Who is responsible for making sure the flock gets tended and fed?

You say: who is responsible, but that is not what the text says. Jesus doesn't say: Peter you're responsible to feed the entire flock.

And when he talks about the flock he calls himself "fellow-elder" in his epistle. Not: "the superior elder"....

But did Peter feed the flock in Thessalonica, Lystra, etc..???

That was handled in Ephesians 4 with the explanation of why He gives teachers etc.
SO, teachers just rise up from the ground and a letter of authenticity floats down from heaven to ensure that everyone knows that he/she is preaching the authentic message?

I think one reason people reject the Papacy is because Western culture has all but destroyed the ancient idea & concept of "Family". Why did the Jews call the patriarchs "fathers" and why did they refer to Abraham as "Father Abraham"? Because their sense of "family" was much deeper than our shallow idea of mom, dad, and the kids (which is also disappearing). The people of God were a Family in the Semitic understanding. (BTW: This is one reason why they had no word for cousin. Everyone was a brother or a father.)

Then comes Jesus. He transforms the people of God from being tied by blood to being tied by "spirit". This is why has says that whoever leaves mother and brothers will gain many more. So the people of God still have the family structure, but we are joined by spirit and not blood.

This is why we Catholics have Father So-and-so as our local priest, the bishops are fathers, and the Pope is the Holy Father, kind of like Father Abraham. We have Mother Teresa, brothers and sisters... ...you get the point. When one looks at the People of God in this fashion, the whole thing becomes very clear. Protestants are kind of like the kid who runs away from home and yells back over his shoulder, "You're not my father anymore!" Well, he cannot change the fact thatn his father will always be his father, regardless of how much he ignores him And no one can change the fact that the Pope is the Pope - the shepherd of Christianity, regardless of how much they try.

"Feed my sheep". Pretty sure this means all of them.

And Peter was called Satan, and denied the Lord 3x, and was proven in the wrong by Paul..... ...,.
...and yet went on to write infallible scripture. So what's your point? Also, many popes have been proven to have done wrong things. So what. Paul did not prove any of Peter's TEACHINGS wrong though. That is where you err.

Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

God is my Father and Christ is my chief shepherd.

The hierarchy of power eminating from rome is not needed and is not in the Bible.

BTW, I blame liberal ideals for the destruction of the American family.

Doesn't the Roman church and Orthodox read Revelation?

Christ told us NOT to call anyone Father. That's why the term Pope is so wrong.
Christ told us NOT to call anyone teacher. That's why the term Magisterium is so wrong.
Christ told us not to wear these ostentatious garments, have first places at our feasts and in our meetings.

It's all in Matthew 23. So, why are Roman Catholics still doing this in disobedience to the express instructions of the Lord?

Yes, he gave teachers. HE gave teachers. But you guys make yourself your OWN teachers and reject the one's HE gave. That is the problem.
