How to cope with not being with the woman God had for you?

God gave me many signs about a certain woman, I believed I was called to marriage, and that she was the one God had for me. Earlier this year, I had the sense of a supernatural connection with this woman through the Holy Spirit. I could hear her voice in my spirit. Her voice told me she reciprocated my feelings. But I destroyed everything, through insulting her in the spirit. My mind became filled with insulting thoughts about her and it escalated into an ugly and evil mental obsession. There were horrific and evil images going through my mind, and I felt like she could sense that and was horrified. I didn't want to think these thoughts, yet they entered my soul and I was damaged interiorly from this. I tried to pray against it, but the obsession only continued to grow. Every time I think about her I cry because the dreams God previously put in my heart will never come to pass.
God told me yesterday in prayer she will marry someone else and I had two dreams about her being pregnant. I cried for a whole hour and poured my heart out to the Lord to no avail.
I feel destroyed inside. I feel such emptiness that I don't know what to do. I have lost interest in life completely and nothing interests me anymore. It's like I do not feel like anything will ever fulfill me or make me happy again. I don't know why I am here on this earth. To add to my detriment, I am mentally ill according to people around me, and I have lived sinfully. Why did God let this happen?

Many Christians subscribe to the "God controls every aspect of life" view. This view tends to allow people to blame God for everything that goes wrong. A view that holds some degree of individual free will begins to make us responsible for many of our actions. I tend towards the free will view as there are many admonitions in the bible for us to bear one another's burdens, encourage and pray for one another, and walk by the Spirit rather than the flesh. These appeals seem predicated on our having free will.

If the free will view is valid, then we have a responsibility to make the best decisions we cam, learn and mature in faith, and learn from our mistakes. As far as mental health goes, one can investigate and experiment with medication, diet and supplements, as well as physical exercise to see what improvements can be achieved.

In regard to happiness, I have observed that those who pursue selfish interests tend to not achieve much happiness. However, those who pursue selflessness often find it. 1Cor 13:4-7 defines love as pretty much selflessness. There may be much you can do to improve your situation. I would like to offer encouragement to do so

If the Father in Heaven requires something to occur, it occurs. What you believe God meant to occur, matters not at all in the face of what actually occurred, if reality is different. You say:

Your construction inside, and that which filled you inside, and your interest in life, was the woman and women, and not the life and purpose God has for you. I'll encourage you to humble yourself to God, confess and learn to confess these things, and ask Him to replace your lust and your fulfilment in the flesh, with the purposes God has truly made for you.

No offence but sorry you did not. This whole premise you have that you did is outside of the place that God says takes place between two human spirits. I think you can feel somebody likes you (romantically speaking) but even then you can be wrong. I know I was many years ago about someone and it did break my heart. I got over it though in time though it took a number of months.

Drop that right now. You did not insult anyone in the spirit that you did not speak words too.

I'll show you what you're doing. I did it many years ago as well so I'm not judging you but here's what you're doing and what I had done as well. I put a female in the place of God in my life. I wasn't developing and stirring up the gift of the Holy Spirit within me if I had I wouldn't have felt as you call it emptiness. If I were trusting God then I would have chosen to be joyful whether I felt like it or not and thanked him continually that he has a companion for me and whether it be that young lady or someone else....thank you Jesus that you're bringing it about. In the meantime I'm going to advance your kingdom and take my focus off myself and on to being a blessing to others.

I don't know why I am here on this earth.

All human beings, all of them are down here to have a relationship and fellowship with God and to be a part of his family. It's no hidden mystery as some might think. The Bible has been clear.

Oh that's horrible. So I guess you wish were perfect like I and the rest of us. MY POINT....we've all been in the same boat as you and still struggle and might sin from time to time. The important thing is that we seek to embrace a choice to continually change and to go from glory to glory. If you choose to have the will for that your past sins Jesus puts in his blood. They become not just forgiven but blotted out and you start each day like it's a fresh new page.

Not all signs are from God, no matter how uncanny or seemingly miraculous or incredible.

Some can come from the devil and meant to destroy you, ruin your life.

Some signs simply come from your mind out of your strongest desires. This too can lead you into ruin.

Find out how to know what to do. Find out how to submit to God so He is guiding you about what to do. At any moment, we can offer ourselves to God and discover what He has us do. And never mind how already we have failed to submit to God. Start now and discover.

I am mentally ill according to people around me, and I have lived sinfully. Why did God let this happen?

And do these people tell you that God is able to have our minds functioning in obedience to Him?

If you have lived sinfully, this can be part of why you have had major trouble. We can not be with God and at the same time be sinning.

And Jesus has us blessing, not cursing. So, even if you have spiritually cursed her, now we can bless her. Love her, by blessing her.

You are not some special case; every one of us needs to trust God and fully depend on Him, and get real correction by God so we are loving any and all people the way Jesus says to love all people.

Don't seek ypur own happiness. Seek God and serve others and although you may still have difficulties, you will have what you need in life in Him.

Many people seek happiness and find success, but take their lives because they don't find what they truly seek.

Get your eyes off of you and on the Lord. Let Him be your vision.

I would also encourage you to stop seeing your uniqueness as a handicap. We are mentally ill when our thought patterns are unhealthy. You need to see the gift in how you are uniquely made.

