I, too, so appreciate this forum being opened again. Had it not been for information garnered from this forum, I believe I, along with many others would not have had the information necessary to make informed decisions. I had looked in many places, but without a given name was unable to find the truth. Thank you so much.

Wow, the silence has been nearly deafening here since this thread re-opened.

But then, I haven't had any inspiration of anything to say either. Until this morning.

I hope the silence is because people are feeling cautious and aware of the need to avoid lashon hara.

In any case, my thoughts are these:

May we find that our Abba is well able to redeem any situation or circumstance in which we are willing to yield our hearts to Him, through the shed blood and finished work of Yeshua Messiah on our behalf.

Here are a few questions for possible reflection and discussion here:

1. What do I find compelling about Tsiyon teachings?
2. What have I learned about myself in this process?
3. What have I done to ramp up my personal study skills in order to be a good Berean?
4. What criteria am I using when I look for solid teaching on YHWH's righteous instructions?

I had been trying for over a year to talk with various people in some kind of leadership role in the Messianic movement about how they have experienced and validated their call to service in ministry. More often than not, the request about information on their calling or ordination led to defensiveness. It is a touchy subject. I found that to be true also in trying to address it here in CF, though some good observations came out.

After much prayer, reflection and study, I think there is good reason for the frequent lack of security in how we are dealing with this now.

Since leaders themselves find this hard to define or be confident about, then how much more difficult is it for anyone to know who is truly anointed by our Elohim?

Our recent local community studies have led to some thematic observations about YHWH's ways in calling and anointing His people in this season. FYI, I made a rough draft attempt to summarize this in post 135 in the Calling Anointing and Ordination thread. (Currently the last page) If someone knows how to post a link to that it might be helpful. Feedback welcome.

May we each have open hearts and ears to hear what YHWH would have us learn.

The purpose for my post today as well as the purpose of this thread is to determine if Steve/E is to be believed as a leader of the Remnant and if he is a true Messianic Minister. This thread started because Messianic Believers seeking the truth wanted to know about the true identity of this man. With the discovery of Eliyahu’s true identity, there are now only more unresolved questions about his character and what is he really teaching. Most importantly is he teaching the truth of Yahweh’s Word? I believe that, at one time, he was. As a result of my time with the ministry and witnessing violations of Torah, I have come to believe otherwise.

We have all heard the term “whistle blower,” which refers to someone who has damaging “inside information” about a company or a person and wishes to reveal this information in order to prevent harm to innocent parties. I have the unfortunate task of being one of several “whistle blowers” with regards to Steve Butt/Eliyahu and Tsiyon Ministries. In hopes of protecting innocent Remnant believers from potential harm, I find myself compelled to reveal some unpleasant truth about a man who has proclaimed himself to be a prophet, the leader of the Remnant and the “White Horse Rider.” What is to be revealed in the posts that I will be submitting is the truth and the facts as I know it.

As I have stated in my previous posts, I was a part time ministry leader for Tsiyon Radio Ministry from November 2010 until June 2011, and a full time ministry leader from June 2011 to December, 2011. For a year, my family and I lived on the property owned by Tsiyon Ministry, or actually by BeFree Church (as evidenced by the loan documents that we have a copy of). My wife and I have “first hand” knowledge of and eye witness experience of many of the events that took place on the property and with the ministry.

I am led to deal with three specific topics for now which deal with the concern of Steve/E teaching, agenda and character. They are as follows:
1. False accusations and lies in Tsiyon Program #318
2. A pattern of falsely accusing those who dissent
3. Violation of Shabbat at Tsiyon Ministry.

It is very sad for me to see this man allow false teaching and pride into his life. Despite what I will be sharing here, I still love Steve/E and I am praying earnestly for his restoration to YHWH. At the same time, it seems I must be a “whistle blower” and reveal the ongoing deception, because I fervently care for the Remnant as well as those seeking the truth. I want them to know the truth. Please consider the following passage from Proverbs 12 (Complete Jewish Bible) as you read my following posts:
12:17 He who tells the truth furthers justice, but a false witness furthers deceit.
12:18 Idle talk can pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise can heal.
12:19 Truthful words will stand forever, lying speech but a moment.
12:20 Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, but for those advising peace there is joy.
12:21 No harm can come to the righteous, but the wicked are overwhelmed with disaster.
12:22 Lying lips are an abomination to Adonai, but those who deal faithfully are his delight.

