Would you like a link to all 5 parts of a 40 page document that is in this style of a format?

‘Day of the Lord’ is a good example of why the book is by a single author and why the generation that is going to be effected by what is written about in the last book. With that in mind I’m going to work backwards through the book as the method being used in a general information type of document. The additional verses will stay on topic even if the references are scattered about.

Information is left out here yet that missing information is included in 2Th:2 when it says the truth (about what the Bible says about God) will fall to the ground (RCC Latin Bible was that event) and somebody must sit on a throne in Jerusalem and claim to be the God of the Bible. That is a future event but it answers the ‘what is withholding the return’ and the answer is that prophecy not being fulfilled is what is holding back the return rather than it being anything else that is promoted in a variety of false doctrines.

1Th:5:1-3:
But of the times and the seasons,
brethren,
ye have no need that I write unto you.
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
For when they shall say,
Peace and safety;
then sudden destruction cometh upon them,
as travail upon a woman with child;
and they shall not escape.

Peace and safety in Revelations is only during the 4 days that the two witnesses are dead in the streets of Jerusalem and that is the last 4 days of the period known as the 2nd woe. The 3 woes mentioned after 4 trumps have sounded are for the 5th trump (5 months of hell) and the 6th trump (37 months in which 1/3 of the people on the planet are killed). When the 2nd woe ends in Re:11 the 3rd woe starts and the beginning is provided but the full text is all of Re:11. The ‘thief in the night’ prophecy unfolds during a specific vial as it affects a named group. The kings alive at that time are not the 10 kings that are given kingdoms by the Beast from the Pit but the Church would have some citizens in those countries that would survive the vials and these are the kings being referenced as they walk to Jerusalem and the only water they touch is the one flowing in the new and improved Jordan River in Eze:47 as that is how they are glorified to be the same as Jesus was in the 40 days after he was glorified by God in the Re:4 temple. The 12 Tribes are there before the Church starts to arrive. The resurrections start after a 1260 day period. 30 days before that is the sealing of the 144,000 and the two witnesses and the first 4 trumps sound at the rate of 1 per day for 4 days. Daniel also promotes 1335 days and taking away the 1290 days would leave you the time it takes for the Gentiles who survived the 7 vials to walk to Jerusalem so they enter from the east. The heat from the fire that destroys Satan’s Babylon in one hour is how the rivers are dried up.

The 10 kings the Beast appoints are probably all dead by the end of the 1st vial.

Re:16:12-16:
And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates;
and the water thereof was dried up,
that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon,
and out of the mouth of the beast,
and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles,
which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world,
to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

I posted this on the Controversial Forum. But it is plainly stated scripture, tied to a well known cosmic phenomenon, that our sun does occasionally.
We should all know about this forthcoming event and be ready to take cover until it passes. Isaiah 26:20-21

Joel 1:15 The day is near, the Day of the Lord: it comes as a mighty destruction from Almighty God.

Joel 2:1-5 Blow the trumpet in Israel, sound the alarm in Jerusalem. Let all who live in the Land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming – it is close at hand. A Day of darkness and clouds. Like [at] the dawn, an innumerable host comes across the land, such as never was and will never be again. A fire goes before them, leaving wasteland behind. With a great noise they leap mountains and consume everything to stubble.

Joel 2:6-11 At the sight of them, all the nations are in anguish. They march in line, none swerving against any defence. They rush upon cities and enter houses through the windows. The earth quakes and the sky is darkened. The Lord thunders at the head of His army, beyond number are those who obey His command. The Day of the Lord is great and dreadful, who can endure it?

Joel 1:6-12 & 19-20 this invading host destroys trees and crops. Fire has burnt the pastures and trees. All the streams have dried up.

The Day of the Lord, as described by Joel is not Armageddon, at the Return of Jesus or at the Great White Throne judgement. It is plainly an event before then, also prophesied in Isaiah 2:12-21, Revelation 6:12-17, Ezekiel 7:2-9: + over other 100 times.

