Did Paul consider himself a "sinner", are we supposed to think of ourselves as sinners...?

Christians don't commit willful sin? So you have never become upset with someone because of what they did only to later learn that they were in the right and you were wrong? That is willful on your part.

Can you honestly say that you really love you neighbor as yourself? Really?

Did you do everything you could have possibly done to help the recent hurricane victims. Everything? Really?

Now, I have never said that Christians should go right on sinning. Of course we should not. But despite our best efforts we are going to fall short and sin.

Perhaps this article would be of help: Does the Bible Say True Christians Never Sin? | Desiring God

You can try to judge me if you like. You don't know me at all, so I find it kind of funny you are asking me questions you should be asking yourself.

The point is that I didn’t have false motives.

You just cannot take that you sinned against me.

You just must believe I had false motives to accept your theology. You have a horse in that race. I don’t.

I admit I sin. Although I didn’t do what you accuse me of, I’ve done other things.

So you need to accept your error. Not accuse me anymore

You were not asking out of humility to learn. You were asking for me to prove myself to you. The only one who can judge me is God.

I’m not judging you or anyone else in this thread. Please show me exactly where I said I was doing that. You were the one who said that Christians—I presume that as a Christin that includes you—do not commit willful sin. If that is so then those should be easy questions.

BTW how do you know that I have not already asked mysel those questions?

all sin is against God! David said "against you and you only have I sinned!"

Correct.
All sin is against God, and only God can forgive sin.
And when God forgives all of your sin;
You become converted and reconciled unto Him.
He makes your body of sin sanctified and Dead, crucified with Christ.
He restores your soul.
He brings into (quickens) spiritual life in your spirit.
He gives you the fullness of faith.
His Spirit dwells within you.
Thus you are whole;
And can sin no more.

Christ is the judge of the Quick and the Dead.
Be thee with God, you are of the Quick.
Be thee against God, you are of the Dead.

2 Tim 4
  1. [1] I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Thes 5

  1. [23] And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Matt 9

[22] ...be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.

God Bless,

The Greek is present tense but do understand... there is a difference between chata'ah (Hebrew for sin, missing the mark but more unintentional or unknown) then pesha (rebellion, willful sin). Paul was saying he was the chief of pesha... he was using chata'ah, no other word fits there.

You have glossed over my main point. You (we) have not been perfected, we have not been made incorruptible (yet). By definition we are corruptible and imperfect.

You said...

Paul was saying he was the chief of pesha... he was using chata'ah, no other word fits there.

Did you mean to say?

Paul was saying he was not the chief of pesha... he was using chata'ah, no other word fits there.

We all need to ask ourselves, not each other.
But you are the one saying that you do not willfully sin. I’m simply asking you to prove it. Remember I freely admit that I am a sinner despite my efforts to go and sin no more. Fortunately My sins are washed clean in the Blood of the Lamb.

In my mind if you say your not a sinner or do not ever sin, then your a hypocrite...

But we can't and won't let that be a reason to be all defeated and give into sin, we still are to strive for the mark, sometimes it does not matter that we never fully achieve our goal, the effort, or journey in resisting sin and doing away with as much sin as possible, "yields it's own rewards", the kind of rewards God wants you to have... The good news is those rewards, come "along with" your fight/struggle with sin, not only at the end of it, but throughout the path and journey along the way, you get benefits that no riches can buy you...

No one will tell anyone that they can sin and it's OK, but we must be very careful in/with judging, and speak the truth in love, and meekly and mildly when we are trying to help someone with sin... And pick and choose your battles... Do not rush into correcting, or to hastily judging or criticizing, and especially not condemning, anyone...

God Bless!

I was asking what the perfect things that God was doing in your life because you must devote all your time and money to others.

If that is your proving yourself to me, I don’t need you to prove anything. I just wanted to see what such a Godly life of perfection is and. A Christian walls perfectly line Jesus did.

It must be so full of Godliness. I was curious what it looks like.

Your defensive about it.

To walk without any anger, or selfishness in perfect harmony with God. Jesus prayed every day for hours. Secluded from everything just Him and the Father. Never seen it before so curiosity got the best of me.

How can I show you my heart? How can I show you my conscience? Those are things only God can see and judge.

And if I told you wouldn't that be bragging and a sin? We are not to let our right hand know what the left hand is doing. I can do nothing of myself, but the Holy Spirit in me certainly can.

You can when you get to a point where your "at peace", and peace is a part of who you are...

You can truthfully answer the questions I asked. Perhaps that would give me a indication of your heart.

Well then. Let it go.

I can ask a different perfect person. Wouldn’t want to lift up the saints and show us what to shoot for. Keep it to yourself.

You be blessed. Oh never mind, your perfect you don’t need anything from God.

And when you found another who does not willfully sin, are you going to mock them also?

But it isn’t possible to find a person who doesn’t willfully sin. Despite our best efforts we all do.

If you are using your own best efforts, you are right. The Jews under the law did that, but they still had no power to not sin. That struggle is what Paul was expounding on in Romans 7. But at the end of the chapter he asked, Who can save me from this body of death? And the answer was Jesus. Then He gives us the Holy Spirit to put this flesh, our carnal nature, to death. We are dead to sin. Only those who say they have fellowship with God, but still walk in darkness - sin, do not do the truth. And who is truth? The Spirit is truth. "And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth." And how do we receive the Spirit? REPENT from all sin. Acts 2:38

There really is no sense in continuing this discussion because we all sin and come short of the glory of God. That includes you. If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

A couples posts back you made a false accusation that I was judging you, when I never said any such thing. If that isn’t sin what do you call it?

Someone has sold you a bill of goods, my friend. If you want to believe scriptures that are about the unsaved, so you can continue to act like them, and not the power that comes with salvation, then put me on ignore, and stay in darkness.

No, no one has sold me a bill of goods. My beliefs are perfectly in line with scripture. You are, of course, entitled to your own interpretation of scripture.

Oh, still waiting for you to answer my questions. Still waiting for you to explain your false accusation that I was judging you.