The first item that must be addressed is Tsiyon Program #318 entitled “Witch War Woes.” In this program, Steve/E openly accuses a certain Messianic Believer (known on this thread as “SAM Wis”) of being a “witch” and a Satanist, although declining to identify her by name. Without coming right out and saying it in a plain and clear statement, he weaves a web of insinuation and inference that ultimately leads his listeners to believe that she marked his home for fire, and that she was responsible for cutting the brake lines of his vehicle, not to mention casting spells and dancing “strange dances.” No factual evidence is given for any of these accusations – only supposition and inference. As if it were not sad enough that these unfounded accusations were broadcast literally worldwide on public radio, shortwave radio and via the Internet, other statements in the program contain open and blatant lies.

I know these statements to be false because I was on the property the day this so called “witch” arrived, and my wife and I met her in person. We were all aware of her visit, as Steve/E had openly welcomed it and looked forward to interviewing her for the program. The purpose of the meeting was for the two parties to evaluate each other, with the goal of determining if the two ministries could work together in ministering to the Remnant.
In program #318, Steve/E bases his accusation of witchcraft on the supposition that this person came to “mark” the property (particularly his home) for the enemy to destroy. From my vantage point that day and after seeing what took place during and after the fire, I find no basis for this. I also find no basis for it when Steve/E actually lied about events that took place after and as a result of the fire. (I would like to think that his memory is faulty on these matters, but his memory has always been exceptionally good, so I cannot give that idea much credence.)

The “faulty statements” are as follows:
1. Steve/E stated that he found out 4 days after the fire that his home had not been burned yet, and the Tsiyon property was not shown on the burn map. My wife and I were in the evacuation center for two ½ days following our evacuation from the fire. We were updated continuously during the time at the center as to what areas were burned and what homes/structures were destroyed. On the second day there (not the 4th day), the Tsiyon property was included on the burn map (the map of properties burned and homes destroyed). In addition, we were told by 3 different firemen on that day that the property was destroyed and the homes lost. Two of the firemen told my wife that their own homes were in the same neighborhood and they knew exactly the area we were referring to. We also had visual verification that the area of Tsiyon property burned for 3 days solid. We could see the area burning from the evacuation center. Steve/E, Dawn and his family chose not to stay or register at the evacuation center. His family stayed the first night at a friend’s house and left the next day for College Station, Texas where he and his family stayed in a motel. During that time, we kept Steve/E informed as to the information we were receiving at the center.

2. Steve/E stated that the brake line on his vehicle was cut “immediately” on the day of the fire (Sunday, Sept 4th). This statement is problematic, because I know that he drove around our city that afternoon and evening and then left the next day to drive to College Station, (an 80 mile trip), where they stayed in a motel. The following morning (Tuesday, Sept 6th), Steve/E called me and I could tell he was quite disturbed. He told me he had taken his vehicle to a mechanic (that morning) because it was having some engine trouble. He then said, “And you are not going to believe what they found. My brake line has been cut!” I could tell he was shocked and disturbed. He told me that morning that he believed this was an act of the enemy and that someone in College Station must have recognized his vehicle and cut his line. There was NO mention of his belief that this was done on the property or prior to his arrival in College Station. In addition, there was NO mention of this being done by a “witch,” and if we are to believe his statement that she cut it, then he drove for two days and over 100 miles on a cut brake line. I guess he forgot about this phone call to me and a similar call to SAM Wis.

