This is a super max 'shoe' (SHU, special housing unit) that houses the type of people that would make GITMO proud. You read up on this place only rank Sergeant or hier even serve the food or interact with these people. Each room has dome cctv camera, (that is how this pic was taken) and lights that are both on 24/7.

So dude is in a super max facility... in a cell with 24/7 camera surveillance, on suicide watch, annnnnnd is just found dead.

I think that shows just how quick fake news can spread on the internet lol.

I think a lot of times people link this stuff on social media without even reading all the way through...had they made it past the first sentence, they'd have seen that it reads like an Onion article.

I honestly look. I read everything someone cites to me. Every Word. And if it is something I do not understand I research it, hit the dictionaries and encyclopedia.

From the, apparently, Spanish speaking house keeper named "Alice Frumpkin"...all the way to claiming that his personal contacts were stored in a Deadpool notebook lol.

The thing of importance to me is this smells off. There is no way of know at this point who or what. Or if it was flat out negligence. Or the guards. The problem I have is this is a 24/7 surveilled super-max facility, and they just so happened to "find" things.

It is literally a maximum security prison, inside of a maximum security prison. A set apart max sec facility in a facility. and they just so happened to "find".........

It's kind of a long explanation...but
The authors of the fake articles put that "ALLOD" in their satire pics as sort of an "Easter egg" for the times that these stories actually get picked up by non-satire right wing news websites and facebook accounts. Something they can use to identify their brand of satire for the true satire seeking fans of the site who are in on the joke, but isn't recognized by "taters".

"Taters" is the designation they've given to conservative fans of their articles who aren't "in on the joke".

So, it basically becomes a badge of honor to get your fake satire story linked on a real news site. There have been cases where right-wing news sources and right-wing facebook news pages have linked these stories not knowing they're fake, so when fans of the satire site see "ALLOD" in there, they realize what's happened, but the legitimate readers of the site don't know any better and assume it's real.

The most prevalent example of it happening was the fake story about how Barr had officially filed 16 indictments against Clinton and Obama...with this picture

It got linked and shared on facebook over 100k times, and linked on over 3 dozen conservative online news sites.

The super max is the SHU inside of the max security Metropolitan Correctional Center.

A prison inside a prison. In essence, you would have to breakout of the Metropolitan Correctional Center, after you broke out of the Special housing unit. Two differnt max sec facilities with the metropolitan Correctional Center acting almost like a safe or vault for the SHU.

It's the first thing that came to my mind too when I heard the news. How a person commits suicide while on suicide watch is a mystery. Haven't heard anyone question it in the news reports though.

A common way in prison is to use clothing to cut off circulation around the neck and using something sturdy as an anchor to let their body weight assist.

It's a lot easier than most people realise.

MCC isn't "max security" - it's classified as "administrative" security, which means that it's effectively multi-security. "SHU" doesn't necessarily even indicate maximum security. "SHU" refers to isolation from the general population.

This whole thing is weird. I don't know what to do with it at this point. Im willing to be wrong here, someone explain how he killed himself while on camera on suicide watch? And the guards didn't notice... twice? Someone might have broken into his cell and attacked him the first time?

I honestly wonder if the guards didn't kick him to sleep.
