The kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God are NOT the same. Read the scriptures where each one is given, then ask this question: Who was included in the kingdom of heaven and who is included in the kingdom of God? Who was the kingdom of heaven to be granted to? Who is the kingdom of God given to?
You will see that there is a big difference between them.

Hi, so are you advocating any particular denomination? What are you saying? Do away with denominations? Then how would things go?

I like the idea of harmony etc but with many Churches reading the scriptures differently to each other what is one to do?

In my opinion, one must follow the Holy Spirit which gives to those who have been called by It to the Body of Christ. It can be a lonely walk as I have found. But at the same time, if you pray for guidance and understanding, it can be rewarding for what you will learn from The Spirits guiding.

I believe in the seven churches as ages...

Ephesus - Messianic - Beginning with the Apostle to the Circumcision, Peter
Smyrna - Martyr - Beginning with the Apostle to the Un-Circumcision, Paul
Pergamos - Orthodoxy formed in this time... Pergos is a tower... Needed in the dark ages
Thyatira - Catholicism formed in this time - The spirit of Jezebel is to control and to dominate.
Sardis - Protestantism formed in this time- A sardius is a gem - elegant yet hard and rigid
Philadelphia - Wesleyism formed in this time - To be sanctioned is to acquire it with love.
Laodicea - Charismatic movement formed in this time - Beginning with DL Moody, the first to make money off of ministry

Christ Jesus walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks, which are the seven churches, and who holds all we lights within the congregations in his right hand...

Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; - Revelation 2:1

So all the many congregations and denominations are genuine Christian churches, making up the whole Christian church.

I say.... Every generation is unique. I can see a huge difference in my grandparents, parents, mine, and today's generation.

The church has also changed through the generations.

I just found this great article on Got Questions discussing this very topic. Here it is: Why are there so many Christian denominations?

To quote from this particular article, and to answer some questions of people on this thread, like "What is a Believer to do? Should we ignore denominations? Should we just not go to church and worship on our own at home? The answer to both questions is no. What we should be seeking is a body of believers where the Gospel of Christ is preached, where you as an individual can have a personal relationship with the Lord, where you can join in biblical ministries that are spreading the Gospel and glorifying God. Church is important and all believers need to belong to a body that fits the above criteria. We need relationships that can only be found in the body of believers, we need the support that only the church can offer, and we need to serve God in community as well as individually. Pick a church on the basis of its relationship to Christ and how well it is serving the community. Pick a church where the pastor is preaching the Gospel without fear and is encouraged to do so. My thoughts now: In Christianity, The Good News of Christ should come first: That he was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and took our sin upon himself on the cross. But the story doesn't end there. We also must believe that Jesus overcame death and was resurrected 3 days later. I believe churches need to preach Repentance more, as it's through repentance that we receive forgiveness of sins. Which leads me to another important teaching: Forgiveness. We oftentimes learn to forgive others for things done wrong, but find it hard to forgive even ourselves for our wrongdoings. But, yes, in Christianity we are One Body, in One mind and one accord. (Phillippians 2:2)

That's exactly what they are, even though the unity is not yet complete.

Is the body of Christ not complete in it's purpose? Did God not know that Jesus Christ shoul
have set up Denominations? You can walk your road, I will walk the one that Jesus Christ set up by the apostle Paul; He did not set up denominations, which is division. Paul preached unity of the Spirit.
