Does your doing away with your sin, earn you the right to get into Heaven...? And/or does it...?

Can you explain to us how that actually happens or works...?
Once wasn't enough for you?

Oh, and your "sinless"...?
What?? Where did you get the idea that I'm sinless? Lots of people are, but usually not by the time they get to my age - and I'm not in the minority.

You seem to be trying to get at something or make a point. Stop beating around the bush.

Alright, what does God doing it and you letting Him, what does that "mean"...? what's it "look like", ect...?

I'm not really (beating around the bush, or whatever) (and I do not really have any especially hidden agenda or point involved either) they are simple honest questions that I have about doing it or letting God do it in my own life kind of thing... That's why I am wanting to know...? I need some more details though is all...?

Do you sit around kick back and do nothing and God just (what, waves a magic wand) and does it...? Or do you do, or have to do some things (too) ect...? What are those things, ect...? What does it "look like"...?

Is it a cooperative effort or not, ect...?

What does it look like...?

God Bless!

God gives everyone the grace needed to respond to his invitation to be in a relationship with him. I need to respond positively to that grace. That's the meaning of the word faith.

Faith is an action, it's something that we do. It's a work, not something passive at all, and I can do it only because God gives me the ability to do it.

I already answered that. It's faith: an act of the will by which one binds oneself to another.

What does it "look like"...?
That'd be unique to each person. God doesn't call everyone to the same things and not everyone has the same understanding of God and his revelation. If you have the full revelation (like, you learned the faith from the Apostles or those they said to obey), it would look like repent and be baptised for the remission of sins, and obey the teachings of the Apostles.

BTW, what's with all of the quote symbols? It's really strange.

I looked all the way through 2 Corinthians and did not see any of that. I honestly don't know how you can read any of that into the book. If Paul has not said directly to them, "You are carnal Christians", then you are making a statement that is not there and that you are adding to what Paul is actually saying.
Sorry for the late response. I meant 1 Corinthians. Paul speaks to carnal Christians specifically.

1 Corinthians 3:1-3 "And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able."

There are babes in Christ and usually those who are young in their walk. That's why we shouldn't judge people so harshly to see if they are saved or not or "fruit inspect", because everyone is on different parts of their walk and not everyone is mature yet.

Here is Paul's description of the Corinthian church:

"4 I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. 5 For in him you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge— 6 God thus confirming our testimony about Christ among you. 7 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. 8 He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord" (1 Corinthians 1:4-9).

This description of the Corinthian church beats around 90% of our churches across denominations today! This means that that 90% of all current Christian believers could be described as "carnal".

Hmm I didnt "do away with sin" Christ did. Behold the lamb of God that takes way the sins of the world. So.. is it I that sin or sin that is in me? And just WHO is sinning? Is this flesh nothing more then a host? My "ticket" to heaven.. has nothing what so ever to do with sin. That sin that can not enter heaven. Again.. just who is sinning? Spirit soul and body.

We need to get back to "why Christ died". We keep thinking its for that sin of lying or lust so forth so on. As for Zacchaeus.. ah theres more to that story. The rich man :)
