If I was born blind, how would you prove to me or convince me that the sun exist?

So what was the object from which this photo was taken? Could it be seen?People with sight can't see the sun, only the light the sun puts off, much like God, we can't see him, only the affect He has on the earth.

Use a telescope that translates photon hits on the CCD into a raised textured map that you can touch. You can adjust the the output so as to show only the temperature ranges that you want. Using the laws of gravity and other observations you can also calculate the Earth's orbit around the hot mass that you detected with your telescope. This will allow you to calculate the distance to the hot mass. You can then calculate the needed energy output that the hot mass would need in order to heat the Earth. The orbits would also give you the mass, and the telescope readings would give you the surface temps and circumference.
We could then move into neutrino release which we could also translate into the same textured map instead of a visual display. This would allow you to determine the fusion reactions occuring in the Sun along with photon bandpass filters for spectrophotometry that would allow you to determine the elemental makeup of the Sun.

I could be wrong - but while I know blind people may wonder what "colour" and "light" are like, I have yet to hear of cases where a blind person didn't know what the sun itself was.

QueSi said:Sure, objects (like cameras, radars, etc) can "see" the sun, but alas, we can not with the naked eye. If there was an object close enough and bright enough to illuminate the sun with electro-magnetic waves from the correct part of the visual spectrum, which would then be reflected into our eyes, then we could see the sun, besides that, we can only see pictures of the sun. It is a burning ball of gas. Light must be reflected off of an object, not emitted from it, in order for the object to be seen.