Joel uses the metaphor of an army to describe how this destruction moves across the earth as it rotates- ‘with the dawn’. As nations turn to face the sun, the effects of a Coronal Mass Ejection- sunstrike will hit them. Initially, it will strike the earth as a light flash [Isaiah 30:26a] within 8 minutes, then the highly charged cosmic particles arrive about 24 hours later, causing immense destruction and deaths. Fires and volcanic eruptions will result in smoke and ash clouds, covering the sky. Isaiah 29:5-6, Psalms 18:7-15, Jeremiah 4:23-28

It will be an event ‘such has never been and will never be again; NOT caused by man.


Judah [the current State of Israel] will be badly affected- Hosea 8:14, Ezekiel 20:45-48, Isaiah 4:3-4, Zephaniah 1:1-18
And the Lord’s enemies: Isaiah 22:5-14, Psalms 83:1-18, Isaiah 63:1-6, Jeremiah 12:14

Deuteronomy 32:34-43 says how He will act when His enemies ‘foot will slip”. That is they make a mistake. That mistake will be their instigating an attack against Israel.


Malachi 4:1-3 Surely the day of the Lord is coming, it will burn like a furnace. All the evildoers will be as stubble, they will be burned up. They will be ashes under your feet. But for you, who revere My Name, righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. You will rejoice and prevail over the wicked on the Day that I act against them.

THEN the many prophecies that describe the migration of all true believers into the Promised Land will come to pass. This great exodus of His faithful Christian people will fulfil the promises that God made to the Patriarchs and they will, at last be a people that will be a ‘light to the nations’. They will prepare themselves and the world for the Return of Jesus. Ezekiel 35:11-30, Ezekiel 36:8-12, Deuteronomy 30:1-10, Zechariah 10:6-12, Isaiah 46:27-28, Ezekiel 39:25-29, Zephaniah 10:6-12

That Jesus is not yet present at this time, is clear from the many verses saying: ‘You will know that I am the Lord, when... And how it ‘will be as in the days of Egypt’.

The tribulation are the 7 trumps that take 3 1/2 years to sound off:

In Jesus second coming every eye will see Him I don’t know if He will rule the millennium on this earth or on new earth people are born but He could rule on this earth just as He did when He was on earth but all or many people life span will be greater but they will not know it is because of Jesus for those born during millennium those who never were tested and not old enough to make decision who see Christ yet may be made to forget what they saw so they are tested. The only problem is how could all the saved come to this earth but it could be in turns that life on earth will be different from then on there will be visitors from heaven that those who never were tested are taught by them and have risk of being punished if they disobey after 1000 years for christ will rule all people with them for 1000 years for all to know Christ but they still need to follow Him and after 1000 years satan will be bound with demons and can deceive others. The bible says to be aware of false messiahs so it could be devils come to earth first if they persecute and punish people who believe in Jesus as them if they don’t convert to their doctrine.

THOUSAND YEAR MILLENIAL REIGN OF CHRIST

WHY DOES JESUS NEED TO RETURN TO EARTH TO REIGN?

What could possibly be the Lord’s purpose in returning to this world to reign for a thousand years? Why does the Lord or the world need a millennium?

WHY? Because of God’s promises to Israel and the Jewish people, to the church, to the nations, to the creation, and to God’s promises to Jesus. We know God’s promises will come to pass because God always keeps His promises.

PROMISES TO ISREAL AND THE JEWISH PEOPLE

God has made covenants and promises with the nation Israel and the Jewish people but with space constraints on Facebook I will not go into specific details.

Briefly, God had promised that He would gather to the land of Israel the remnant of Jews who accept Jesus as their Messiah at the end of the great Tribulation (Ezek. 36:22-28; Zech. 10:6-9).

He will pour out His Spirit upon this remnant (Isaiah 32:15; 44:3), and greatly expand their numbers and their land (Eze. 36:10-11; 48:1-29) and make them the prime nation in all the world (Isaiah 60-62).