The other “evidence” given for Steve/E’s stated belief that this lady was a “witch” was her ministry’s website logo. Steve/E claims that the symbols used on this website are of a satanic nature. I am unable to post the link to Set Apart Ministries but you can easily find it with a Google Search. Feel free to go to this website and see if you can construe, from what you see there, the type of allegations and interpretations that he made on the program. Please review the material on this website for yourself and see if there is even one indication that this site has any resemblance to a ministry led by a satanist or a “witch.” The symbols used for the logo were simplistic symbols of the name “Set Apart Ministry” with absolutely no satanic connection. Please note that Steve/E does not give the exact website name or link in his program. He keeps you guessing as to what site and what person he is referring, and wants you to trust his word. He doesn’t give you all the information needed to make an informed decision. He gives you his interpretation of “facts” that he does not allow you to look at for yourself – his listeners are supposed to simply accept his word regarding it. This is in conflict with the scriptural instruction to be discerning and to search out truth. (Heb 5:14, Malachi 3:18 among others)

Anyone who is going to make a claim that a person or a ministry is satanic should carefully examine all aspects of what has been done by the person or the ministry in question. They should also be able to state without reservation that they have personally observed behavior or material that conflicts with scripture and conforms to satanic norms. Steve does not do this. He says that the visitor “went outside” where she “might have” or “could have” done things (which are only inferred and not spelled out). Every accusation is based on a “might have” or “could have” or “maybe.” There is no substantiation whatsoever. Yet he does not hesitate to publicly air these baseless accusations! This alone should alert us that the purpose of the program was not to disclose evil, but rather to encourage his listeners to further form the “us (good guys) against them (bad guys)” frame of reference that the last few programs have been fostering. This is cultic thinking, not genuine teaching.

Steve/E has tried to build an evil structure from innocent materials. At the very least he has given a very wrong interpretation and accusation, falsely accusing one of YHWH’s servants. Since the enemy is called “the Accuser” for good reason, it is pretty simple to understand the true source of the accusations. It is also interesting to note that this program occurred 5 months after the fire. In addition, the program was created only after the lady in question posted (on this forum) further information about Steve’s identity. Could it be that this program was a program of retaliation? I believe it was, but you can make up your own mind.

A new pattern has begun both in the current programs and in the comments being posted regarding the programs:
Anyone who does not agree with Steve’s teaching or his proclaimed position as White Horse Rider and undisputed authority is now boldly, unequivocally and falsely accused of being a Satanist. These accusations do not appear to be made in the pursuit of truth, but rather in a spirit of self-defense and anger, with the goal of creating an “us (good guys) against them (bad guys)” atmosphere – a typically cultic maneuver.

For example, Steve has now accused me of being a Satanist. In our correspondence, I have begun addressing him as “Steve” rather than as “Eliyahu,” and he takes great exception to this. From his perspective, since I no longer acknowledge him as Eliyahu, and since I do not acknowledge his claim to be the White Horse Rider, I must therefore be a Satanist. It makes sense from his perspective, but the logic is just not there. I am simply a brother who is trying to come to terms with Steve’s deception and false teaching. That does not make me a Satanist.

In his rush to condemn, he gets his facts confused, as well. In an email to me, he stated that I had deserted the ministry and left Texas when I found out that he was Steve Butt. This is simply not true. I did not find out about his identity until December 11th, 2011. My wife and I had already departed Texas a month earlier (when we were instructed to do so by YHWH). Our departure from Texas had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the discovery of Steve’s identity or his teaching on polygamy. I still considered myself a ministry leader with Tsiyon between November 1st and December 11th, as did Steve/E. Our resignation from Tsiyon did not occur until mid-December, when we could no longer trust Steve/E, and because he refused to deny or confirm the information that had been submitted to us. Steve/E left my wife and I with no choice but to resign, as we had no way of knowing what we would actually be representing should we have remained with Tsiyon.

The revelation of Eliyahu’s identity as Steve Butt affected my wife and I personally when we discovered that he had purposely kept his identity a secret from Ministry Partners and was living a lie. Now, according to Steve/E, my acceptance of the truth of the information and my use of his legal name, Steve Butt, makes me into a Satanist. How absurd is this? I replied to Steve that my Yeshua was also accused of this by the religious leaders of His day, so I guess I am in “good company.”

