get skype. if you both have it then service is free, and all you need is a microphone headset/speakers

but if you're looking for mobility PC Mobile has a great plan - its 45 cents/minute on its own to call into the states and if you get a calling card (which can be from 5-25 bucks) its 4 cents/minute.

I've heard a lot of good things about that service. I almost downloaded it last year to check it out. I have the download page loaded in a tab right now. Down side is I'm on good 'ol dial-down (stretching money atm) but I think it still works with that. I used to talk to one of my sisters some years ago over I think some MS service. She wouldn't put on headphones though, caused that delay feedback

I second this. I don't like to talk on the phone, so all my previous relationships have had a majority of the interaction take place in-person or through instant messaging.

For some reason, when I use a phone for personal reasons (as opposed to using the phone for business), I start st-st-st-stuttering and I can't keep my train of thought.

Another phone-hater here. Unless the guy is a master of conversation, which is pretty much...non-existent lol. Seriously, it's very hard to find someone who can 1) Start a good convo and 2) Maintain a good convo.

I love talking on the phone. I actually multi-task very well when I'm on the phone for social reasons. My friend and I call each other when we need to clean b/c we talk and clean at the same time.
