That is the best case scenario. Jesus has given us the ability through the power of the Spirit to no longer sin. But we still have free will. Romans 6 shows us we are dead to sin, but it also speaks of our ability to go ahead and become a slave to sin all over again. And the result of that is the wages of sin is death.
So, you are waiting for the final judgement to find out if you will be saved? (or not) ???

You can have assurance now, just don't sin.

In the TCs? It IS the TC!
Just to be clear, "TCs" stands for Ten Commandments.
Which of the TCs says "a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive"?

1 John 3:21-23
We sin every day. Even without realizing it. Without the atonement we are utterly lost.

Romans 14:23
But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.

I disagree with your statement.
This fallacy is what generated the phrase "forgiveness of past, present and future sins," even though we have been cleansed of only our PAST sins of lawlessness.
The law of sin and death no longer applies.

Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

Under the law let's say you committed adultery, you were caught and stoned to death. That is the law of sin and death in practice, there was no forgiveness under that law, sin meant death.

Under grace we are not under that same law, i.e., sin and you die. We are forgiven in Christ of every possible sin we could commit, simply because grace means that the rule of sin equals death no longer applies.

Then Jesus hasn't taken away your sin? You are going to believe false teachers instead of Scripture?

You said you sin everyday. Didn't I read you right? So Jesus hasn't made you dead to sin? You have to reckon yourself dead to sin also. You don't.

Good night, Steven.

No, I said: "We sin every day. Even without realizing it. Without the atonement we are utterly lost."

We includes you. (and everyone else) Yes, we are dead to sin, yet...
even the Apostle said he was "a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me."

Romans 7:23
but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me.

So you can't see the reflection of fallen humanity in your own post?
I would like to tell you what I see, but it would be a violation of forum policy.

Let's face it, we are all a work in progress.

1 Corinthians 13:12
For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

The law is the law.
If the Bible says "the law", you can't claim that is limited to the TCs. Period.

And your point now is? This is old news.

I don't know what you see in my post but a question of are you living scripture or just debating scripture. I'm trying to help you break out of this dark heritage of false teaching you've swallowed. But before you sin against me, with more false projections maybe you should cool down and study to see if your teachers are telling you the truth or not. They're not.

Not old news to you.
Since you are claiming that Romans chapter seven is limited to the TCs, when it clearly says "the law". The TCs are a subset of the law.

Romans 7 happens to be pointed at the 10C, but I agree we are not under the Mosaic law which includes the 10c and ordinances. I've already said that. I differentiate for the sake of SDA's who believe it is only the ceremonial laws we are no longer under.
