What part of "Yes, yes they do" was such a challenge?

You should know there are more than two black people. Like way, way more. I could use the same kind of anecdotal evidence to show most black people are astrophysicists.

So how many "black" people saying as such would suffice? The facts are the facts. Yes "black" people vote Democrat to get free stuff. People come to this country illegally to get free stuff as well thanks to Democrats/

More than two. I guarantee you I can find two videos of white people saying and doing practically anything, but that wouldn't prove anything about white people in general. That's why throughout this thread I've used statistical evidence to back up my claims, not anecdotal evidence.

Do Blacks Vote Democrat to Get "Free Stuff"?

Speaking of "Free Stuff," many of America's largest corporations making $millions and $billion in profits in 2014 didn't pay any tax!
Interesting that CBS would be on the list

This thread is racist at it's core.
The thread itself isn't racist - it highlights the racism harbored by several people on the forum.

If you want to do a fun experiment, list the names of everyone in this thread that believe black people vote for Democrats to receive free stuff and then look into their political affiliation. You'll find that they're exclusively conservative and predominantly Republican or Constitution party.

I'll start the list for you. I skimmed the first 2 pages and grabbed your first 3 names.

I disagree.

Starting with the thread title, it looks like race bating. Instead of the title, (and conversation), being along the lines of "Do people in general vote Democrat for the 'free stuff'?", it zeros in on a specific race. So, right there, it's looking for a reaction based on race. It is divisive. It is desperately seeking racists and bigots, while being racist, bigoted and divisive for even framing the discussion this way in the first place.

You know, I didn't invent the idea that blacks vote Democrat to get free stuff; I just refuted it. Do you really think it's racist for me to say "Some people think this racist stereotype is true, and here's why they're wrong"? How are non-racists ever going to talk about racism then? Should we just concede the argument to the racists?

I admit that this thread is divisive—but I don't mind division as much as a lot of people. I think it's necessary for progress. One of my favorite quotes from Martin Luther King is this: "I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to 'order' than to justice—who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice."

Let's look at this from another angle. A great number of the things the black community supports as listed by the OP are guve aways and promises by the government. Mostly by Democrats who have been pushing and supporting these Ideas for 40 years. And yet despite these promises and solutions and control the black community is no better off than they have been. So what do the democrats promise? More stuff. More government give a ways in one form or another whether it be in dollars or favors. Why on earth would you continue to vote for more of the same failing policies? More Welfare, More TANF, More Medicare, More Medicaid, More government programs are things that the democrats continually promise. And their promises always leave the black community in the same state. Every single struggling black community is run by democrats and have been run by democrats forever. You've been sold out. You've been fed a crap sandwich and yet year after year you want the same crap sandwhich. It makes no sense. Its time the black community wakes up. Conservatism IS the answer. Moderate republicans are NOT the answer because they stand for status quo. Conservatives don't believe in status quo. We believe in getting people off of government dependence to self dependence. We believe in self examination. What can I do to change my circumstances? The black community will never succeed if they are unwilling to do the VERY difficult work of coming together and fighting against the real things that are holding them back. Why is there such a high jobless rate among the black community? Why aren't the democrats providing more jobs like they've been promising for years? And how is it the republicans fault that there aren't more jobs when the cities are run by democrats?

I want so badly for the black community to get out of its current state. But it never will as long as they continue to follow the same old failed ideas. Its time to shake things up and go conservative. We conservatives believe in working hand in hand with you to change things. We don't believe in doing it for you.

How's your Presidential run going?
Pretty well. I'm hated by both whites and blacks now!
That was a joke.

How do you feel about how your fellow Republicans in this thread talk about you? I'd feel pretty upset if I were you.
Well I'm not like most black people so I'm not offended. And I agree with most with what was said. Black people need a revelation.

Welp, that's the last time I try to convince people of things using facts. If racists could be persuaded by rational argument, there wouldn't be any racists.
Yes, we come to that conclusion time and time again, frustrated with trying to use logic and rationality with the facts to back that up. How many times have I said to myself that I'm done with the yahoos here, they aren't worth my time. Yet I come back, time and time again. Iron sharpens iron I've read and experienced. There are those here who try to dull the edge, then there are those here who act as craftsmen, helping to cut through much of the rubble that exists here.

Is it logical or rational to keep doing the same things over and over again but expecting different results? I thought that was the definition of insanity. If you would really take a hard look at conservative ideas you would find we have FAR MORE to offer than your progressive friends. We actually have solutions to get the black community OUT of its current state.

For example we want the community to have better schools which come from school choice.

We want the illegal immigration stopped which takes away jobs from the black community.

We would like to cut down on crime which would encourage businesses to move into the black communities without fear of robberies and burglaries.

The democrats promise opportunity but haven't delivered. We've had a war on poverty for nearly 50 years yet there is still poverty. The democrats run these poverty stricken areas. What do they promise? More of the same.

We offer different strategies. Why not try them out. In fact we have far, more in common than you realize.

The progressive democrats have been lying to you for a very long time.

Oh I know full well what the conservative movement is all about. I was there at the very first Tea Party rallies here in Texas. I was at one time the conservatives conservative. (Just ask any of the old posters from the Crosswalk days.) I know what was offered and it ended up not filling the bill. But I will agree that there are many issues that the populist conservatives have in common with left wing politics. That's what the Tea Party started out as, populist action against the Bush bank bailouts. Then after the 2008 election the racism came out with the pictures of Obama with bones in his nose and all that. I took off with that.

So, more of the same? No, the fact of the matter is I am seeing changes in my country, positive progressive changes, changes that can and will come about with truly independent political action (see my signature), which is why I support Sanders for president rather than Clinton, and why I am energized by the fact that Sanders' policies are in line with what the majority of voters want.

My post entry you quoted up there has only to do with the frustration of posting on this site. It is in no way saying I'm frustrated with my politics.

That is how I did it. Six years of working Full time and school full time. When I was done I had a 3.95 and about 3,000 in debt.

Go figure.

That's about $8600 in today's dollars, and as you pointed out, tuition's gone up twice as fast as wages. So that'd be about $17,000 today.

Hogwash, I have children in college. They are doing the same. There's very little partying and weekends are long shifts, but they are doing it.

My middle daughter works full time nights at QuickTrip. She attends classes in the day, works overnights and sleeps mornings.

She is making 40k a year, has tuition reimbursement and to use her words. "No social life whatsoever". But when she graduates in 18 months she will be debt free with a job that should be paying 50k a year.

I really have to wonder what kind of vigorous academic program allows for that level of external commitment. My schools weren't exactly top-tier, but not when I was studying engineering, nor when I was studying music would I ever have had enough time to finish my projects with that kind of schedule.

I don't doubt that there are people and programs out there where this happens. I just don't think it's either the norm or even feasible in a lot of places. Heck, even a lot of graduate programs don't allow (or make it difficult for) you to work while studying. I was recently looking at a dual MBA/MA program from a pair of schools near me and their part-time course load was 3 courses. :sigh:

Oh well no wonder you are defending the failed policies you believe in them. In fact you like the failures so much you want more and then want to complain about the plight of the black community while believing in the policies that keep them in that state. Interesting. This country is falling apart and it's your fault. I don't know what all these positive things you think are happening but I can't think of any. If you supportSanders then your a thief and your whole argument that blacks don't vote to get free stuff goes right out the window because that's exactly what socialism is. Getting free stuff. Sorry but your whole argument has fallen down around your ears. You do just want free stuff.
