  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

You are kidding. I thought you know something about Christianity.

Christians are accumulating Heavenly credit on the earth (rich or poor according to earth's standard). The more (unburnable) credits one earned, the better off one will be in the eternity. One does not need any such credit to go to Heaven, but he will be a poor soul in the Heaven.

So there are rich and poor people in heaven (not money rich, but unburnable credit rich)? What exactly does having more credits get you? Wouldn't a disparity in the credits each soul has lead to some sort of class system o f haves and have-nots?

I think that is a right idea.

What does having more credits in heaven get you once you're there? Do you get a bigger mansion, or more alone time hanging with Jesus, or what?

I was being rather sarcastic. However, your response is a bit perplexing... what is a "poor soul" in heaven and what are the disadvantages??

Fewer virgins? No, wait, I think I've got the wrong heaven.

Haha! LOL! :) That does take me back to medieval times though, when one of the ways to get into heaven was to "buy" your spot. And of course, the more you gave to the church, the more you would get in return in heaven.

Ah yes... the sale of "indulgences." :)

Something better than good. You can imagine it as well as I can.

Not as happy as other more happy souls.

Social hierarchy in heaven, that one is news to me. And here I was, naively thinking that it would be all "good" if you accepted Christ and were a devout Christian, but of course, it will be even "better" if you do this and that. I will save it for later reference.

I think that is true.
Otherwise, why should I work harder (and wiser: not promoting evolution) once I am saved?

What is that something? And what do people with very few credits get?

The person who took the photo below had "bad credit" :D

This is getting ugly really quickly. When you really love someone, you shouldn't expect a reward for "good behavior".

May be, for example, I will have more "power".

I see, so you do good acts (to gain heavenly credit) out of greed and a lust for power. Good to know.

Exactly what would having more "power" in heaven entail, anyway? Power to do what? And do you mean power as in ability or persuasive influence?

I've been told around here many times that once you are saved doing good comes from the light of Jesus within you, not some desire for heavenly credit. That you work harder because the desire to do good wells up in you, not for personal gain.

You shouldn't. But you could. That could be one of the motivation.
It is not ugly at all. It is beautiful.

An example is the difference between an arch-angel and normal angels. The more power, the more responsibility. In a government, you NEED positions of different levels.
