said that.

Spoiler alert: You can't.

I'd like to see that study. Funny that you didn't post a link. Can you do so now?

I've been stuffing my chicken this morning, but blow down if I cannot figure out what you're talking about - - perhaps if you sniff a little nutmeg the lights will go on and you'll be able to use a little syntax with your coffee. ^_^

Of course, this is assuming that a person back then is related to only ONE person alive today. Once you realise that my great great great great great great great grandmother can be someone else's as well, the whole problem goes away.

The issue is not evidence of God. The issue is the evidence of the false religion of evolution.
Falsehood #1. Evolution is a scientific theory that explains the diversity and distribution of life on earth. Props for using the word "religion" as insult, however.

ALL the "transitional" species that so called science uses are hoaxes.
Falsehood #2. I would love to see you try and back this accusation up. Lets see how you do.

From the tooth of a pig, AKA nebraska man, modern bone fragments called piltdown man, to neanderthal man being created from broken pieces and plastic and resin was used by modern man to create this bent over ape man with absolutely NO proof that there ever was a transitional species, and Darwin himself said that if transitional species cannot be found then his theory is not valid.
Nebraska Man was a misidentified tooth that was quickly corrected. Nothing ever came of it. No one would even know about it today if creationists didn't cling to it like a piece of wood floating in the ocean.

Piltdown Man is the only example of a fraud on your list and you had to go back to 1912 to find it.

Neanderthal Man is very real and represented by many fossils, none of which are fake.

You fail.

Every aspect of evolution is a farce.
Falsehood #3. Even most diehard creationists recognize that species do evolve.

The "fossil record" has been created for those who have no clue about geology, because there are places where the "fossil record" are turn completely upside down and there are so called "ancient" fossils in modern strata,
Falehood #4. It is ludicrous to claim that geologists do not have a clue about geology. It is much more likely that you are the one who is clueless. As far as strata turned upside down, this is well understood and easily identified. Folding and overturning are caused by mountain building and tectonic activity. They are not mysteries.

and every way one could imagine this planet after a global flood which took a very short time, which is evinced by the standing trees in the rock strata, which some real bozos claim that those trees had to have been standing there for millions of years as the sediment or dust piled up until the trees were completely buried. These trees took approximately a few minutes to be engulfed by tribudites and flows of mud from swift moving, and raging turbulence.
Falsehood #5. The only bozos who ever claim anyone else says this are creationists.

Falsehood #6. They was no "scientific study" done to determine this. Why don't you use these same useless calculations to tell us how many cockroaches there should be on the earth after a few thousand years? Wars and diseases kill people, and human growth has not always been exponential.

That's Six falsehoods in one post. Well done!

Can you tell me, one thing, that your post added to this thread? Other than a condescending insulting pointless blurb?

It think a better question may be...

If evolution was found to be debunked and positively false and all the humans on the earth accepted the YEC. Whether it is right or wrong, true or false, myth or divine fact and that the scriptures in Genesis are literal.

How would this harm the human race, society, the well being of the world?

Aside from the trauma caused by accepting something that's clearly wrong and having to deny it on a constant basis and ignoring all the evidence against it...nothing much.

But then, so what? If everyone believed that the world was hollow or that the moon was made of cheese, it wouldn't be a big deal, either.

It's not like the post he responded to was any more substantive.

The post they commented on was quite lengthy and the poster was trying to make a point.

Their response was nothing but sarcasm, condescension and an attempt to insult.

The responding poster has been following the OP around on this thread like a little puppy. Insulting and interjecting as they go.

It's quite juvenile.

As near as I can tell, it was sloppily copied from a blog or something. A bunch of rambling nonsense. It makes numerous mistakes and provided no citations to back up the claims it made. It was trash.

My query postulated that the existence of a creator and ID could be a myth OR true.

Someone on one of the recent threads called YEC's closed minded.... Ironic, isn't it? That you cannot open your mind enough to ponder my question as it was presented. You must only accept the query through your existing mindset.

Exactly...

Now, seeing that you see my point. IF the world following YEC (true or not) would cause no harm to society or the global human race, WHY are attests and theistic evolutionists so gung ho on chalanging the whole concept. convincing me I am wrong and insulting me for my personal view?

I am no threat to this world, in any way, due to my belief in YEC.

However, if you derail someone from becoming a believer, based on your tactics and methods, AND their is a creator and ID, AND there is then, a heaven and a hell......you have just harmed this person for eternity.

If you want to take a chance with your own soul, that is one thing. However, to gamble with another human soul.... that's unnerving.

IF I am wrong, I will never know, as I will not exist anymore. IF I am right, the souls I have brought to eternity will be a blessing.

IF you are wrong, the souls you have been a stumbling block will bring you great torment.

Let me put it this way. The people that I convert are no harm to society, probably a blessing to the community they live in. They will lose nothing whether I am right or wrong and neither will any people that they convert in a domino affect.

The people you convert will probably also be no harm to their community or to society UNLESS you are wrong. Then you have harmed them and anyone that, in succession they convert, for eternity.

I just see no motive in the atheists world to care or strive to perpetuate their mindset.

Just speaking for myself, I wouldn't care so much if creationists weren't so gung ho about pushing their beliefs in the public school system. There are people who believe the world is flat, but I don't care much about them, because there's about zero chance of their crud ever getting into a textbook. I think we should teach children things that are true, or at least things we have evidence for.

If creationists kept their wacky beliefs to themselves, I gaurantee, no one would care. But they don't.

However, if you derail someone from becoming a believer, based on your tactics and methods, AND their is a creator and ID, AND there is then, a heaven and a hell......you have just harmed this person for eternity.

If you're faith is so weak that not taking a few passages in the entire Bible as literal truth is enough to crush it, then maybe you should re-evaluate your own beliefs.

IF you are wrong, the souls you have been a stumbling block will bring you great torment

If your god is so petty that he faults you for using the five senses he gave you, then maybe he's not worth worshipping in the first place. What kind of god would give you a brain, then get mad when you use it? Or maybe, just maybe, your understanding of him is flawed.