In some of his recent programs, Steve/E has also referred to other partners who have left his ministry and either calls them Satanists, or infers that they are Satanists, or infers that they are on the road to becoming Satanists. On his website under the program comments, Steve/E has allowed comments to be published by ministry leaders which are actually vicious in their attacks on departed partners or other dissenters. This is done with absolutely NO substantiation offered to support these attacks other than the fact that they no longer support Tsiyon or Steve/E’s messages.

One of the saddest and most disturbing issues we witnessed while on the property and part of Tsiyon Ministry was that Steve/E and Dawn consistently violated YHWH’s Shabbats. They refuse to reconsider their actions despite the fact that they know it is a matter of stumbling to those around them.

During our time with them, they allowed Shabbat to be violated by:
1. hiring construction workmen and allowing them to work (multiple times),
2. instructing their son to assist in the construction work,
3. purchasing building supplies (multiple times),
4. purchasing of postage (multiple times),
5. interviewing fire clean-up contractors regarding their personal home (with the intent of hiring them), and
6. performed personal errands regarding commercial transactions.

Any of the tasks involved could easily have been rescheduled for the day prior or the day following Shabbat. When I confronted E with these issues, he simply explained them away as being "okay, because it's for the ministry," or "because YHWH told me to do it [purchase supplies]." I do not find any scriptural support for this type of activity. Apparently, E feels that if "it's for the ministry," any activity is acceptable. Since he feels his life is "for the ministry," it appears that he interprets that to mean that anything he does on Shabbat is okay. This "principle," if incorporated into the community life he envisions for his followers, would result in confusion and disobedience of Torah among the people.

Other team members have already been subverted to become active participants in this behavior. One felt justified in purchasing a replacement tire for their car and having it installed on Shabbat, despite being offered the use of another car until Shabbat was over. Another obediently took ministry mail to the Post Office and purchased postage on several occasions.

The fact that Eliyahu insisted that YHWH specifically told him to go to a hardware store and purchase supplies on a Shabbat defies all logic:
 • When has YHWH ever been known to instruct us to break one of His commandments?
 • When Yeshua gives us a task to do, such as building the studio or the Temple, can we not trust Him to provide the appropriate amount of time in which to accomplish it without violating His Shabbat?

The only logical conclusion is that either Eliyahu lied to us in order to get us "off his case," or he heard a voice that does not belong to YHWH.

YHWH confirmed that these actions were a violation of Shabbat through the fire that occurred on September 4, 2011. The first night of the fire, my wife, my son, and I were each spoken to separately by YHWH and understood that the fire was a judgment of Steve/E’s Shabbat violation. We initially did not want to accept this, but there were multiple confirmations. The most striking confirmation was when we were allowed back on the property 9 days after the fire. That day we found that our mobile home was the ONLY building that survived the fire. EVERY OTHER building on the property was burned to ash (including the studio that was built with “fire proof” or “fire resistant” material). Two fire marshals and the insurance adjuster all verified that there is no natural explanation for our home surviving the fire. Our home was clearly covered and protected by YHWH to show His confirmation of His Judgment in this matter. The judgment was that our home was protected because we stood against the Shabbat violation. YHWH wanted to show Steve that He was fully capable of protecting our home and that he would have protected Steve’s home and the studio had He wanted to.

I believe very strongly that YHWH allowed the fire (not as an attack of the enemy as been taught by Steve/E) to bring Steve/E into account and bring him back into YHWH’s will. It was not meant as a condemnation of Steve/E.

It is also interesting to note that there is no mention of the survival of our mobile home in any of his programs or his newsletter. In his programs, when Steve/E states he moved back onto the property, he comments “we moved into temporary housing”. The fact is that they actually moved into our mobile home that survived the fire after we left Texas on November 1st.

This judgment of fire by YHWH is the basis for my belief that Tsiyon Programs #306 to #308 are filled with false teachings. The “seven words” completely contradict the actions that really took place on the property as a result of the fire. This includes the part where Mark came to the property to give prophetic words from God. This is from a man who knew nothing about Messianic Teaching or Torah keeping. In Program #308, Steve/E finally proclaims himself as the “White Horse Rider.” I was shocked and dismayed with this statement especially in light of the events that had taken place then and what has taken place since that time. Again, I will let you make your own interpretation as the Spirit leads.

