Matt 4:

1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

He was led away to be tempted by the devil, BUT Jesus, rather answered every temptation with the words of God.
What seems to be forgotten by some people is that if Jesus had, then that would have meant that He was not a pure sacrifice which was required to redeem mankind.

Satan's tempting of Jesus was allowed by God also, to show us that we do not have to succumb to temptation but rather, if we are grounded in Gods word and walk in faith, we too can resist temptation that leads to all kind of sin.
God always provides us with a way out.

Agreed Karl, ever since the garden, Satan always uses a twisted version of Gods words. That's why us reading, remembering, and following what the Bible tells us is so vital.
And to be Bereans and test things said (even when someone says "God told me" probably even more so) testing against what the Bible says. God never speaks contrary to what He has said in Scripture.
