If you are a child sitting all alone on that chair, in a dark room for nearly sixteen years, lost and frightened. Then suddenly you saw a light where there was privously none. You saw a light steaming in to that dark room as the door was being opened - a glorious light beyond all compare, and you KNEW it was Jesus coming to rescure you from that terrible place... I think if He was holding out His had you would very happily take it and follow Him out....
