God knows what is going to happen. That doesn’t mean that God sends disasters and pandemics to kill people. The Titanic, 9-11 and the current virus are the doings of man not God.
If he knows and then creates it making it inevitable, how can he not be the cause of it?

Is this because you will shoot your own foot if you answer it?
No, but thanks for your brotherly love and concern for my foot.

I have created a thread "How could God allow this?" in the apologetics forum for Christians in which I address this.

I'm not allowed in that forum.

The "problem of evil" is a logical argument created by Atheists to deny God exists (you can google it, there is a wikipedia page for it). I highly doubt they would phrase their question the way you have.

However, I have created a thread "How could God allow this?" to address this question. It is for Christians only in the apologetics forum.
I think the problem of evil is easily answered by scripture.

Perhaps you should try reading what I have written. I have said multiple times that disasters and pandemics are the fault of men, not God. Where did I say that God created any of them? Please don’t put false words in my mouth.

The Titanic hitting an iceberg was not God’s doing. It was caused by a captain who ignored ice warnings and sailed his ship full speed into an ice field.

9-11 was certainly not God’s doing. That was the work of terrorists who gained control of several jets.

The current pandemic is not God’s doing. This virus arose of of unsanitary conditions at Chinese markets.

God has been there for everyone who has suffered from all of these.

Not everything God sends is without a means. Don't you as a Lutheran depend on a miracle incased in otherwise natural means?

Incased? I don’t think that is a word.

"How do we answer unbelievers who ask Christians, why our loving God would (allow or send) this microscopic enemy to reek such devastating havoc on the world."

Not only unbelievers, but many Christians are also asking this Q. You can be a believer and still ask these questions.

God hates sin and sinners. Is one biblical answer. And the wages of sin is death. Also, in his 4 judgments he sends are war, famine, plagues, and wild animals (bats people eat etc.). We see this in Revelation and in the OT. capped off by;

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” John 3:36 (KJV 1900)

I am addressing this question in a new thread "How could God allow this?" in the apologetics forum. I don't think the discussion belongs in Current events and suspect it would be moved if we persist with it here.

That's not an answer. We all have many influences on us but we still make free choices. Where does scripture say God plans our every move, thought, and action?
God controls all free choices according to his eternal plan.

Then why is a Christian asking the question on this thread?
An atheist has no reason to even believe concepts like good and evil exist.

You need to put it in a forum everyone has access to. I have a solidly biblical answer to this question.

I am open to moving it to a thread that everyone has access to, I thought everyone did have access to that one. But, I am pretty sure it doesn't belong in Current events and News. Yes, it is a reasonable question to ask based on the current events, but it is a question about the bible, not the news.