In summary (of my posts), I have simply attempted to bring forth nothing but truth and facts about Steve/E. This has been done to allow other listeners to make inform decisions about his teachings. I am here to protect and ministry to His Remnant as YHWH has called me to do. I am available for further questions or clarifications of these facts.

Thank you Truthckr for stating your witness here of what you have observed while with Tsiyon. We here at SAM do hope and pray that it will be helpful to do so for those who are concerned about what is happening at Tsiyon ministries. Just FYI, our website is posted in the drop down box under SAM Wis for those who'd like to discern for themselves. We are also available for sincere questions and perhaps even a visit should that be helpful.

I do not any longer listen to or follow anything of Tsiyon’s since determining that we would not be working together. I have not listened to the Tsiyon program that centered on accusations, quite apparently of me and of Set Apart Ministries, though several people have told me of what was said. Our local community has certainly not appreciated what was inferred. (Despite several statements that he wanted to visit and learn about us, that has not ever happened.)

Several people have asked me for a response to these accusations.

Our ministry became aware of Tsiyon several years ago and had been in sporadic conversation with them about their request of us to work with them to assist and train their partners. Before we would associate with any ministry, we prayerfully consider whether or not that is YHWH's direction. As part of that, we also ask about their background and history, where they came from and so forth. My visit to Tsiyon was to further evaluate whether or not we would work with them since we were still uncertain and couldn’t determine why.

Steve/E’s request was that I meet them in a public place, then enter their vehicle for the drive to their property since he wouldn’t disclose address or directions by phone or email. This has apparently been his standard practice, his stated reason being fear for the safety of his children due to Muslim objection to his teachings. My community and I did NOT feel comfortable with this request. I was also meeting with another personally known ministry leader in Texas who agreed to provide transportation for me. Steve/E agreed that she could also come along so I rode in her vehicle, following Steve. She has not ever listened to or participated in Tsiyon ministry in any way and was also uncomfortable at the idea that I would go alone without my own transportation. She is well known throughout the US as a Hebraic dance worship participant and leader at many Messianic conferences. Though we spoke of Hebraic dance, neither of us did any dance that day, nor did I leave the home during the visit, except when I went with Steve out to the recording studio.

The last partner teleconference in which I participated includes conversation about the day of the fire, and my statement about our ongoing consideration whether or not to work with Tsiyon. (Thanks to dhkrause for providing the link and time of my portion of the conversa tion)

Tsiyon Partner Meeting, 11/28/2011Barb and E: 40:15 – 1:01:24

When information about his name, legal history and previous marital status and ministry came to our attention a few days later, through the Christian Forum in posts by Relevant Data, that Steve/E had not provided, we, my co leader and I, approached him in a scheduled telephone consultation and asked the difficult question as to his legal identity. As stated earlier in this thread, we did not refuse to work with him due to the criminal history and polygamous beliefs but wanted to know that he had resolved all the situations honorably before we would make a working commitment.

We urged him to make this information known, rather than have it be like a ticking time bomb; that supporters needed to know. I have written notes made immediately after the conversation. He refused to confirm or deny this information, saying that “Accountability is not a Biblical concept.” He also said “You should be ashamed of yourself for asking.”

I am one of several people that have asked similar questions, a part of a Matthew 18 process though we were unknown to one another at the time. I did not personally know these details until I was directed to this thread in CF. My posts on CF have confirmed that I personally checked the validity of the newspaper story listed, and personally visited him and could affirm he is the same person represented in the video. This information appeared to be relevant and important for those who may consider being a part of Tsiyon ministry to know as they determine their plans. I remain concerned that a teacher of the Word needs appropriate accountability which is difficult with international media ministry.

One part of our ministry’s primary focus is on various aspects of maturity and “Mama’s Torah” of following our Messiah which all are most welcome to evaluate as Trthchkr has noted. Steve had only visited our website briefly until we scheduled a telephone consultation with him and then, he watched the initial video Be Ye Set Apart which he declared to be so needed in the Body of Believers at large and at Tsiyon. Accountability is mentioned as necessary which he enthusiastically affirmed, until we asked questions about his history.

