Here in Southern California . . . We can set our Automobile Radios to pick up the movie sound and depending on your equalizer . . . the thrill is on . . .

last year for my birthday, we went to the lake then we went to the drive in we all sat in our tubes in the back of the truck. It was awsome I loved it, we pirates 2 and Cars

There's one in Concord, CA that is still open. My family goes a lot during the summer.

There's one near us in central Virginia, which seems to do well.

Our local drive-in is called Silvermoon Drive-in and it's great. Vintage ads and they give $2 bills as change

The last drive in movie I saw was Return of the Jedi back in the 1980s. It was the last theater that had not become a inappropriate contento screen.

There is one local place, and another around 30 miles out of the city. The local one is in a bit rough area of town though...I wouldn't go walking about outside the grounds. I forget the last movie I saw there, but it was probably around 7-8 years ago.

There's still one in Gatesville, Texas.

The good news is that all showings are double-features, a new movie and an older film (often one from the previous year).

The bad news is that it's only open during the summer, due to the kind of weather conditions in the area the rest of the year.
