• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Does anyone listen to Ann Coulter anymore?

Doesn't mean you have to respond in kind does it? I mean, why sink to their supposed level?

I think responding in kind would mean that I would want to see her arrested, converted, or killed so that she could serve as an example of what we should do to conservatives. That would be responding in kind. But I don't feel that way (at all). I just want to show everyone how she distorts the facts to fit her agenda of hate.

I do wonder why she's so angry. I wonder what happened.

I would start with her bank account. It pays to be angry.

A lot of liberals, like John Kerry, Jim McDermott, Patty Murray, Sean Penn, David Bonior, et al are traitors. I give her credit for saying so. I don't recall Ann saying we should invade ALL muslim countries, but I could be wrong. Maybe you could support that claim of yours. By the way, that was one of my favorite remarks from ANn

I'm not sure she said all muslim countries either. It wasn't very clear.

But treason is an actual crime. Do you have evidence that the people you listed above are traitors? Why aren't these people being arrested? Are they committing their crimes is broad daylight?

I'd be careful brandishing the word traitor like that. It could also be said that if anyone here is a traitor to American ideals and the American way it would be conservatives(espically like Ann)

And since you are big into people supporting claims how about you give unbiased sources that clearly explains why the people listed in your post are traitors.

Just a thought..

Yes, we have video tape in particular of McDermott, Bonior and Penn on foreign (enemy) soil criticizing our government in the lead up to war. That is treason. the fact that these people are not in Leavenworth right now is evidence of a weakness in America. A weakness I would like to see us overcome. Oh my Gosh. In my old age, I must becoming senile. We talk of treason and I left out Hanoi Jane. Hanoi Jane should have been executed by firing squad. No ifs, ands, or buts.

You could say that, but we don't have videotape of them supporting our enemies on the enemy soil. If you have info of that nature, please post it.

You never saw the news clips to which I referred?

Criticizing our goverment is NOT treason. Where do you live? Because I live in AMERICA. Where you have the freedom to say whatever you want. And if you remember from history class our country started out on people criticizing the government that ruled them. The weakness in this country is that some people in this country can't stand to hear a view point different from their own. THAT is a weakness I would like to see this country overcome.

And your comment about Jane Fonda is nothing but tasteless. Not a very "Christian" attitude.

On [Fox News Channel's February 7th] Hannity and Colmes, Alan Colmes confronted Ann Coulter with the following statement she made at the Conservative Political Action Committee conference:"We need to execute people like John Walker in order to physically intimidate liberals, by making them realize that they can be killed too."
Coulter whined to Colmes, "I didn't know we were talking about this tonight, but now that you've sprungit on me..." but confirmed she made the comment and boasted it was a "huge hit with the audience."
Colmes: "You hate liberals. You despise liberals. This is unbelievable. We should execute them to make liberals scared?"
Coulter: "Right. Right!"

A lot of liberals, like John Kerry, Jim McDermott, Patty Murray, Sean Penn, David Bonior, et al are traitors. I give her credit for saying so.

But "she" didn't say "some" it seemed she said "anyone who is liberal" is who she hates.

Standing on enemy soil, criticizing your own government's plan to wage war is definitely treason. As I said, the fact that these people are still free is a sign of weakness in America

And your comment about Jane Fonda is nothing but tasteless. Not a very "Christian" attitude.
Tasteless is sitting in the char of an antiaircraft gun in North Vietnam during the war and pretending to shoot down American planes. Tasteless is going to the enemy and calling your countrymen war criminals. Tastless is broadcasting on the radio to encourage yuor countrymen to defect or desert. Nay, it is more than tasteless, it is treason

Care to site where it says this in any GOVERNMENT document that criticzing an action taken by the government is treason? The only weakness I see is the conservatives fear of people speaking their mind....tut tut tut...
You want to move the goal posts. I am talking about more than criticizing the government. I'm talking about critcism that gives aid and comfort to the enemy. do you deny that giving aid and comfort to the enemy is treason. In retrospect, I might grant that Patty "Osama Mama" Murray may have just been stupid, not nescessarily a traitor, but I reserve the right to include her at a later date after further examination.

It would seem obvious that I am disputing this "fact" as you call it.

How about you just repost the sites you give as evidence of this "treason"
OK, Sean Penn, Jim McDermott, and David Bonior all three visited Iraq during the lead up to the war and criticized the pending invasion. Tell me which of those do you dispute and I will offer you evidence.