These questions have been viewed as personal attack by Steve/Eliyahu and he is angry, and apparently he thought this series of accusations toward me was the best way to deal with that. He apparently decided I was a good target among those who have initiated similar questions though in recent weeks I have learned that others who question are either ignored or also accused of satanic affiliation.

He may well be able to find others who will support him. I have come to the point of asking difficult and unwelcome questions of others many times over the years, and probably will again.

I commend him to YHWH and pray for His resolution in all matters. We, too, here at SAM, remain very concerned for all of Tsiyon’s people’s wellbeing.

I credit Tsiyon ministry for deepening my appreciation for the believing remnant of Israel and ultimately leading me to identify with this company by faith. After some months of being almost exclusively identified with the Remnant, I now see myself as a dual citizen, (1) of the believing remnant of Israel by faith, and (2) of the body of Messiah at large by faith and by the new birth. It is clear to me that I am to love and honor all who are following Yeshua, Jesus including those who as yet know little about Israel. Therefore I have resumed my ministry of more than three decades at care centers under the aegis of my local church. In this ministry I am able to help people come into relationship with Yeshua, Jesus and to discover the deep roots of their faith in YHWH’s Covenant with Israel. I shared about this transition in the Tsiyon Partner’s meeting on February 6. E expressed understanding and appreciation, and acknowledged in his closing prayer how God leads His people according to their own unique callings.

In the same meeting, I questioned E’s interpretation of the SAM logo, having been informed by this Messianic leader that the pictures were simply formed from the shapes of the letters in the name of the organization which itself was God-given. An honest discussion ensued concluding with E’s acknowledgment that different people may have valid reasons for differing views on this subject. He expressed appreciation that I consistently speak my mind, and I agreed that this is important to do – respectfully, as a good listener and without trying to push one’s views on others.

The head of Tsiyon “Promo and Media Dept” completely misconstrued what I had said, posting a comment to program #319 on February 11 in which he states, “…There is a passive attitude amongst people who go to church or those who THINK they can teach and it goes like this; Be careful not to push your views onto other people. … But yet I have noticed these hypocrites who say not to push your views on other people, have their own bible studies themselves. They push their views onto other people. Such people are trouble makers and do NOT submit to the Authority that Yahweh has called.”

I responded to this diatribe by submitting a comment on February 15, which was not approved by E and therefore not posted, in which I listed five reasons I believed the charges against the Messianic leader were false. I closed by stating: “Incidentally, respectfully speaking one's mind is not wimpish or hypocritical as some would imply. Being a bond slave to Yahweh does not require slavish obedience as a sycophant to any human leader.”

Unexpectedly, a person calling himself “Dan” (as in Genesis 49:17?) submitted the following comment on my WordPress blog on February 19: “There are many wolves in sheeps clothing. They love to be heard. They love to cast their net and take hostages. They love to ask questions and confront the Authority to try to show how educated they THINK they are. They are rebellious and they hate Authority. They try to hide and ACT humble and holy and pious. They seek to have their own crowd, and they seek out to find weak sheep. But there is a gift that Yahweh has provided to detect wolves. It is discernment between good and evil spirits. The wolf will always, always, always, be spotted by the one who has been gifted with the spirit of discernment. Your zipper is showing and you have been spotted and exposed.”

Curious to know the identity of the sender I did a reverse lookup on both the email address and the originating IP address. The IP reverse lookup showed that the message had originated from a location in Bastrop, Texas. The reverse lookup on the email address failed, but a former Tsiyon ministry leader has agreed with my assessment that the author was the same as above; he also believed the email address had previously been used by this person.

I then replied to the email address on the message with a copy to E (and a second time with a copy to the Promo and Media Dept head after the main address bounced). In my reply to “Dan”, I stated: “Your unsavory and accusatory comments are unfounded in truth. You are an undisguised wolf attacking the sheep, true followers of Messiah. This is very sad. Do not communicate with me again until and unless you desire to have an honest discussion.”

