2 Thessalonians 1:
4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith
in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted
worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer.
Acts 14:
21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples,
they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch,
22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith,
and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”
Matthew 7:
13 Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction,
and there are many who go in by it.
14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Matthew 11:
11 Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater
than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence,
and the violent take it by force.
