Watch and pray. We dodged a bullet by not electing Kamala and sending Joe home. There will be more bullets, I suppose, to dodge.
... and such an important point to remember.

For some of us like me, it feels very 'comfortable' and 'safe' now that President Trump and his team are in charge ... but some of us also know that 'life can flip on a dime'. (And so can the fate of a nation.)

I sleep better at night knowing that Trump is at the helm AND that thousands continue to pray for him, and his family, daily. Enveloped in prayer, I'm not fearing that President Trump has returned a tyrant.

Really? So they wanted to vote for a liar? All this is just too much. I
Sure. You didn't notice all the "Trumpsplaining" going on, even in these forums?

"He didn't mean it that way."

"He was obviously just joking."

"He's a negotiator, that's not what he really wants, he's going to bargain."

Yes, Trump was elected by a majority of voters.

Currently, he is doing the right things that we elected him for.

However, I have to question, did we elect a tyrant in the making?

Only time will tell, but in two years or sooner, we could see a different man we elected and
we may not like it.

We can only watch and pray that God is going to guide our government according to His will
He would be a tyrant i would would give a lifetime term. No question.

Everyone around here knows that I am a huge, big-time supporter of President Donald Trump. However, I am NOT in favor of any POTUS to become an actual and real tyrannical dictator. That being said, I strongly disagree with any adjectives and assertions calling President Donald Trump a "tyrant."

Of course he is not a tyrant. But given the last few days, I would at least support another term.

He is a straightforward leader the whole world knows what's on his mind. I think his speech is too aggressive but it doesn't make him a Tyrant. With his speech, many countries are listening.
I agree that he doesn't seem to be very subtle. When his pardons included those that were convicted of violence against law enforcement, he sent a clear message that people will not be held accountable for violence they commit in their attempts to support him.

Is there an official number anywhere? A statistic by a decent polling organisation? If anyone can help with something specific, thank you very much.
I've been hearing that ever since Nov 5th. They're deeply regretting their decision. They're miserable and afraid, wishing so much that they could turn back the clock and vote for Kamala instead.

I like his form of tyranny and his tyrannical Executive Orders, including this most recent one to ban chemical castration and medical mutilation of innocent kids. That's gonna disappoint a lot of his leftists opponents.

I would support another term, brother. However, the POTUS term limits are an amendment in the Constitution. Also, Trump is going to be 82 years old four years from now. When January 2028 rolls around, I am looking forward to seeing who the choices shall be in order to continue on with the MAGA America first agenda.

It's funny ... in a sad kind of way. Here in America we've become so accustomed to politicians doing very little, if anything, to make things better. We've come to expect so little from our elected officials. (We put up with a feeble, cognitively declined, elderly man as president for 4 years!) So now, we have someone who is actually doing what he said he would do. And not wasting any time doing it! And what happens? The accusations start flying, that he is a tyrant ... for his actually running the government like a leader! (lol ... go figure!)

I tell you this. If America finds itself anytime soon in a WWIII? Donald Trump is the man I want in the White House.

I was quite concerned we would get a war in the waining days of Biden’s presidency. I’m relieved now. Not that things are perfect.

That should be easy to decide. . .or send it to the Supreme Court.

That very Constitution contains safeguards against dismantling it.

Did you study civics?
Not in the USA, no.

I can abide a different political and economic theory than my own. I can abide decisions based on those theories though I might think them wrong. I can even abide a conceited, bombastic personality that I find obnoxious. But I cannot abide dehumanizing language and actions targeting anyone.

I find that Trump was distinctive in his dehumanization of immigrants and refugees, far surpassing all other candidates.

It can be determined that Donald Trump is dehumanizing immigrants with his rhetoric and plans for action.
Perfect post.

I couldn’t agree more. Calling people made in the image of God ‘vermin’, and claiming immigrants are ‘poisoning the blood of our country’ should make us very uncomfortable. Such language is designed to desensitize and make it easier to treat the ‘other’ as less than human.

I get it that people are tired of the immigration system dysfunction, the DEI and gender identity ambiguities and especially abortion. So we had a choice between Godzilla and King Kong. Neither should ever get a free pass to make such statements, defended or cheered. That is the scary part, when people actually cheer and affirm dehumanization.

When you are done virtue signaling, include all the name-calling we do to each other this might make me think you are balanced. I see too much selective memory in politics here on this forum and if you were to list some of the things the left called the right, I wouldn't think you a tribal loon. I never understood how a party attacks another for something they do themselves—hypocrisy or double minded from scripture.

Even this "party" identity is a bit dehumanizing. I am not Left or Right.
I am am an independent human being trying to live in solidarity with an appreciation of a complex world.

I was merely agreeing with the post, but I fully acknowledge that you have a very good point. It is super easy to find dehumanizing language on the left that is completely unacceptable. Off the top of my head:

Biden calling Tump “garbage.”

Hillary Clinton sayingnTrump supporters are a “basket of deplorables.”

The list goes on and on.