The response from the Promo and Media Dept head came later the same day in a comment posted to program #320 in which he states, “… This may sound crazy to some people, but I truly believe we need to shut up the teachings of other men and hang on close to the teachings that Yahweh gives to Eliyahu. … How can you fight when you still go to the great harlot Sunday after Sunday? Why are you still worshiping gods that cant hear, cant see, and cant speak? … There are actual people who have walked away from Tsiyon, and crawled right back into the belly of the harlot herself. It’s not even real bad yet, and they fell to the lust of their own flesh.”

In response to this third tirade, I sent a note to E on February 20 asking, “Do you agree with the statement in [Promo and Media Dept head’s], latest post, "I truly believe we need to shut up the teachings of other men", and is this by any chance connected with the vulgar harassment I received yesterday from "Dan” in Bastrop, Texas? He replied, “I don't speak for [Promo and Media Dept head], he was expressing his own opinion, and I don't know anything about Dan.”

In summary, I credit E for listening to my dissenting opinions and respectfully acknowledging those views. Unfortunately, he has also been approving postings by the head of his “Promo and Media Dept” in which this person: (1) Characterizes anyone retaining membership in a Christian church as being involved in spiritual whoredom; (2) Chastises those who disagree with E’s insinuations against the Messianic leader (3) Criticizes partners who listen to any teacher but E; (4) Intimates that those not perfectly aligned with E are wolves leading the sheep astray; (5) Recommends “shutting those teachings up”. By repeatedly approving such posts, E is accountable for the content even though he states that the person is speaking for himself. He refuses to acknowledge his accountability for these misleading and inflammatory statements by a key lieutenant and spokesman of his ministry.

Of yet greater concern are E’s insinuations that this Messianic leader is in league with Satanists who tried to kill him and his family. As noted by truthckr, he makes no direct accusation because he has no evidence for these charges. These insinuations are a serious violation of the ninth commandment, “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.” I am concerned and praying for the wellbeing of this person who is being falsely accused, and of all who are associated with Tsiyon Ministry. Like truthckr, I also still love E and his family and am praying earnestly for his restoration to YHWH.

As I've said before, I'm more or less done with this whole situation. However, I've been made aware of the accusations hurled in the direction of SAM wis and feel the need to comment.

Lets be clear:
Accusing someone of attempted murder -and arson for that matter -with no substantiation in any way is defamation. When said defamation is broadcast to the world at large, we call it libel. At its best, libel is uncouth. At it's worse, it is a crime. Which is perhaps exactly why Steve never comes right out and says who he is referring to, despite the fact its made obvious when he decides it would be a good use of airtime to examine the SAM logo.

In my opinion, the use of character assassination to defame dissenters is not becoming of a man who purports to speak for the perfect creator of the universe.

I want to thank ‘trthckr’ for bravely bringing to light some of the inconsistencies he and his wife have observed while living in close proximity to Steve & Dawn. I understand they were working partners helping with the Tsiyon ministry. I, for one, do believe in accountability and having only been introduced to this teacher via internet, I felt very disadvantaged to fully evaluate the integrity of things being presented. For me, a man’s words are only as good as the life he lives.

The disclosures of ‘relevant data’ and ‘trthckr’ have at least provided listeners with the information to make informed decisions about the teachers they are allowing to impact their thinking.

I am totally at a loss as to why parties with Set Apart Ministries have been chosen as the target of such venom in some of the recent programming. (Just a note: I am in no way associated with SAM) It seems SAM actually ‘had the nerve’ to ask questions, so perhaps that’s what set off this litany of accusations. This make so little sense that I’ve come to believe this was simply a ploy to create dramatic situations that might be an enticement to some types of listeners. Unfortunately, there will always be a small following of anyone who can create drama and inflame emotions by their words.

Please, let us return our thoughts and use of our time to YHWH with a heart hungry to hear from Him. My prayer is that all who have been impacted by this subject will allow these things to be a catalyst for growth and a new maturity in our walk. We cannot be blown about by every wind of doctrine, Ephesians 4:14 We will henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.

