Malvina, the Christian parents of the children that were beheaded by the terrorist certainly had great faith. They watched their children beheaded and then they were murdered as well.I have no idea friend, all I know is if you take Jesus at His word to protect you - He will. I have a simple faith and I think that works best
So what am I seeing here? are you saying one I shouldn't presume God will protect me? - aren't you a spirit-filled Christian? We should never presume that God is always going to do things through us the same exact way He always has. Moses learned the hard way when he hit the rock twice (that's the way God took care of it before) instead of only once, as God had instructed him for the next time.
Friend, you do not know what went on between those people and their Lord. We see the outside only we do not see it allMalvina, the Christian parents of the children that were beheaded by the terrorist certainly had great faith. I have done things that some would think were just foolish, putting myself in danger, because I knew that was what the Lord was leading me to do, and everything turn out fine. But that doesn't mean He will lead me to do the same things with a different person or persons.
King David didn't walk up to Goliath unarmed. He slew Goliath saving many lives.
I have a duty to protect my family. So what am I seeing here? are you saying one I shouldn't presume God will protect me? What am I seeing here - aren't you a spirit-filled Christian?

Further, David chose 5 stones. David did not believe he would kill Goliath with one stone, in fact, David assumed he would die.Malvina, the Christian parents of the children that were beheaded by the terrorist certainly had great faith. I am talking about Christians who love the Lord Jesus ChristWhich 'lord'?
You presume there is only one.
I suggest to you the followers of Satan are many, those who follow the instruction of Yah are few.
Satan will eat his own.
What about David and Goliath? Goliath had armour and a sword. David had a predecessor of a gun and a bullet, it was the great equalizer.Friend, you do not know what went on between those people and their Lord. We see the outside only we do not see it all
I remember seeing Christians on the news suffering terrible hardship being driven for miles on the dusty roads and I thought at the time, 'What must those people be thinking now about their Lord - the terrible suffering they are going through? and we saw later. Those people were so lifted up in Love for Him they it seemed they was already out of this world.

Goliath had four brothers, also giants. Five stones, five brothers.Further, David chose 5 stones. David did not believe he would kill Goliath with one stone, in fact, David assumed he would die.
David was not promised success.
AmenTheres so much more to be worried about other then whether or not you can own a gun...
Have you exhausted the glory of the Gospel?
Have you exhausted the glory of imputed righteousness?
I'm saying you should not presume that God will work the exact say way with others as He does with you. HE broke Peter out of prison, but with Paul, his friends put him in a basket and lowered him out of the tower out of harms way. Another time Paul was bitten by a poisonous snake and just shook it off and went on his way, but that does not mean that it's ok to play with poisonous snakes. Of course we should all presume that God will protect us. However we should not presume that He will protect everyone in the SAME exact WAY that He's protected someone else. God may have me speak, in the way that you demonstrated with your would-be attacker. Another person He may have them use a weapon and HE gives them the strength and wisdom in using it.So what am I seeing here? are you saying one I shouldn't presume God will protect me? - aren't you a spirit-filled Christian?
No, there is no indication that the servant had attacked Peter. Jesus was the target of the arrest and Jesus had already laid out to the disciples what was supposed to happen that night. Peter was trying to prevent Jesus' arrest, NOT defend himself. In that context Peter was using the sword for self defence...
Ok thanks for your input I'm hoping this will all end now It's been interesting!I'm saying you should not presume that God will work the exact say way with others as He does with you.