A golden era with a perfect government under King Jesus, ruling from David’s throne in Jerusalem, where creation will be restored, perfect justice will prevail, world experiencing international peace, and perfect distribution of truth in Christ’s millennial reign.

Zechariah says the blessings of God upon the Jewish remnant will be so great in those days that, “Ten men from all the nations will grasp the garment of a Jew saying, ‘let us go with you, for we have heard God is with you’ (v. 8:2).”

PROMISES TO THE CHURCH

God has promised that the Redeemed in Christ would reign over all the nations of the world. “Then the sovereignty, the dominion, and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Highest One;

His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will serve and obey Him (Daniel 7:27).”

In the New Testament, Paul repeated the same promise in the simplest of terms: “If we endure, we shall also reign with him (2 Tim. 2:12).”

Jesus affirmed the promise in His letter to the church at Thyatira when He wrote: “... and he who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations; and he shall rule them with a rod of iron (Rev. 2:26-27).”

When John was taken to heaven for a visit to the throne room of God, he heard a heavenly host singing a song that contained the following verse: “And Thou has made them (the redeemed) to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth (Rev. 5:10).”

Jesus will reign as King of the world from Mount Zion in Jerusalem (Isaiah 24:23; Zech. 14:9).

The redeemed, and their glorified bodies, will help Christ with His reign by serving worldwide as administrators and spiritual tutors to those who enter the kingdom in the flesh and to their children (Dan. 7:18, 27; Jer. 3:19; Luke 19:11-17).

PROMISES TO THE NATIONS

God has promised that a time will come when the nations will be provided with their greatest dream; namely, worldwide peace.

This has been an international dream since the beginning of time but it has proved to be impossibly elusive.

Nations will learn God’s ways: “Many nations shall come and say, ‘Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord….. He will teach us His ways, and we will walk in His paths. For out of Zion the law shall go forth… (Micah 4:2).

God has promised to give mankind and the earth a rest from its wars. But that peace will not come until the Prince of Peace returns.

Only then will the nations, “… hammer their swords into plowshares, and their Spears into pruning hooks.”

Only then will we realize the dream of a world where “Nation will not lift up sword against nation, and never again will they learn war (Isaiah 2:4).”

PROMISES TO THE CREATION

God has promised to remove the curse which He placed upon the creation due to the sin of man. He has promised to deliver the creation from its bondage to decay and to restore it to its original beauty, balance, and peace (Rom. 8:18-23).

The carnivorous animals will become herbivorous (Isa. 11:6).

The deadly animals will cease to be poisonous (Isa. 11:8-9).

The plant kingdom will flourish and produce bountifully (Isa. 35; Ezek. 34:25-31).

The land of Israel will become so radically transformed that visitors will proclaim in amazement: “This desolate land has become like the Garden of Eden (Ezek. 36:35).”

PROMISES TO JESUS

The reason for the millennium is that God is going to use it to fulfil promises which He has made to His Son.

God has promised Jesus that he would be glorified in history to compensate in part for His humiliation in history.

The Bible says point blank that Jesus will return to manifest His glory (Isa. 24:23; 66:18-19; 2 Thess.1:7-10).

God also has promised that He will give Jesus dominion over all the world and that He will reign over the nations from Mount Zion in Jerusalem (Dan. 7:13-14; Isa. 2:2-4; Zech. 14:1-9).

Psalm chapter 2 presents a good summary of these promises. It begins by surveying the rebellion of the world’s political leaders against God and His Son, referred to in the passage as “His Anointed (v1,2).”

It describes their contempt for the Lord (v.3). But the Psalm says that God sits in the heavens and laughs and scoffs at them because He has appointed a day of reckoning when He will “terrify them in His fury (v.5).” That will be the day when He installs Jesus as “King upon Zion (v.6).”

