2 Corinthians 5:
6 Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know
Him in this way no longer. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 18 Now all
these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who knew no sin
to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is
born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
John 3:7
Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be
born again.’
1 Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be
born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
Romans 5:
9 For as through the one man’s disobedience
the many were made sinners,
(inherited a fallen nature) even so through the obedience of the One the many
will be made righteous. 20 The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, 21 so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
What do you think being born again means? I hope it is not when our bodies will be changed in the twinkling of light after we are dead and Jesus comes for us.
It is from our carnal nature from Adam that man sins. In order to not sin, something must be done to the source of the problem, the carnal nature. It is born again and are no longer in the carnal nature but in the Spirit, if one has the Spirit of God, and if they don't have the Spirit of Christ they don't belong to him.
The law keeper without Christ, or I should say before Christ, when they were trying to do what they knew to do, but their flesh was craving the opposite could never please God
Romans 8.6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able
to do so, 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
The very next verse is in contrast to the old nature. Romans 8:9
So knowing the the carnal nature cannot please God, Jesus comes and makes the nature brand new through the Spirit. Born again.
