When He discussed operation warp speed he basically said "time will tell" if he is still be president in the future . I genuinely thought he was crazy.

The fact that he hasn't been entertaining the reality that he has lost the presidency strikes me as good enough reason for you to sustain the belief that he isn't a reasonable person. But, that's just me.

I'm just wondering if we may have a punctuation issue here that could clarify what the OP is saying.
For example, if the thread title was:
"Doh, I wasted 4 years falsely believing. Trump is totally crazy."
It was clear up a lot and the OP would make more sense and wouldn't seem to be a contradiction.

I'm fairly certain that's implied in 'time will tell"...
Statements like "I will be president in the future" are indicative of not entertaining any other possibility..
Time will tell, is free game for any possibility, in time.
