I have always suspected that many Trump voters are primarily interested in "sticking it to the Libs" and that the interests of the country and the world are a secondary concern.

We are already seeing what has been obvious to the rest of us - Trump is indeed a tyrant. As others have pointed out, who else but a tyrant would seek to overturn a fair election with no justification whatever?
No, Trump currently isn't a tyrant. The American voters also voted for him because they were sick of seeing what
took place the past four years with WOKE ideology leading the way.

If they didn't want Trump they could've just wrote in a name, as I did for the past three election cycles.

Technically no you can't elect a tyrant. By definition at tyrant is one who seizes power by unconstitutional means. God Bless All :)
Not impossible if the Tyrant decides to ignore the Constitution and dissolve the US Congress and Supreme Court.

Would people fight against it? They might not, as the Germans didn't fight against the Nazis either.

They'll be happy to have a job and try to just support their families. In other words, they'll go along to get along.

Yes, Trump was elected by a majority of voters.

Currently, he is doing the right things that we elected him for.

However, I have to question, did we elect a tyrant in the making?

Only time will tell, but in two years or sooner, we could see a different man we elected and
we may not like it.

We can only watch and pray that God is going to guide our government according to His will
He did have a serious case of diarrhea of the mouth after the inaugural address. I mean I couldn't watch anymore, and I was rooting for him to win. It started to sound too much like na nana nanana. It's like how old are you? Isn't it enough that you won by a landslide? That speaks louder than words. Don't spoil it by acting foolish.

No one likes to have their loss rubbed in their faces. It's embarrassing enough. But God is going to carry out justice no matter what and He does not expect us to rub it in others faces, but intercede for them.

Mercy will be shown to those who show mercy, but this merciless approach has been going on in politics for some time so they are reaping what they sow.

Politics has turned into a cesspool, and it really stinks.

I love the book of Obadiah. So much wisdom in the shortest chapter in the old testament, but you never hear anyone speak of it.

But anyway, I myself had some doubts after watching his rant, but apart from the grace of God, I could see myself doing worse. They went after him and his family so hard and relentless, and one of my big love languages is loyalty. I probably would have given them the finger for extra measure, and mooned them.

Although, I know he took his shots at them too. No wonder Biden pardoned.

Cesspool, but instead of becoming bitter we need to pray, pray, pray, and also take action if we feel so led, just need to make sure we are operating in God's love rather than the fruits of the flesh.

The man who was elected by God refuses to put his hand on the Bible when sworn in.

As usual, a load of manure.

At that point then I guess he would become a Tyrant.

I'm not sure. I remember reading a Library Book years ago 'The German Resistance to Hitler', about the opposition and many assassination attempts happening from almost as soon as Hitler came to power.

Many perhaps would. I hope it doesn't reach that point.

God Bless You :)

Biden got what he deserved!

He's been reversing Trump's policies since he became president, and in the last few weeks of his presidency
Biden signed EO's in order to stop Trump from governing and he even gave out pardons like they were
candy.

The Germans did not have the Constitution, you do.

The book I read, "Nazi terror : the Gestapo, Jews and ordinary Germans, by Eric Johnson, tells a different story.

Johnson, a professor at U Michigan, decided to study the issue of the ordinary Germans during the Nazi regime
and thought he'd spend two years in Germany on it. Instead, he spent 10 years and learned from the three cities
he studied, that the German people were very much involved in the Nazi policies and terror that they spread
throughout the world. In fact, he said in those cities, the Gestapo force was smaller than the population of civilians
which they had to manage. Instead, the German people helped by turning in people whom they had petty gripes
against. Those people were reported and were ordered to report to the police for questioning. Of course, those
who were Jewish had their names and addresses recorded, of which they were later arrested and sent to concentration
camps.

The Constitution won't stop a tyrant from taking over if the people support him.
My point was the German people did not have the fondness of The Constitution that the American people do. They were not used to being free.

Your post reads like a contradiction in terms. How is he a tyrant if the people like him?

The Nazi's hung, shot or imprisoned everyone who resisted them. People did do it, but it was a capital offense.

The President cannot dissolve the Congress and Supreme Court.

Did you study civics?

Americans are much different than Germans. . .see the War for Independence from England.

I spit out my drink laughing so hard at this!
Oh ye of little faith. Never know when that bright morning Son will blind us, then give us new vision.

I have never met a man I could despair of, or lose all hope for, after discerning what lies in me apart from the grace of God. -Oswald Chambers

Been down that road too many times, and still can find myself heading that way, with fear and trembling.

I don't know how your post ended up quoting me saying that, it was JimR-OCDS who said The Constitution won't stop a tyrant from taking over if the people support him. In #112 I called that a contradiction in terms.

I said for now he's doing well. But I question what's to come. I hope I'm wrong
and Trump turns out to be a great president. I feel he could be, but I've been
wrong before.
