CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes, I remember those. And I loved the taste of the licorice pipes with the red candy beads on the top.
Didn't like the taste of those white candy cigarettes though. Sort of looked like and tasted like chalk only sweeter.

The things I am afraid I'll forget I write down. Just can't recall where I put the notebook
We used to spend quite a bit of time playing Monopoly and working Jigsaw puzzles. As a matter of fact I got quite good at jigsaw puzzles. The last one I worked said 3 years and up and I worked it in only 3 weeks

Yes, first we said..."cool" if we liked something...Then we said..."neat" to mean the same thing. Later we said.."hot" if it was cool or neat, and we also said "excellent" for a time (at least my kids did)...then "awesome" which still remains part of the lingo...and back to "cool." again.

DYRW.... Gay meant happy, as in we had a gay [happy] ole time! or the "gay '90's".
