I wouldn't consider myself as any denomination, really. I consider myself a Christian, but not any particular denomination. I share different beliefs from other Christians as far as history goes, such as the creation of the world, etc, etc..so, I probably wouldn't fit under any denomination.

Who thought up all these denominations?

And why?

I am Christian.
Well, there are many ways to answer that - but this is a short one.
The Protestant Church is not run by a head or Pope or Bishop. Interpretation of the Bible is left up to the Christian, based on study, continous devotion to the Word and prayer. I am Protestant. And I am Christian. I agree that Denominations are confusing and in many cases causes problems for the Christian when locating a congregation to Worship in. However, some things are interpreted different ways. ie: Baptism, Gifts, End Times...etc... and these beliefs seprate the Christian Church into denominations. Even a non-denominational church is, in fact, a Denomination. However, these small doctrinal issues that make up different denominations in the Protestant Church are not essentials, and not set dogma. We, as Christians believe the essentials to be the same. Saved by Grace Alone, through Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The only way to the Father is through the Son. We are ONE Church...saved by ONE GOD.
