Be carefull with getting over zealous about anything, including christianity and god. As they say, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." :)

What I meant by... without God that there are no morals to abide by was actually if there was no God, not that there is no morals if you don't believe in him.

Morat, I would be interested in seeing info about the distinct species, not being sarcastic by the way.

Sorry, but I have a real zeal after feeling the Holy Spirit.  I really get angry sometimes when I can'r express myself and see people attacking what I know as Christianity.

And yes I would tend to disagree with Catholicism.

You say that the Dr.Dino thing about the Bar Codes is wrong, well that great but what about his other science???

I gave a couple examples of his faulty science (post #39). Like others have suggested, start a thread on some specific things Hovind claims and we can discuss them.

Ok Lucaspa, what exactly did you mean there?  First of all people say that I shouldn't say anything against what they believe as that is calling 75% of believers non-Christians.

But because I'm human, and still get angry from time to time, my interpretation of Christianity is then false?

No, I'm gonna continue believing in the Holy Bible. When I was saved Jesus helped me without a doubt.

I  as a Christian agree totally   with Dr Hovind and do not see how any other christian could disagree with his views as they line up with the bible!I highly reccomend  drdino .com . I think if you are not a christian ,you would have trouble with his views as you have trouble with GOD's views!

To disagree with Hovind is to disagree with God.

Hovind's views are God's views.

Ergo, Hovind is God.

This will officially be recorded as the single most frightening post in Christianforums history.

This has nothing to do with Jesus saving you.  We accept that Jesus saved you.  This has to do with your human pride in insisting on your literal interpretation of Genesis 1-8. Because of that pride and that insistence, you now have a heretical religion. Christianity as a whole is fine, unless of course you get everyone to agree with you.

Most Christians are evolutionists.  They basically sit back, make some popcorn, open a Coke, and watch God, thru His Creation, tell them how God created.

You, OTOH, presume to tell God how He created.  You forget that, since God created, that everything in the physical universe studied by science was put there by God.  While trumpeting God as Creator, you don't really beleive it.  Since God really created, then all the evidence of an old earth, evolution of new species, evolution of humans, Big Bang, etc. had to have been put there by God.  No one else could have done it.  When you deny what people find via science, you are denying God.  You are saying that you have the right to say how God created no matter what God says.  That's apostasy.

Even worse, when you insist that the earth is only 6,000 years old or that all species were specially created, you are calling God a liar.  You are saying that all that evidence He put in Creation is a lie. In a way, I admire your chutzpah.  Here you are accepting salvation from Jesus on one hand and calling His Father a liar on the other!  And you expect that Jesus won't withdraw salvation!  That's pretty amazing brass on your part and even more an incredibly (supernaturally?) nice guy on Jesus' part.

But you are still saying that God is a liar.  Now, if that isn't heretical, I don't know what is.

OOH! Nice logic.

I don't think the apostasy of creationism has ever been shown more boldly than in Francie's post.

I don't put the Bible above or equal to Jesus.  And I don't care if anyone want's to twist that by mentioning that Jesus was the word become flesh.

When I pray, I pray to God, the Heavenly Father, through his son, our mediator and saviour, Jesus.

I'm sure that's how you pray, Gordi.  But it doesn't change that you put your interpretation of the Bible (which is different than the Bible) above God. While you are praying through Jesus, you are calling his father a liar.

I would never dare call God a liar.  I resent what you have just said.  I am a human, I make mistakes in my judgement.  There is a BIG difference in misinterpretation of God word, and calling him a liar.

God understands that I make mistakes, Jesus forgives me for them.  I am not part of a heretical religion.

I may have had error of judgement.

What we can prove is that the earth is not 6,000 years old.  The exact age can't be proven.

1. Formation of all the sedimentary rocks, some in layers miles thick.  Deposition of those miles of sediments can't have happened in 6,000 years.  Bringing in the Flood to try to account for it doesn't help, because there is other evidence showing there never was a Flood.

You keep forgetting the "other" YEC theory, that when the glaciers melted they had a lot of material they had picked up along the way and there could have been large amounts of fragments deposited in a very short period of time.

Of course the problem with this is you have to throw in a gap theory for good measure, because it may have taken a while for those glaciers to pick up all those fragments. But who knows, maybe they had a turbo charger and the glaciers moved very fast to pick up all that material.
