You bring up a good point. God directed Noah to save all the animals, but what about the plants? They would have been wiped out.
The "World" was the spread of man. Geography is not an issue.
Plants were not on the Ark or sea creatures.
The purpose was to cleans the earth of evil men, not make sure
the whole globe got wet.
"The world" that perished was the human empire. God did not
need to dip the globe in water.
It wouldn't matter.God did not hand pick animals intended to eat each other on the trip.
Correct. You bring up a good point. God directed Noah to save all the animals, but what about the plants? They would have been wiped out.
That would be biblically incorrect. The language of the Bible clearly tells us the flood was global.
Considering water seeks it own level....how were the mountains of an area covered and the flood held to a local area?

18,000 new "species" are found every year. "Species" is a modern scientific term.
The Ark only need the basic animals God had planned for the Ark to survive.
They had all the needed characteristics to re-populate the earth.
Got brought the animals to Noah.
God did not forget about even one leaf. He's pretty smart.
Geography was not the issue of the flood. The issue was the evil of mankind.
The story has NOTHING to do with geography.
For the most part they were....they all sank in the flood, were buried and became our fossil fuels.
Some of the vegetation survived on floating vegetation mats..and re-rooted post flood.
now, I've been here before...you'll try to show there was no floating veggie mats...then I'll post pictures of floating veggie mats.......then you'll ask another question.
They aren't taught to think about the miraculous, except to deny it.Some of the christians here disqualify the physical possibility of feeding the animals...what will they think about the miraculous.
So, you are saying that evolution took over after the flood?
They aren't taught to think about the miraculous, except to deny it.
Correct.
Every plant on the face of the earth was destroyed.
Sir Robert Anderson:
Faith is not the normal attitude of the human mind towards things Divine. The earnest doubter, therefore, is entitled to respect and sympathy. But what judgment shall be meted out to those who delight to proclaim themselves doubters, while claiming to be ministers of a religion of which FAITH is the essential characteristic?
Until a few years ago I was against YEC and a global flood, and I was quite vocal about it. But I kept reading these texts in my yearly Bible schedule, and they say what they say. I resolved to take God at his word, and it blessed my soul. When you read the Bible, God is saying to you, "this happened".
Speciation took place after the flood.
Nothing more than a re-arrangement of already established DNA.
I know about floating veg mats. But they are not mentioned in the Bible. You are assuming facts not in evidence.
You're reply makes no sense....let me ask the question again.....the Bible tells us the tall mountains were covered with water....HOW, can this happen in a local flood especially when we understand water seeks its own level?
Why would floating veggie mats have to be mentioned I the Bible? We know under similar conditions the mats can form and exist.
Then again I suppose Noah had to jump between each of the arks levels because the Bible doesn't mention stairs, ramps or ladders.
That sounds an awfully close to evolution.