Jesus then speaks and tells of the promise His Father has made to Him: “I will surely tell of the degree of the Lord: He said to Me, ‘Thou art My Son, today I have begotten Thee. Ask of Me and I will surely give the nations as Thine inheritance, and the very ends of the earth as Thy possession. Thou shall break them with a rod of iron…’ (v. 7-9).”

It must be kept in mind that Jesus is currently a “King-in-waiting.” Like King David, who had to wait many years after he was anointed before he became King of Israel; likewise Jesus has been anointed King of kings and Lord of Lords, but He has not yet begun to rule.

He is currently serving as our “High Priest” before the throne of God (Heb. 8:1). Jesus is waiting for His Father’s command to return and claim all the kingdoms of this world (Hebrews 2:5-9; Rev. 19:11-16).

THE VINDICATION OF CHRIST DEMANDS IT

It is inconceivable that the last public view the world would have of Jesus would be that of a bleeding, dying, crucified criminal, covered with blood, hanging naked on the cross.

Some people may not realize this but after Christ’s resurrection He never appeared in a public venue before unbelievers. No record that unbelievers ever saw Him.

But on Christ’s return the unbelieving world will see His glory displayed to everyone. The Savior who was humiliated, taunted, and put to death in a public display of humanity’s hatred of God will return as conquering Lord in view of the entire world (Luke 21:25-27).

“And every eye will see Him (Rev. 1:7).” The Second Coming of Jesus, coming in glory as a conquering hero, is the apex of human history – the glory of Christ at His most glorious moment in Scripture.

THE DESTRUCTION OF SATAN DEMANDS IT

Satan, an already defeated foe as far as Christians are concerned, still exercises a kind of dominion over this world (John 12:31, 14:30, 16:11; 2 Cor. 4:4; Eph. 2:2, 6:12; 1 John 5:19).

But Christ is the only rightful ruler of this world and when He returns, He will overthrow and destroy Satan completely. In Revelation chapter 5, Jesus receives the title deed of the earth from God, the Father.

After one last-ditch effort by Satan to retain his unlawful dominion over the earth during the tribulation, Christ Himself returns at the battle of Armageddon to vanish the foe.

He chains him into a bottomless pit, and then after the thousand years, confines him to an eternal lake of fire (Rev. 19). With that Christ’s victory over Satan, the usurper, is complete.

ESSENTIAL TO THE MASTER PLAN

The millennium is essential for the fulfilment of all the promises that God has made to Jesus, to the Jews, to the church, to the nations, and to creation.

It is also essential to His determination to prove that the source of all evil is the fallen nature of man, not the corruption of society, and that the only hope for this world is Jesus, not political reform.

In the beginning, when God created man, the devil sought to dwarf the Divine plan for the human race. Man (Adam) surrendered the scepter to Satan, who is now the god of this age (2 Cor. 4:4).

But Jesus Christ, the last Adam, through His death and resurrection has regained for man the dominion over the world and will after the millennium dethrone Satan and rule as King supreme.

The Redeemed of the earth will be associated with Him in His reign (Rev. 5:9, 10; 20:4-6). So, it would appear that the very honor of the Lord is at stake in all of this.

The scene of Christ’s humiliation, suffering, and crucifixion will one day witness His exultation and glory. The millennium is essential to God’s purpose in glorifying His Son.

God is going to manifest the glory of Jesus before His redeemed saints and before all the nations of the world.

A description of the millennial blessings: “All the ends of the world will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations who worship before Thee. For the kingdom is the Lord’s, and He rules over the nations.

Posterity will serve Him, it will be told of the Lord to the coming generation. They will come and will declare His righteousness to a people who will be born, that He performed it (Psalm 22:27-31).”

The millennium will be the time when there will be a full manifestation of the glory, the power, and the will of God over this earth. Just as God fulfilled all the promises in the First Coming of His Son, He is going to fulfil all those promises that relate to Christ’s Second Coming, including the promise of a millennial reign.

