CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ya know?Hmmm...dealbreakers, huh?
BUT only things out of the norm, huh?
* NO boys from Tennessee (you wouldn't believe the strange folks I have met from there.)
* NO boys who chew or dip or smoke
* NO boys who don't brush their teeth at LEAST 3 times a day
* NO boys who wear overalls and a dress shirt and tie to church and call that "dressed up"
* And NEVER, EVER a boy who carries a smaller water pistol than mine.
Call me picky, but these things are non-negotiable.

Whereas women from Florida are highly suspect...it ain't exactly a deal breaker by where they are living currently...
But,

Being threatened with a (clean) flyswatter isn't 1/2 as bad as having to go outside and pick out your own switch to be swatted with.
And collecting shoes is a ministy for me. I "donate" to the poor employees who have to meet their commission quotas, and they send me home with a pair of adorable new shoes. How can that be a bad thing?
And as for the water pistol...
Do I detect a case of pistol-envy?

Me thinks I am detecting a dash bit of some sort of rivalry here in this thread
and that can be good.We went from picking on the states in which people live, to flyswatters and switches, to sandals and ties, to a shoe ministry, to the size of water pistols - this is one wild thread of deal breakers.
So what are mine?
