On the one hand, BLM has a point when they say that such gestures are no substitute for actual policy changes,

On the other hand, it sends a message to Donald in no uncertain terms... while I cannot advise trying to out-petty Donald (he will always win such a contest), still...

Considering that the Mayor doesn't have any authority over Planned Parenthood, and certainly no legal authority to paint their property, I'm going to guess that she is not.

The maze of armed federal organizations is fantastic. Someone should make an internet game out of it, like Fantasy Football League.

There are maybe 25 different federal armed police organizations in the DC area, including a separate Smithsonian Institution Police Force. Seriously. Their shooting range is actually in the basement of one of the museums. They're stepping all over each other's jurisdictions.

I was surprised to learn, years ago, the local state university has a SWAT team. And Disney, here in Central Florida, has its own SWAT team as well (they are also allowed to build a nuclear reactor completely without state oversight, it's part of the Reedy Creek Improvement District, a legal entity created in the 1960's).