And I'm not against meds if it would help. I'm just saying that you will handicap yourself by identifying with ill thinking.

Don't let others put labels on you. Don't receive it in your heart. Let God reveal to you and submit it all to him and He will heal you. You may not be like everyone else, but you will be well

Learn something here. It is only what GOD thinks that matters.

He did not "let" it happen, (whatever it really was that happened —not your assessment /opinion of it) —he CAUSED it to happen, and that, for his own purposes. His purposes are HIS, not yours. You belong to God. This life is not about you; it is about GOD. You can lose nothing in this life that he will not MORE THAN MAKE UP FOR IN THE NEXT, and that, for his OWN sake.

You are here for Lord Jesus.

No opinion besides our Maker's should decide and determine who we are.

If people around us determine our worth and our joy, then we are in idolatry making them our god.

God doesn't take you nearly so seriously as you take yourself. When a child screams at a parent, "I hate you", or such, it hurts both the parent and the child, but the parent knows better than to think that is the end of the matter.

Your rebellion, on the other hand, he takes completely seriously; I'd start looking for his mercy.

We are not fellow-sentients with God, operating on his level. And while our will is very much involved in what we decide to do and what we say, it is not the only operator there. If you belong to God, he will not lose you. And if you don't belong to God, Heb 6 is far from your only problem. I'd start looking for his mercy.

God's mercy is the only safe place to be anyway.

You need to put your trust and faith in God. Dont let your own desires or thoughts change that.

God is love and mercy. Pray that 'God's' will, will be done, not yours.

Also, dont let the devil turn you away from God. Fight the good fight. Stay strong in prayer and trust in God no matter what happens in your life.

Whoa there little brother. Take it easy and have a sweet tea. Let me tell you that your Father is far from abandoning you!

The fact that you care what God thinks about you is an indication you are not lost or gone.

Lord Jesus will never turn His back on you and will always take you back if you are being genuine with Him.

He will not give up on you if you do not give up on Him! You can take this to the bank... He DIED for you already and proved it.

Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

He knew you were going to do everything you've done and make every mistake you have ever made.

John 6:37
All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.

Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”

God is not rejecting you now, even if you have feelings that make you think so, and "punishing" you for what you have done by giving you the silent treatment is not His style man.

You need to take it easy on yourself a bit there little brother. Don't go off listening to negative voices of condemnation since we know that is what the enemy does being the "accuser of the brethren." (Revelation 12:10)

No child with an honest heart seeking to do well will be rejected by the Lord Jesus who loves you more than anyone on Earth ever could.

John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

He loves you with an unstoppable love and He can fill every need inside your heart and remove all idols if we seek Him.

God is love my man, He is pure and undiluted overpowering and uncompromising love.

1 John 4:17-19
17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 19 We love Him because He first loved us.

He loved you before you ever loved Him in the first place. He has not stopped loving you because of any sin or mistake.

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

Hebrews 12:22-24
22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,

Lord Jesus did not die to condemn you (John 3:17), but is rather in Heaven right now speaking on your behalf and His blood is speaking better things over you than the blood of Abel!

Get into these scriptures and get these scriptures into you. Don't let the enemy whisper lies in your ear about God and your relationship with Him.

Write them down and get them into your heart. God's Word heals us. (Proverbs 4:22)

1 John 4:7-8
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

God is holding you in your pain and washing you in the rain.

He is not interested in breaking you down, but building you up and He will never leave you nor forsake you like He promised. (Hebrews 13:5)

Do not let your feelings get to you and manipulate you. Feelings change like the wind. Believe God's Word and do not budge. Be immovable in what He has said, and trust in His Word. Trust in Lord Jesus who IS The Word.

When negative voices taunt you and say things that distract or feel painful, you must command them to be silent and counter them with positive thoughts and sentiments from God's Word and combat these dark things with light and truth.

2 Corinthians 10:5
casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

Your feelings will follow what you focus on. If you keep refocusing on Christ and His love for you, then you will be reminded of how incredibly important you are that God sent His Son Lord Jesus to die on a cross to save you, and just you if He had to.

Reading Matthew 27 everyday can help you connect with what Jesus done in that He chose to follow through with that because of His love for you. No one else would have done this for us. He could have easily defended Himself when accused by everyone before Pilate with lies, but He KEPT SILENT. Why?! Because He LOVES YOU! The innocent King took your place because He wants you healed and whole and filled with life and wants to give you good things not evil things.

Lord Jesus did not die on a cross to abandon you. He is strong and powerful and can save you from anything, including this.

Cling to Him. Cling to His love. Cling to His Word. He will do what no other person can do and save you from even yourself and your doubts when you are falling.

Matthew 14:31
And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Put your faith in Him even when the world feels like it is crashing in on you. Pray and talk to Him and call on Him.

PUSH -Pray Until Something Happens
(Luke 18:5-6)

And you can bet He will answer you if you do.

It is good to listen to good teaching, but not if it distracts us from personal time with our Bible and God Himself in prayer.

Put Christ first and put your trust in Him 100% and He will fix this.

I can rest assure you that Lord Jesus, who I know very well, will not condemn you.

The enemy will do that. Do not let him. Run to Lord Jesus. He cares and is there even if you do not feel it!

The main thing is we need to have the mind of Christ. We need to ALWAYS have a positive attitude. We are to be glad and rejoice because God is good.
