I voted Yes. Being white, i know theres a good chance if i get pulled over that the cop will be strictly business and not give me a tough time. I received a better education where i grew up then minorities did who live in Hartford which is only 10 to 15 minutes from where i live. Better education means more job opportunities

The judicial system is biased. Despite the fact that the black population is i think less then a quarter of Americas total population, there are far more blacks in prison then there are whites

If im driving through the city its possible that i might see 8 or 9 people who are hispanic or black before i see a white person. They live in a far more dangerous environment then i do

Racism and oppression do most certainly exist in America
have you considered that there are more blacks in prison because more blacks commit more of the crimes?

A lot of crime isn't economically motivated...

A conspiracy theory that is unique in that it is so nebulous that it doesn't even posit causes and affects of any kind. The whole point of the theory seems to be not to explain how it actually works...

The same reason you believe whites are disproportionately in positions of power.
You think we live under Jewish supremacy?

Why do you think that is?
I would point to social-ecconomic conditions, some have linked it to the lack of a father in many black households. It is far to easy to claim victim status compared to working hard at improving.

But when other groups regularly have to work even harder based on their starting circumstances in life, it's not wrong to point that out.

It's easier to say 'just work hard and improve' when one group might not have as far to improve themselves as another.

Are you speaking about the people who are not accepted into college or selected for a promotion because they are not a minority.

No, more the people who are so poor they don't get within striking distance of a college application.

And I can see what canards you're playing with, so just so there is no ambiguity - this affects non-whites to a greater degree than whites.

I doubt that, in fact I believe the pendulum swung too far and got stuck well before it returned to neutral

Blacks seem to have an edge when it comes to college admittance, and in some situations, hiring.
But not in others - Minorities Who 'Whiten' Job Resumes Get More Interviews

In fact, companies are more than twice as likely to call minority applicants for interviews if they submit whitened resumes than candidates who reveal their race—and this discriminatory practice is just as strong for businesses that claim to value diversity as those that don’t

If your conclusion is correct, you haven't actually proven it by what you posted prior to giving it. Correlation is not proof of causation. You need to show that there is a cause and effect relationship. Perhaps you might attempt to do that before concluding something is the case.? Starting with a conclusion is the exact opposite of how scientific study and critical thinking work. For instance, the example the OP gave of American football teams being composed of 70% black athletes. Should one immediately conclude that American football is a hotbed of black supremacy? or is a hotbed of white supremacy because 75% of the coaches are white? As the coaches are paid less on average than the athletes, I could jump to the conclusion that the black athletes are oppressing the white coaches. As the coaches have some authority over the black athletes livelihood I could jump to the conclusion that the white coaches are oppressing the black athletes. Jumping to conclusions is not the way to acquire the truth.

I have made my point. If the two of you want to judge the poor and oppressed, and look down on them you have the free will to do so

Im just trying my best to be like Jesus Christ. He loved the poor and oppressed. He had compassion and sympathy for them. Have a nice day

when has this not been the case?

Martin Luther King Jr. did alot to move things in a positive direction, but since then there hasn't been much moral leadership on the issue.

Terminology has a bad habit of becoming a label in today's culture. I've seen members accused of white privilege on the site. It makes me cringe. The frequent use of loaded words has diminished their sting. If we grasped the ugliness of what we're suggesting. We'd be less inclined to accuse someone of doing the same.

Some of us need to liberate our vocabulary and remove these terms from circulation. They're too commonplace.

Yours in His Service,

~bella
