That's unkown.

Personal opinion - when the Losties finally found out the island's secrets, and what the Others are up to, it didn't make them want to stay, but they did consider it important enough to lie to protect.

That's one of the mysteries.

Personal opinion: the Losties find out the mysteries of the island, and what the Others are up to. It doesn't make them want to stay, but they deem it important enough to lie to protect.

What he's/they're lying about isn't known. I'm guessing that they discovered the island's secrets and what the Others are up to, and still left, but it was important enough to lie to protect.

My theory is that he feels like he's lying about being a hero. I think everyone calling him hero last night had more to do with him being credited for "rescuing" everyone from the island than saving the woman and her son. But he doesn't feel like they should have left the island, so he feels like a sham with all the hero stuff.

Great question, I'd like to know that too. I assume Ethan and Richard were on assignment in Miami when they went and got Juliet.

I think Charlie believed he had to die in order to meet all the conditions of Desmond's flash and ensure that Claire and Aaron are saved. He didn't want to risk changing anything important and them not getting rescued as a result.

I'm of the opinion that it was an attempt at being ironic. The look on the chief's face told me that Christian is still dead.

Wow, I hadn't thought of it from exactly that angle, but you're right. The other thought was that Mikhail, Bonnie, and Greta were all a part of Dharma before the purge, and they were supposedly sent to Canada by Dharma (or actually were, and returned) - in other words, it wasn't Ben himself that sent them to Canada.

Hard to call. I'd say yes if it weren't for Sun already being pregnant as well.

If Naomi was telling the truth, and the outside world believed they had found Flight 815 and its cargo of corpses, how is their apparent return from the dead explained to the world?

Also, How has Kate received immunity from prosecution upon returning to the "real" world?

If Penny didn't send the boat, why was she calling the island when Charlie deactivated the jamming device?

How or why did Juliet know about the signal jamming but not Mikail?

From lostpedia: a theory

• Somehow Jack is the only survivor that truly remembers the events on the island in their entirety. Either he dodged the erasing procedure, or it failed to stick.
• Jack being alone in these memories contributes to his depression.
• Kate has been appeasing Jack for the most part, not really remembering the experience of the island, but only the plane crash itself. However, she does have some brief "flashes" of memory that correspond with Jack's recollection of events on the island. This, along with the bravery he showed immediately after the plane crash, encourages her to secretly meet with him occasionally.
• This explains why Kate shows little concern/interest in the person at the funeral. While it was somebody that was close to both of them on the island, Kate has no memory of the individual.

On the island, Jack's beard was graying, but back in civilization it is dark.

The idea that is pulled from Alice's Through the Looking Glass, that time is running both forward and backward at the same time. Thus what we are seeing is a set past but a future that is directly affected by the here and now.

Jin and Sun are also rescued, in the first 20 seconds of Through The Looking Glass they are seen on the plane, sittig in the row behind Jack. (did anyone else catch this?????????????????????????)
