Does God still use dreams/visions?

I didnt know what thread to post this in so feel free to move if need be!
I want to talk about dreams and visions sent by God. Do you believe these are still happening today? Were they lost in time like some say speaking in tongues were? Have you ever experienced a dream or vision and were certain they were from God?

I have one dream where i spoke to an angel who encouraged me to read the Bible to prepare for tribulation when i was a child. This one i am uncertain of. the rest im certain were sent from God.
I have had two convincing dreams of people who i knew who passed away and were sent to answer my doubts and questions about God, Jesus, the after life.
I had one "vision" during a seizure (had never had one before) while experimenting with psychadelic mushrooms where i was sent to hell for a brief moment. Long enough to send me to God without ever looking back and solidify my faith. Hell was not like the movies in this vision. Ive dreamt of hell like in the movies but this experience was different. Real.
My last dream came saturday.
Ive been having a rough time in my marriage and God has not been the center of it. I expressed my concern with my husband and saturday night i dreamt of Jesus saving us from a tidal wave that crushed everything around us but we were untouched. I saw Jesus in this dream but he wouldnt turn so i could see his face. But he grabbed my hand and kept us safe as the tidal wave consumed everything else.
Im convinced God was sending me a message about my marriage, and keeping Him at the center will save us from anything.
I could elaborate on any of these but i tried writing this two other times before this one that were long and then i lost them before i could post.

I also had a dream of a tidal wave which Christ in it.

But Christ did not appear as a person but as a rock, a place of refuge amidst a storm.

There's a difference in my dream. There were people in the huge waves and seem to be having fun with it, oblivious to the danger. So I guess it is not literal, a figurative dream.

But those who were in this rock, the huge waves did not harm them.

I don't know, maybe in the future, the system or even technology, we took for granted would be our demise. We could be digging our own graves.

Hope you sort out the rough patch in your marriage!

I dreamt of talking to Jesus. I was having an episode of my severe anxiety when i fell asleep and dreamt of me praying to Jesus. I prayed, Jesus I've been struggling long and hard then suddenly there was light and a voice spoke from the sky and said "marry me" and then i woke up. It was strange and I'm confused with this message. I thought Jesus wanted me to have an intimare relationship with him because I know I've lost my faith in him...

We would have to be past "the last days" for spiritual gifts to have disappeared.

“ ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. (Acts 2:17, 1984 NIV)

We'd also have to believe that God doesn't want to interact with us even though Jesus died for the express reason of enabling us to reconnect to God. It could only be rooted in the idea that our sin has put up such a wall that we have pushed God away from this kind of interaction. However, Scripture teaches that while that "wall" is real, it is broken through by genuine faith, which Scripture clearly teaches God gives to people. In response to the apostles exclaiming "increase our faith," Jesus taught to do "everything you were told to do" (Luke 17:5-10), which is often summarized as abiding in Christ and/or being obedient to him.

Note that Satan also gives people dreams. Knowledge of the Word—and knowing Jesus' personality helps a lot—helps a person to discern what could be from God and what couldn't. Checking with church elder-types about it is a good idea (which you did by writing your OP in a place where some read).

I can't say whether your dream was from God or not, but I can say that studying the Bible prepares you for the tribulation, and/or enables you to prepare children for it.

Watch the video posted here. I believe none of what he says contradicts Scripture, so you might use it as a check against your own vision (as an easy way to access Scripture by which you can test your experience).

The absolute best thing you can do for your marriage (and everything else) is keep Jesus at the center of it, and the main thing that means is get to know him, trust him, and obey him (which includes connecting with him daily). If you do the best you can with this then you are the best you can for your marriage. You need to do it whether your spouse does or not. You didn't really say it is in a state of crisis, but to anyone in a crisis regarding everything, read Scripture and try to understand what you read every day, and set aside a little while to unplug from the world and pray several times a day. A typical pattern is after waking up, over lunch, around dinner time, and before bed. If you do two out of those four, you're still doing well.

It is not up to you to make your spouse do the same, but certainly talk about it if he is open to it. It's something we should all be doing, individually, anyway. Marital counseling from an experienced marriage counselor is also a good idea (try another counselor if either of you dislikes one).

As I have been taught, dreams can have three sources. And those sources are spirit, soul, body. Spirit dreams are from God or Devil, soul dreams are from your own unconscious mind, body dreams are from too much Pizza . I personally believe I've experienced all three.