Smarternow77, thank you for these encouraging and insightful words. I am in agreement with you about returning our thoughts and time to YHWH. That is the heart of my wife and I now. I have only done the recent postings in view of the deceiptful workings of those claiming to be YHWH's servants. This simply had to be "brought to light' for the protection of believers and the Remnant.

I am praising YHWH that He has been the One who has been in control of this whole revelation of Steve/E all along. He has only used RevelantData and myself to bring forth the TRUTH, because YHWH is truth. The battle is His.

My wife and I are moving forward to part of the work of restoring Yeshua's Kingdom.

I also want to add, as I had mentioned in my earlier posts, that I too, had the chance to meet E/Steve Butt in person and spent time with his family and I saw disturbing red flags, inconsistencies(including contradictions in the way he responded to things) & Shabbat breaking has been one of them. At that time, I didn't have any problems with his programs. Not until recently that is. One of the things that I saw that was disturbing was that his way of life & character didn't match his teachings(at least that is what I saw some of the time while I was there, b/c I saw his good side/good points too) but I found it to be very confusing. & I found it to be very unsettling b/c I didn't know if I was to remain with E's ministry or not. I had asked YHWH this question for a long time and I asked YHWH for the Truth to come out. I asked YHWH to please allow other witnesses to see the red flags besides me.

Now, what I heard E/Steve has demonstrated in program number #318 against SAM, is, a man that showed his true colors and basically blew the whistle on himself. That this man cannot be the "White horse rider" that he is claiming himself to be. That he can't be the one to lead the remnant back through the 2nd Exodus. This program should have never been broadcasted for the world to hear. There are a lot of Christian radio stations around the USA broadcasting his programs too. Those statements in that program are big implied accusations & this is based on personal assumptions, and this is all b/c SAM found out about his past?, and b/c SAM had the courage to innocently question E/Steve about it? I was so disgusted & disappointed at hearing this program, that I feel that I can no longer listen to E's new programs that come out. Not to mention, he has been teaching about the evil one & his schemes for a yr. a half now or possibly longer than that. He hasn't taught on YHWH and His word in so long except for reruns that he plays from time to time. And that worries me. I mean what happens to the state of a man that is a strong believer in YHWH, when he or she spend so much studying about the evil one and his schemes. I would think that we need to be aware of the evil one's schemes, yes, but if we spend more time studying YHWH's word, teaching it, and really knowing the Word & knowing Him personally, then we should be able to recognize something that is a lie or that is not Truth.

And now, in light of recent events, the fire happening, & now E's past being revealed, that, this has affected this man's programs, that lies and inconsistencies are now showing up in his latest programs.

I really hope for a resolution to all of this and that E/Steve will do the right thing. As I still care for him and for E's/Steve's family.

you are all a bunch of silly Jezebel witches.

This comment is similar to an email I received from a person with the pseudonym, "Dan", with an interestingly similar user ID, eljay245. That email was reliably determined to be from Mr. David Crigger, head of the Tsiyon Promo and Media Dept. This is typical of the style of his communications, which are heartily endorsed by his boss, Steve/E.

It's funny you say that, dhkrause. When I first posted the video on youtube, It was commented on by a few people. A "eljay378" and a "Criggarious12". These two accounts could very well be this guy, talking to himself about how great Steve is.

I've reopened the comments so that anyone can have a read. Here's the video so you don't have to go digging.

I forgot to mention that when I read the comments on the latest programs on E/Steve's website, it appears to me that people are praising E/Steve in stead of YHWH. Like E/Steve is turning his faithful listeners into worshippers of men instead of worshippers of YHWH. And E/Steve seems to be getting glory out of it. Kinda of like let promote E/Steve and build his image again so people will turn and listen to him. And many of Criggers comments seem to be a repeat. Just an observation. It is so obvious to me that this can't be of YHWH.

Thank you, RelevantData, for reopening these comments. I have been reliably informed that Criggarious is David Crigger's son, Brian. Both of them have been part of Steve's onsite team in Bastrop, Texas for many months. Their remarks about just now discovering his website are both comical and indicative of the level of integrity of this ministry.