A FINAL REASON – MY THOUGHTS

I believe God is going to use the millennium to prove to man once and for all that Satan’s religion of humanism is totally bankrupt.

All humanists, regardless of their political or theological labels, all agree that the source of evil in the world is external to man. They view evil as rooted in the corruption of society.

They believe that the solution to all man’s problems can be solved in societal reform.

Take, as an example, their attitude towards crime. Humanists believe society is the root cause of crime.

All we have to do to eliminate crime, they argue, is to provide people with a guaranteed job that will supply them with sufficient income so that they will be able to live in a nice suburb.

But such reforms do not transform the basic nature of people – man’s sinful nature. You do not change man’s basic nature by changing their environment. Changing their environment simply converts them into more sophisticated sinners.

The humanistic view is absolutely contrary to Scripture. The Word of God teaches that the source of evil is rooted within man’s fallen nature and that it is man, and not society, which needs to be changed (Gen. 8:21; Jer. 17:9-10; Mark 7:20-23).

God’s Word also teaches that the only way this change can take place is through the work of the Holy Spirit within a person who has put his faith and trust in Christ Jesus.

God is going to prove this point by using the millennium like a great experimental laboratory. He is going to place mankind in a perfect environment of peace and prosperity for a thousand years with Jesus reigning in Jerusalem.

Satan will be bound and all people will be free from spiritual deception. Righteousness will abound. The Lord Jesus will be visibly ruling from Jerusalem dispensing joy, blessing, correction, teaching and perfect justice will prevail.

Those who are born in the millennium are still born with a sin nature (the seed of man). They will still need to repent and receive salvation.

God is just and fair and will give these people every opportunity to repent. Under these conditions, man will have no excuse on the Day of Judgement.

They won’t be able to say that the “devil made me do it” or that the temptations of the world causes mankind to sin.

Yet, at the end of the thousand years, what is man’s response? Many, in spite of knowledge, had refused to turn from their self-willed life and submit to God.

When Satan is turned loose after a thousand years, he is actually able to deceive a vast number into attacking Jesus Christ himself!

God gave man every external comfort and advantage, yet the problem really lies within each individual.

Each person is desperately in need to be reconciled to God and freed from that tyrant called “self.”

In the end God’s Word is fully vindicated as all possible excuses for man’s behavior are eliminated and Satan’s short-lived uprising at the end of the millennium is crushed.

The millennium will prove that what a man really needs is not a new society but a new heart – a new heart transplant that can only come when we put our total faith and trust in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen!

WHY DOES JESUS NEED TO RETURN TO EARTH TO REIGN?

If God showed at the start of the 1,000 years, all the people would die because they are not as holy as they will be 1,000 years later. (thanks to Jesus and the 24 Elders making them, so God sees them as being an immortal who is sinless.)

Supposing Jesus will come to rule on this earth which I am not sure but just a theory possible Jesus would not come in heavenly glory first just on earth they will not need to be purified after death as they will have chance to commune with God during that time to be purified only those who die before that time who had not been washed of their sins through baptism and communion will need to be temporarily punished for not putting on Christ through baptism to be buried and raised with Him in baptism to also continue to partake of His life through communion. For one is only ready now if he partakes now but others did not get chance to so need to be temporarily punished for not having transformation.

But this thread is about the forthcoming great and terrible Day of the Lord/s vengeance and wrath:

Psalms 83:1-2 Do not keep silent, O God; be neither quiet nor still, for your enemies raise an uproar and those who are hostile to You carry their heads high.

Psalms 83:3-5 They devise a cunning plot against Your people and conspire against those whom You treasure. “Let us wipe them out as a nation” they say, let the name of Israel be remembered no more.

Psalms 83:6-8 With one mind, they have conspired to form a league against you; the families of Edom, the Ishmaelites, Moabites and Hagars peoples, Gebal, Ammon, Amalek, Philistia and Tyre. Asshur, too is their ally, lending aid to the descendants of Lot.

