Sure,
How does that contradict my Prime Directive then?

Sure,
How does that contradict my Prime Directive then?
I didn't say it was in the least bit plausible for the Earth to suddenly stop spinning.
If you think stopping the earth's rotation was too hard, check out this doosey God did:
Isaiah 38:8 Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
He not only stopped the forward rotation of the earth, He reversed it ten degrees!![]()
I baffles me that you find this believable.
Except there is a problem with this argument, stopping the Earth spinning on its axis does not stop the moon's motion across the sky.
If the Prime Directive is not to be violated requires if the Bible states ø or x then go with ø or x respectively. No, it doesn't.
It states:
4. Bible says ø, Science says x = go with x
Except there is a problem with this argument, stopping the Earth spinning on its axis does not stop the moon's motion across the sky. It will move slowly in a west to east direction.
If the Prime Directive is not to be violated requires if the Bible states ø or x then go with ø or x respectively.
Rule #4 clearly violates your Prime Directive as you're going with what the science says not the Bible.
Good grief. How? running on angular momentum?
If so, what if the momentum is drained out at the same time the earth's rotation is halted?
After all, if momentum hadn't been drained, then those in Mesopotamia would have ended up in China.
And the same logic applies, if the Bible does not state requires science does not state in order for the Prime Directive not to be violated otherwise you are admitting science knows more than the Bible."If the Bible states" is the key to understanding this.
4. Bible says ø, Science says x = go with x
Rule 4 applies in situations where the Bible does not state.
Stubborn resistance to reality is a characteristic you exhibit. It shouldn't.
I believe in miracles, which is an integral part of my faith.
Good grief.
The moon orbits the Earth, stopping the Earth's rotation will reveal this motion.
And the same logic applies, if the Bible does not state requires science does not state ...
Stubborn resistance to reality is a characteristic you exhibit.
What are you going on about?Or a miracle.
How? angular momentum?
If so, what if the momentum is drained out at the same time the earth's rotation is halted?
So therefore ø = does not state becomes x = does state and rule #4 still contradicts your Prime Directive as science knows more than the Bible since you go with x.Then Rule 5 applies.
5. Bible says ø, Science says ø = free to speculate on your own
What are you going on about?
The moon has an orbital angular momentum irrespective if the Earth is spinning on its axis or not.
So therefore ø = does not state becomes x = does state and rule #4 still contradicts your Prime Directive as science knows more than the Bible since you go with x.
It remarkable how your your fairy tale has unfolded in this thread with comments like "what if the momentum is drained out at the same time the earth's rotation is halted?".God did it.
Rather than God doing it, orbital angular momentum of the moon was worked by Newton in the 17th century.Neat.
This is blind faith in operation and your inability to accept the logical flaws found in your reasoning.Spin it however you want.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
So? By this logic, there was once a point where electrons were not part of reality.Good question. We can touch, smell, see, experience and do stuff with the reality we live in. Not so much with Dark Energy.
It remarkable how your fairy tale has unfolded in this thread with comments like "what if the momentum is drained out at the same time the earth's rotation is halted?".
It's your fairy tale not God's.
Dark energy is a mysterious force that appears to be causing the expansion of the universe to accelerate.
Was the once upon a time our reality that we are living in?So? By this logic, there was once a point where electrons were not part of reality.
This doesn't even make any sense. If you have a better "fairy tale" that adheres to the standards I put forth in Post 112, I'd love to hear it.
