I rise to that challenge on J's behalf.

You have said outright you're an atheist. Here's the definition of the term.

atheist
noun
1) One who denies the existence of God, or of a supreme intelligent being.
2) A godless man; one who disregards his duty to God.
3) One who disbelieves or denies the existence of a God, or supreme intelligent Being.
Yeah, one who disbelieves.

I lack a belief in God.

Having no belief in God is NOT the same thing as believing that there is no God.
Also, you seem to not acknowledge your very own words...it's becoming quite a trend.

#2860
"Or maybe it was because he wasn't there to begin with."
Suggesting a possibility.
#2880
"It's not God given at all, because I don't believe he exists."
Saying "I don't believe he exists," is NOT the same thing as "I believe he doesn't exist."
#2997
"I see your God the same way you see Zeus. Nonexistant."
Because I haven't seen any evidence to support the claim. Just like how I see a circus in the local showground as nonexistent. It COULD be there, but without any evidence to support that claim, it might as well not be.

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
So what? Lots of people of lots of different faiths can quote from their holy text to show that their particular faith is correct. Your claims are no different to theirs.

You believe the pre-existing universe just woke up on a Tuesday morning and decided, "Yeah, this seems like the right time."

You believe that God who had literally existed for eternity just woke up on a Tuesday morning and decided, "Yeah, this seems like the right time to create the universe."

@J Mick if you're going to laugh at my claim that there is nothing in evolution that requires the intervention of a God, how about you put your money where your mouth is and give a specific example of something that does need such intervention, showing why it couldn't have happened without such intervention.

I somehow suspect you will make an excuse not to do this, since you don't appear to actually understand evolution, nor do you appear to know how to create a valid argument.

I believe God existed when time did not exist. This does not mean there is an "eternity past." I believe a mind is the only thing that can choose to start the universe. Since you assume no mind is involved, you have no explanation at all and deny a perfectly plausible explanation because you care what the secular "experts" say.

The fact you think anything science has discovered works on it's own is remarkable, Kylie.

Yet again, all you can do is assert something. You never give any support for your claims.

Listen Kylie,
If i could prove GOD existed to you,
Don't you think your husband would've first?

So what ws God doing before he created the universe then?
I believe a mind is the only thing that can choose to start the universe.
Since you have a mind, demonstrate for me how this is done. Create a universe for me using just your mind.
Since you assume no mind is involved, you have no explanation at all and deny a perfectly plausible explanation because you care what the secular "experts" say.
First of all, false dichotomy. You've given no reason for anyone to accept your "mind or nothing" claim about the beginning of the universe.

Secondly, you are in no position to pass judgement on what science has shown us about the beginning of the universe unless you have qualifications in the relevant field. Since I doubt you do, your opinion about it is meaningless.

Thirdly, why do you assume that any scientist who does not share you specific flavour of religious faith MUST be an atheist? There are plenty of Christian scientists, y'know, many of them working in astronomy and cosmology, and they have no problem with the Big Bang and a universe that is billions of years old.

You seem very confused about what I believe.

You can believe anything you want about the beginning of the universe, just don't call it scientific because it's not.

Where have I denied science?

I believe in an old earth and old universe, so you are assuming a great many things about me that are not true. Why? Because you don't want to believe I hold a scientific view of the creation of the universe. This is your failing and shows your immense bias, not against me, but against any sort of God hypothesis. There are many cosmologists and physicists who are deists, which is quite a bit different from what you believe. Something for you to think about.

There's no point in using a word when you have it so vaguely defined it can mean almost anything.

Like I've stated previously to "evolve" is to grow and change. I already included the definition previously, but you seem adamant that there's only one way to view evolution, which is not true. Once a believer, God conforms us to the image of his Son (Jesus Christ) this is a spiritual process of evolution. Evolution can be both physical and spiritual. Definitions in bold for clarification.

evolve
intransitive verb

1) To develop or achieve gradually.
2)To work (something) out; devise.

3) To develop (a characteristic) by evolutionary processes.

evolution
noun

1) A gradual process in which something changes into a different and usually more complex or better form.
2) A result of this process; a development.

3) Change in the genetic composition of a population during successive generations, often resulting in the development of new species. The mechanisms of evolution include natural selection acting on the genetic variation among individuals, mutation, migration, and genetic drift.

Virtual particles. They literally appear out of nothing. The Nature of Nothingness: Understanding the Vacuum Catastrophe

Reading the article, there's no indication that "nothing is behind everything". There are 2 scriptures that relate to the beginning and the end of the universe. There are disagreements within the science community of such phenomena.

God created everything through the Word (Jesus Christ) John 1:1-5
He maintains it Hebrews 1:3
He will end it Hebrews 1:10-12

And as I've said multiple times now, this definition includes me putting bread in the toaster. The bread EVOLVES into toast!

That's not what you asked though, is it?

You asked me for something that wasn't created.

Now you are trying to make the discussion about something else. That's a logical fallacy called "Moving the Goalposts."

I don't say "Only a mind" but I think it's the inference to the best explanation. Naturalism has literally zero explanation.

Why do you think they believe in a god? Because they know science can't explain everything.

Having no belief in God is NOT the same thing as believing that there is no God.
Then why not call yourself agnostic? Seems like you're not sure.

Saying "I don't believe he exists," is NOT the same thing as "I believe he doesn't exist."
You missed the definition of atheist.

Because I haven't seen any evidence to support the claim. Just like how I see a circus in the local showground as nonexistent. It COULD be there, but without any evidence to support that claim, it might as well not be.
See the definition of agnostic below.

agnostic
noun

1) One who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God.
2) One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism.

3) One who is doubtful or noncommittal about something.
