It was not a "vast majority of voting Americans".
  • Donald Trump: 77,303,573 votes (49.9%)
  • Kamala Harris: 75,019,257 votes (48.4%)
It's not just about the popular vote, it's also about the down-ballot vote, senators and congressmen, which makes it a "vast majority."

That is not what Truth7t7 said. And I do not think that "done-ballot vote" necessarily makes anything a "vast majority".

Trump won the electoral vote which includes all of the 7 swing states, AND the popular vote, plus got control of the Senate, and retained control of the House. Seems that the voters have made themselves clear as to whether they wanted Trump's policies, or Harris/biden's policies. Call it a "vast majority", or call it a "landslide". Whatever. Trump won, and he won decisively.

Yes, Trump was elected by a majority of voters.

Currently, he is doing the right things that we elected him for.

However, I have to question, did we elect a tyrant in the making?

Only time will tell, but in two years or sooner, we could see a different man we elected and
we may not like it.

We can only watch and pray that God is going to guide our government according to His will

Personally I hope President Trump permanently crushes the political Left/DNC and they never again come near the levers of power. The widespread purges, firings, resignations throughout the federal bureaucracy are a great start.

I don't really care what supposed "norms" he has to violate to get that job done, because nobody was following those to begin with.

I like your post but to be a bit picky, Trump was not elected by a majority of the voters. More people voted against him than for him. Still, he was elected fairly.

Not in the two-way race:

Donald Trump: 77,303,573 votes (49.9%) -- for
Kamala Harris: 75,019,257 votes (48.4%) -- against
(Other: 2,579, 271 votes (1.7%) - against)

We saw him as president from 2016 to 2020, and he wasn't exactly a tyrant then. Past behavior is the best indicator of future behavior.
True as a generalization but there is a huge difference - this time, he cannot run again and therefore does not to "care" about the voter. I fear this means he will do whatever he wants with horrible consequences for millions in the US and around the world.

Currently, Trump is doing what we elected him for and what the left hates.
I have always suspected that many Trump voters are primarily interested in "sticking it to the Libs" and that the interests of the country and the world are a secondary concern.

We are already seeing what has been obvious to the rest of us - Trump is indeed a tyrant. As others have pointed out, who else but a tyrant would seek to overturn a fair election with no justification whatever?

That Americans thought Sadam had stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction which he did not?
Americans thought Sadam had stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction, but in reality he did not.

And the Defense Intelligence Agency had leaked before the war that he did not.

It wasn't a two way race. As your post points out, Trump got less than half of the votes
