Welcome!

As a senior veteran, has God given you any insights about the times we are in?

G.

Yes, I have posted some on my blog and much on the Dreams and Visions forum as the Lord often uses dreams and visions as a way of giving me insight into the times in which we now live.

I think if you go to my profile that you can access all of that from there.

Good morning everyone! I just joined this site a few hours ago and already posted about 12 times and I saw this Forum and had to be a part of it. Even as a Pastor, I want to grow in strength and faith even more than I have in the last six years since I became a Christian. I'm glad to be a part of this Group and this site. :amen:

Reading Proverbs 1, I was disturbed by the terrible consequences noted there associated with not choosing the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord, I read elsewhere was defined as "instruction in wisdom." What I sensed the Spirit saying was that being in a relationship with a mentor, someone who felt responsible for my soul having wisdom (Hebrews 13:17), was what it meant to choose the fear of the Lord.

The encouragement and fostering of such relationships is what I understand this site is about. I have had some experience with hoping for and investing in such relationships with others led to be pastors, and testify that it has consistently been profitable. Ditto with being available to others looking for "instruction in wisdom."

Hello,
I am not going to try and tell you much about myself as it would take a book. However I am ordained, spirit filled, called by God to be a prophetic Bible Teacher.
I am writing books, bible studies, commentaries, and love to discuss what God is telling you. I can only say that without God (and I have seen Him working in every day of my life) I am nothing.
Here is the verses God gave me as I left the hospital after being resurrected from being clinically dead for over 12 hours in May 1994. (Eph 4:1-13NRS)

I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all. But each of us was given grace according to the measure of Christ's gift. Therefore it is said, "When he ascended on high he made captivity itself a captive; he gave gifts to his people." (When it says, "He ascended," what does it mean but that he had also descended1 into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is the same one who ascended far above all the heavens, so that he might fill all things.) The gifts he gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ.

God bless and if I can help please let me know.

I tried to post earlier with quick post but it seemed to be lost.

I just wanted you to know that I am reading this thread and can attest to the following. I am a spirit filled Pastor who has been called to the ministry of being a prophetic Bible Teacher.

I have been prepared by God in experience, and education.

I will share what God gave me when I left the hospital the third day after dying on the operating table and being clinically dead for over 12 hours.

Ephesians Chaper 4:1-13.

Let us all seek the perfection of Jesus and the filling of the Holy Spirit. If we continue to move toward perfection we will achieve it in the end.

Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls and will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with sighing -- for that would be harmful to you. (Heb 13:17 NRS)
Heb 13:7
Remember your leaders, those who spoke the word of God to you; consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.
Eze 34:10
Thus says the Lord GOD, I am against the shepherds; and I will demand my sheep at their hand, and put a stop to their feeding the sheep; no longer shall the shepherds feed themselves. I will rescue my sheep from their mouths, so that they may not be food for them.

When it talks of obeying your leaders it is not to be done blindly. If you are a believer who has the filling of the Holy Spirit and walk with God in harmony you will be able to discern (a gift from God) their walk and fruits.

If your leaders are not living a biblically pure life and not following the Holy Word of God in all things then you must discern when they are out of God's grace and you are not required to follow where they lead.

We are all responsible for our walk. The leaders should be their to help us into a deeper walk with God and not try and control us to do their will and not God's.

Remember that we are none perfect. We do not have all the truth. We must strive to learn and grow spiritually into the calling we were called and most of us are to follow not lead. However, we must not follow into destruction.

Seek by asking God for the knowledge and confirmation of anything another man asked you to do or believe before completion.

Act 20:24
But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God's grace.

I will be held to a higher standard than others if I am in a leadership posiiton. These positions include anything that I do that will effect anothers walk with God.

God's blessings to those who seek the truth. Please pray, study, and seek confirmation from God.

Thank you! Now, about the proclamations that "all authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to" Jesus. That all authority is from God. What do we do about getting faith for these? What do they mean?

Can you reword your question as I am trying to understand what you are asking? What does getting faith for these mean?

God as creator and God has all authority period everywhere. Since Jesus is God then the authority is still in the creators hands. Are you having trouble in understanding that God has manifested Himself as Creator/Father, Jesus the Christ our Savior, and the Holy Spirit but all are God?

Uh, Hitler was the authority over Nazi Germany. Was he from God? Did he, as Pilot, only do what God wanted him to do? Or did the German people have insufficient faith when they prayed for their leaders, to get them behaving better?

I'm new too. Hi to everyone and remember to live the Holy life of God always. But should that fail anytime, don't be sad, because you can get up and instantly continue to live the Holy life of God again, always. Isn't that amazing?

Sammi :)

Yes, it is amazing! Thanks for the reminder! And, welcome.

Hello,
Very new here (first post), but wanted to stop in and say hello. I have been a Christian most of my life, but God has recently transformed me and He now owns my life. I can't get enough of the Bible, of fellowship and I am desperately seeking His will and purpose for my life.

Very happy to be here and to meet people who share my passion in life.

Recall that Jesus said to His disciples that there were many things He wanted to share with them, but they could not bear to hear them. The call to prepare the way of the Lord, to receive the love of the truth, as in "love suffers long," never fades. I find that deeper fellowship allows me to face truths I normally would not want to think about. Friends and brothers and sisters who know something and pray me through.

Hello all. I look forward to edifying and being edified.

If you abide in Him (us) and His word abides in you, you can ask Him whatever you want, and He will do it for you. Nothing is too difficult for Him, but you must learn to count it all joy when you encounter various trials, knowing (=intimate involvement) that the testing of your faith will produce patience or endurance of suffering. This keeps you abiding until you get whatever you ask, are perfect, lacking in nothing. What would you like to ask Him to do? Think about it! Whatever good thing you may want, love, justice, peace, protection, provision...just abide, and keep His word abiding in you, and it is yours!

So, find a mentor and abide in them, learn and keep His commandments, and then fix something wrong in this sad world through prayer. You can do it! I want to hear the report!
