Heterosexual judges heterosexuals? My wife will kick me out if I judged her.

This is false. In the early 1900's there was no word for homosexual, so when the word was brought into the Bible, it meant exactly what it means today.

As for God's grace, we have a choice. God has extended grace, we must repent, believe, confess, obey and endure in order to be saved.

1.Repent- Matthew 3:1-3, 4:17; Acts 2:38, 3:19, 20:21, 17:30; 2 Chronicles 7:14
2. Believe- Mark 1:14-15, 16:16; Luke 8:12; John 1:12, 3:15-18, 36.
3. Confess- Matthew 10:32; Luke 12:8, Romans 10:9-10; 1 Timothy 6:13, Hebrews 4:14, 10:19-23; Romans 10:6-9
4. Obey- Matthew 7:24; John 14:15, 23; Luke 6:46; Hebrews 5:9; James 1:22, 2:18-24; Revelation 22:12
5.
Endure- Matthew 10:22, 13:21, 24:13, Mark 13:13, 2 Timothy 2:12; Revelation 2:7, 2:11, 3:5

This is plenty of Scripture to support the view, feel free to rightly divide the word of truth.

"Judging" people is when one attempts to step into Christ's shoes and determine where someone's eternal destiny lies. I don't think anyone in this thread is attempting to Judge any person in specific.

We are, however, pointing out what the Scriptures say about this topic and that is not "Judging" whatsoever. We are meant to use Scripture in this way. God gave us Scripture for a reason.

I am not sitting here saying "all homosexuals will go to hell", but I AM saying, "homosexuality is a sin, and no Christian should have unrepentant/habitual/pre-meditated sin in their lives." This would obviously include homosexuality along with any other sin.

Therefore, someone who calls themselves a Christian, but continues to engage in homosexuality thinking it is "OK" is only deceiving themselves when Scriptures very clearly says it isn't.

I'd imagine the difference is in the actions you take, rather than the sexuality you have.

You can be homosexual, but that does not necessarily mean you're going to engage in sexual activities with a member of the same sex (which is what the Bible speaks about).

As for whether anyone with such a sexuality goes to hell, God will decide. I do not think being homosexual is something that would condemn someone to hell, and I do lean towards thinking that if we take sexuality as sinful then there are plenty who sin continually due to their thoughts and desires, even if they've never acted on them.

Well, the Bible also mentions how men will "burn in lust for one another" and this is considered "vile" too, even if they didn't actually do it.

But then, heterosexual lust is also a sin too.

This is simply a false dichotomy some set up. The punishment for speeding is $165 and for excess is over $1000. Ask me the punishment for speeding? If I tell you it's $165, I'm not judging you, you've already been judged and the punishment is $165.

The law is the judge, and the law says not only homosexuals will go to hell, fornicators, adulterers, liars, and anyone who doesn't put their faith and trust in God. But it's not just those, as the gate is narrow. It's not a believe in God then assurance, it's those who die to themselves, obey and endure, those are promised salvation. Those who fear God. That isn't me judging you, it's me sharing what the Bible says because I don't want anyone to go to hell.

People who don't believe in God aren't worried about heaven or hell. The ones who are truly fearful are the hypocrites; the ones Jesus warned that there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

I have to check myself when I speak reproach and condemnation to sinners since I'm "here" only by His grace.

In 1 Kings 8:36, it says,

"then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of Your servants, Your people Israel, that You may teach them the good way in which they should walk" >

So, being forgiven is not by itself, but with forgiving comes God also teaching us the right way. So, there is correction > Hebrews 12:4-11 < by God Himself.

That's one of the reasons why I don't believe what the Bible says - too much hatred going on. God is not as petty as some of His followers would have us believe.

Edit: Sorry - it seems that I'm not allowed to post in this thread. My apologies.
Why aren't you allowed to post in this thread??

I'm not gay but I have a good friend that is. She is also a believer and I'm worried about her soul. I haven't said anything to her. I'm not sure what to say.

She may be worried about your soul too. Gay or straight we all fall short of the glory of God and we are all sinners. If she is a believers and accepts God's grace than she is saved. We are not under the law and it is our aim to love God and love our fellow man and do the best we can but we are judged by our desire to either accept him or not. She has accepted him. I believe gay people who accept Jesus goto Heaven just like anyone else.

It seems incredible to me that so many who name the Name of Christ so readily condemn people of homosexual behavior, yet almost never have anything to say about pornography, or unmarried sex, or adultery, or fornication, or divorce. If I browse through the entire forum on any given day, I'm certain to find scores of posts declaring how evil homosexuals are, and very, very few denouncing the other sins. No doubt, some will bristle at my inclusion of divorce in that list. Yet, Scripture no where says, "God hates homosexuality". But, it DOES say "God hates divorce". Is it just me that sees this as odd, and perhaps a bit hypocritical? And, how DOES God feel about all this chicanery?

By the works of the law shall NO MAN be justified. If the law is so predominant in your thoughts and theology that you ignore the weightier portions of the Scripture, (justice, kindness, and mercy), I'd suggest a good rereading of Romans, Galatians, and Hebrews.

The law is NOT the judge. Not a single person who submits themselves to the judgement of the law will be admitted into the Kingdom of God.

Hi Puppii,

If she's a believer because God is with her and has been revealing Christ, then there's nothing to worry about regardless of sin in the flesh. She is saved. God will work in her heart to choose righteousness, and of course your testimony can help.

If she's a believer who is seeking to find God - not yet born again - she is still NOT under condemnation and wrath. Pray for her to know the holy Jesus up close and personal, for her to be saved.

If she's a believer who doesn't sincerely love or need God, and has chosen religion to round out her gay lifestyle, then I'd be worried what can happen in believing God approves and encourages homosexuality.

There's a lot that can happen to a sinner's soul between now and judgment day, terrible things from which no man can deliver. Sometimes that's what it takes for us to seek God with a true heart.