Psalms 83:9-12 Deal with them as You did with Sisera, as with Jabin by the wadi of Kishon, who were vanquished and fell as Midian fell and became manure on the ground. Make their princes like Oreb and Zeeb, their Kings like Zebah and Zalmunna, who said; We will seize for ourselves the territory of Gods people.

Psalms 83:13-15 Scatter them, my God, like thistledown, like chaff blown before the wind As a fire raging through the forest, with flames which blaze across the hills, so pursue them with Your tempest, terrify them with Your storm winds.

Psalms 83:16-17 Heap shame upon their heads, until, Lord, they seek Your name. Let them be humiliated and live in constant terror; let them suffer disgrace and perish.

Psalms 83:18 So let it be known that, You, whose name is the Lord, are alone Most High over all the earth.

V1/ Almighty God, we ask for Your intervention. Help us, please, we pray.

V2/ Your enemies are proud and confident in their strength. They threaten the Holy Land from all sides.

V3/ They are plotting our downfall and conspiring against Your people. Isaiah 21:6-7

V11-12/ Then, the leaders of the enemies of Israel, said; “we will take over their Land”.

V13-15/ God of Israel – once again scatter the enemies of Your people; with fire and raging storms. Hebrews 10:27, Malachi 4:1, Psalm 50:3

V16/ Make them ashamed of their conduct and then at last, they will acknowledge You. Obadiah 10

V17/ Your enemies will suffer disgrace and humiliation. All peoples will know that You alone are the Most High Lord over all the earth.

Though I thought it is helpful what Oscar Leske wrote I did research his beliefs and do not agree with his belief that anyone does not risk loss of salvation by not doing works as evidence of being true believer as Jesus said to do works to preach and live holy and use talents whatever state you are already in to have ability to do though should seek to gain other talents you can to bring most profit within your ability. That if something seems hard and something else seems more profitable to do that and if you found it too difficult to serve God with talents to make more to share what you have you can do now with others.

For I do not believe people who teach people do not need to worry about doing works are right as Peter says make your calling and election sure saying add to your faith virtue and if you do these things you will never stumble and so an entrance will be supplied abundantly into the kingdom for I do not believe there is no danger for people not to do works in case they are not given opportunity to repent that if can not do if you are still alive can be saved but not to do could lead to you perhaps dying one time at time when you are not seeking God that salvation is gift of God in that any can be saved that none can boast only because they had done works before that they could still be saved and I had also quoted other beliefs but I want to make it clear my beliefs and to share that to teach as I am concerned for all those who teach that.

Yes; we must utilize whatever skills and talents we have to further the Kingdom.
But as we are told by Paul in 1 Corinthians 3:11-15, misapplied 'works', only means a loss of rewards, not rejection from the Kingdom.
Jesus made His offer plain in John 3:16 ALL who believe in Me shall have Eternal life.

Teaching is a 'work'. Just be sure you are teaching the truth, for all who teach will be more severely Judged. James 3:1

So, there will be a spiritual BATTLE against this devilish/satanic world ruled by the Old Serpent, called also the Devil and Satan-which deceiveth the whole world-Revelation 12:v.9.
And how do the nations will react? Remember, we cannot be ignorant of this thing that the beginning of eternal punishment was determined for a certain time, preached as the time of Apocalypse, a time of a grief and of desperate sorrow, a time of unbearables pains, once the time has come, the punishment is started and will never end, it is eternal. SUPERSTORM TRIGGERED A MASS MIGRATION OF SATELLITES: Earth just experienced the biggest mass migration of satellites in history. On May 10, 2024, approximately 5000 spacecraft had to maneuver to maintain altitude, resisting a geomagnetic storm that was trying to pull them down. The event is described in a research paper just accepted by the Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets.

"Most were SpaceX Starlink satellites," says William Parker of MIT, the paper's lead author. "Each satellite has a GNSS receiver as well as autonomous station-keeping and collision-avoidance capabilities. When they sensed the effects of the storm, thousands of the satellites made the decision to maneuver."

