Its pretty clear, I think, I don't have those particular problems. I have reasonably sucessfully shed the belief bases behind those perceived problems there(?)
PS: Perhaps excluding the social problems, which still frequently have their way with me.

The social problems have typically always been a problem for me as well, but my challenge has been the reverse of yours in my moderately long life: i.e. my gaining of religious belief out of, and beyond, an essential state of disbelief. Science I'm naturally acclimated toward.

I'm a natural skeptic and dismissive question asker, which is one reason my daddy used to spank me ..... :D

I think I've moved onwards from that moderately long life thing(?).. Y'know .. more like: approaching the initial stages of the 'old-lifer' set(?)

.. and so you continue to line up for even more of that, here .. at the hands of scientific thinkers, what's more!

I'm just playing the Philosopher's Hand. That's what we do: we ask evaluative questions of everything. .....Until we find some truth, however small.

We're in a Physical Sciences forum, man!
The useful purpose, therefore, is to toss out the truths, once distinguished.

I was under the impression that even in science, we are interested in "provisional truths"? Is this not still the case?

Besides, not every aspect of science is empirical (which is what this thread is about, essentially). And you seemed to have laughed off one of my sources for the "scientific methods" in another thread, and what's more, you didn't actually explain why you laughed it off.

When last I checked, laughing off someone else derisively isn't the same as an explanation. Nor is condescension.

So, yeah. This is a Physical Sciences & Life Sciences forum, man. :)

Well, evidently not in your case, where/when your provisional truths are conceived as being deliberately untestable!

I'll just ignore that complaint ... :p

I don't think you even have a solid handle on what I think or believe. And I don't really see any sufficient effort on your part to find out either.
I'll just ignore that complaint ... :p
That's sort of trollish, don't you think?

Take it away? Oh, I'm just getting warmed up. Duh-oood.
