NO where ever have I said Hovind is GOD. THereis only one GOD HIS name IS JESUS CHRIST

But you did say that to disagree with Hovind is to disagree with God. So at the very least, you believe that God either speaks to or through Hovind, or did at one time.

A lot of people would like to believe that about Hovind... especially Hovind himself.

How is it that when I stand up for what I beleive in, which is JESUS CHRIST , THE BIBLE is HIS word and true, I am called rude! THose are my beleifs I will defend them all these others who are being sarcastic toward christians are not being called rude! People who are not christians don't understand the Bible therefore they twist and turn things around to make others think they know what they are talking about!

Well, no rudeness here. Just a few strawmen and sweeping generalizations about people who disagree with your inerpretation of Scripture.

Because, Jesus was generally thought of as a humble man. Think about how he would act before you shout YOU ARE NOT CHRISTIAN AND MUST NOT KNOW THE BIBLE.
or MY LORD IS JESUS CHRIST.

Would jesus act in such a way?

Hovind's claims are completely false and have been disproven many times. Hovind has nothing to do with science, his claims are nothing but lies and religious beliefs.

Is that your final answer or do you want some time to think it over a bit more?

BTW what is wrong with "religious beliefs"?

"inerpretation"? do you think they are inapt?

ALERT**ALERT this is an attempt at a joke. I know it's not a good attempt, but it's the best I could come up with.

First of all , Pete Harcoff , What makes you think you are such an expert?

I consult other experts. :D

Seriously, though, the scientific data is there. Anyone can have a look at it. People can make whatever claims they want. Either the data will support their claims or it won't. In the two examples I gave, the data does not support Hovind's claims. If you want to go into detail about it, start a thread on those topics.

I'm asking for why's.
I know that some people think that Hovind's claims are completely false, and I'm asking "Why?"

Because science, by and large, does not rest solely on opinion. It rests on empirical evidence. Either the evidence supports a claim or it doesn't. It's that simple.

With respect to Hovind, the evidence (cumulative evidence, at that) does not support his claims. Pick a claim Hovind has made and start a thread on it.

Because he uses false information.
Missinterprets the information to suit his needs.
Doesnt bother to research his information.
Lacks any evidence.

I could go on, but thats enough for now. :D

I thought science was based on creative writing and how good of a story you can tell about the so called evidence that you produce. People then decide how believable your story is, even if it is a product of your imagination.

A lot of what Dr. Dino bases his teaching on is that so much of evolutionary theory has been proven wrong, that what remains is only a matter of time before is is proven not to be accurate.

He likes to quote Holt and others who were big critics of darwin, even back at the time his books were first published. To show that darwin was never accepted by the people who really knew what they were doing and talking about.

He is very pro science, and considers himself a scientist. After all he taught science for 15 years, so science is our friend. But science is just misguided in a few areas and needs to see the light of the truth that we have in our Bible.

What science did he teach? Where did he teach the science (what grade)?

Unfortunatly, this is a missguided view of science.
Unless it was a joke. :) then it was a good one. :D

Well, at least someone appreciates my humor :)

He taught high school science in christian schools. He is very anti government. To him public schools are a product of the so called "new" world order that has been around a few hundred years.

He is one of those conspiracy theory guys. I think they are taking a chance on getting themselves thrown right into the tribulation period, because that is the only place that their conspiracy theorys stand a chance of coming true. I for one do not plan to be around as we will be "raptured" out of here.

I am sure he believes in the rapture, but his teaching does not tend to reflect that belief.

How about this Dr Dino claim:

"For 2,000 years, nearly all Christians believed and taught that the earth was approximately 4,000 years old as revealed by God’s Word. In the early 1800s, some unbelievers began to teach that the earth was "millions of years old." This old earth teaching laid the groundwork for the evolution theory, which became popular a few years later. In an effort to blend both beliefs, some theologians invented the "gap theory" which allowed "millions of years" to be placed between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2.

As this new gap theory began to be accepted by the church in the early 1800s, the majority of Christians offered little resistance. This effectively "neutralized" them in the war between the Bible and the rapidly spreading world view of evolutionism. This godless theory resulted in the rise of such philosophies as communism, humanism, and Nazism. The acceptance of the gap theory opened the floodgates for these ideologies, which have caused untold suffering as well as hundreds of millions of deaths in the last two centuries.

We hope this booklet will help the reader see that the gap theory, which many well meaning people have promoted, is unscriptural, unscientific, unnecessary and is a dangerous compromise of God’s Word."
