- well, you see, it wasn't very long ago at all that I began to relinquish my crush on another girl who recently left our community, Jennie Amber, so I think I need a bit of time lest I personally assess myself to be the heartless player type of guy. But ... honestly, for what it is worth, I do like you and think just as highly of you as I do the other girls around my age here, like Tracie and Lioness. ... So, if you don't mind waiting on the aspiring knight of the old school just a little while, perhaaaps ....Honestly, until I came here back in July I had never felt so popular with the ladies in all of my life.

I would have to think twice about pursuing it. I have doubts about internet relationships.

Smart. I imagine it is actually much more dangerous for ladies than for men. You never really know to whom you are talking. The govt actually states that, at any given time, there could be as few as 50, or as many as 300, active serial killers in the US.

Assuming a CF crush is anything like a normal crush, it would depend on how strong the crush was, and what I thought the chance of reciprocation was. I'm not the kind to "act" unless I at least strongly suspect my feelings are returned.

Another thing with that, as well is, is that you also have to be really careful on an online social networking site about not leading people on. If you have really strong feelings for this one person, and this other person has also caught your eyes, but yet you're still waiting to see what this third person says to a comment then it's much better to just take a step back, mentally, to really evaluate the validity of your feelings, whether or not the emotions stem from compliments or if you really respect and admire their view on certain topics.

Being able to determine whether you would like someone/have chemistry with them in real life, based on online interactions would be difficult, imo.
That's not to say I wouldn't consider it to be an option, and I even tried the online dating thing once. I think I'd be open to trying it again.

One would definitely have to be 100% sure the other person is who they say they are. There's a level of trust that must be earned.
Online dating/long distance relationship would not be my ideal, but if God places someone in my life, I'm not gonna be like: "No, God, she's online. Bring me someone else..." You know what I mean?...
And, I know a few different people from around the web who met online and got married. So it can work out.

I think it's awesome to have feelings for someone, and to be noticed by really awesome people, but I would much rather get to know the person as friends (at the risk of friendzoning) to learn as much about them as possible before coming to a conclusion of whether or not you are compatible, and whether or not it would be right to pursue a relationship with the person.
My parents met online. And it took only eight months for them to get married after they initially met. They met after knowing each other for a few months. So I'm not too hesitant to find my mate online.