The need to migrate upward was caused by a sudden increase in satellite drag. Earth's atmosphere absorbed a huge amount of energy from the solar storm, causing it to puff up like a marshmallow held over a campfire. Tendrils of heated air reached into space and started dragging the satellites down.

"The superstorm's peak power was 2.63 TeraWatts," says Martin Mlynczak, who retired from NASA's Langley Research Center a month after the storm. Before he left, he used infrared data from NASA's TIMED spacecraft to estimate the amount of thermal energy dumped into the upper atmosphere. "It deposited enough energy to run my house for 10 million years (I average about 510 kWh per month)," he says.

Earth's atmosphere has been heated this much before, most recently during the Halloween storms of 2003. In those days, however, the satellite population was relatively low (fewer than 1000) and there was no mass migration.

"The May 2024 geomagnetic storm was the first major storm to occur during a new paradigm in low Earth orbit satellite operations dominated by commercial small satellites," the authors wrote in their paper.

Thanks mainly to the advent of Starlink in 2019, Earth now has almost 10,000 active satellites--ten times the number in 2003. When a fraction of them unexpectedly decide to change course all at once, satellite operators must scramble to track them, making sure they don't collide. This creates a new and unprecedented risk for all satellites, even ones that don't move.

It's a problem that will only get worse in the years ahead. "Major storms are more likely throughout 2024-2025 during the peak of Solar Cycle 25," says Parker, "and the satellite population continues to grow."

11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

People are becoming more and more apprehensive about the future, as we see a proliferation of natural disasters, with increasing political and economic problems, coupled with shortages of food and all resources. l.

But, the most obvious and dangerous flash point of concern is the Middle East. Most of the countries surrounding Israel are now in a unstable condition, with outright and covert war in most. . The very existence of the State of Israel in their midst is an anathema to them all. Psalm 83 lists the origins of those people who will conspire to ‘wipe out Israel as a nation’. When their attack commences, God will then answer the prayer of Psalms 83:13-18 Scatter them, my God, like thistledown, as a fire raging through the forest. Terrify them with Your storm winds, let them suffer disgrace and perish.

Many prophecies state how the Lord will act on this Day of His vengeance and wrath;

Micah 4:11-12 But now, many nations are massed against you, they say; Let Zion suffer, we will gloat over her downfall. They do not know God’s purpose; He has gathered them as sheaves for the threshing. Matthew 13:30

Psalm 37:13-15 The Lord will laugh at the wicked, their judgement is coming. They have prepared their weapons, but their weapons will pierce their own hearts.

Isaiah 66:15-17 See: The Lord is coming in fire, bringing His retribution and anger. He will judge with fire and sword to test all mankind. All the wicked will die.

Deuteronomy 32:41-42 I will sharpen My flashing sword and take vengeance on those who hate Me.

Malachi 4:1 The Day comes, burning like a furnace, all evildoers will be as stubble, destroyed in a fiery blaze.

Isaiah 30:26-33 The sun will shine with seven times its normal brightness. On that day He will protect and save His people. See; the Lord Himself comes from afar, His anger blazing and His doom heavy. With fire, He sieves the nations for destruction. Ref: REB, some verses abridged.



There are many other Bible passages that describe this Day. What we can establish from them is:

1/ It is this event that takes people unawares – that ‘comes as a thief’. Much later, for the glorious Return of Jesus, we are given the exact times from certain events.

2/ It will be a worldwide event, of 24 hours duration. Isaiah 29:5-6

3/ The Lord will actually cause fire to destroy His enemies, by the means of a CME.
Their own weapons will contribute to their destruction, the heat flash and the intense electromagnetic pulse will make rockets and bombs explode on the ground.

4/ His Righteous people will be kept safe, in a short time –Isaiah 29:17, they will gather and settle in the new country of Beulah – Isaiah 62:4, Isaiah35:1-10, Jeremiah 31:7-14, Ezekiel 39:25-29
