Proverbs 24
Everyone read Chapter 24 if it is the 24th day of the month today. Come back and give us your thoughts....Tishri1 :wave:

Proverbs 24New International Version (NIV)

Saying 20
24 Do not envy the wicked,
do not desire their company;
2 for their hearts plot violence,
and their lips talk about making trouble.

Saying 21
3 By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
4 through knowledge its rooms are filled
with rare and beautiful treasures.

Saying 22
5 The wise prevail through great power,
and those who have knowledge muster their strength.
6 Surely you need guidance to wage war,
and victory is won through many advisers.

Saying 23
7 Wisdom is too high for fools;
in the assembly at the gate they must not open their mouths.

Saying 24
8 Whoever plots evil
will be known as a schemer.
9 The schemes of folly are sin,
and people detest a mocker.

Saying 25
10 If you falter in a time of trouble,
how small is your strength!
11 Rescue those being led away to death;
hold back those staggering toward slaughter.
12 If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,”
does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
Does not he who guards your life know it?
Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?

Saying 26
13 Eat honey, my son, for it is good;
honey from the comb is sweet to your taste.
14 Know also that wisdom is like honey for you:
If you find it, there is a future hope for you,
and your hope will not be cut off.

Saying 27
15 Do not lurk like a thief near the house of the righteous,
do not plunder their dwelling place;
16 for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again,
but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.

Saying 28
17 Do not gloat when your enemy falls;
when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice,
18 or the Lord will see and disapprove
and turn his wrath away from them.

Saying 29
19 Do not fret because of evildoers
or be envious of the wicked,
20 for the evildoer has no future hope,
and the lamp of the wicked will be snuffed out.

Saying 30
21 Fear the Lord and the king, my son,
and do not join with rebellious officials,
22 for those two will send sudden destruction on them,
and who knows what calamities they can bring?

Further Sayings of the Wise
23 These also are sayings of the wise:

To show partiality in judging is not good:
24 Whoever says to the guilty, “You are innocent,”
will be cursed by peoples and denounced by nations.
25 But it will go well with those who convict the guilty,
and rich blessing will come on them.

26 An honest answer
is like a kiss on the lips.

27 Put your outdoor work in order
and get your fields ready;
after that, build your house.

28 Do not testify against your neighbor without cause—
would you use your lips to mislead?
29 Do not say, “I’ll do to them as they have done to me;
I’ll pay them back for what they did.”

30 I went past the field of a sluggard,
past the vineyard of someone who has no sense;
31 thorns had come up everywhere,
the ground was covered with weeds,
and the stone wall was in ruins.
32 I applied my heart to what I observed
and learned a lesson from what I saw:
33 A little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest—
34 and poverty will come on you like a thief
and scarcity like an armed man.

Hi,
I am glad to have found this one again.

----------------------------------------------------------

Saying 28
17 Do not gloat when your enemy falls;
when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice,
18 or the Lord will see and disapprove
and turn his wrath away from them.

---------------------------------------------------------

I who have fought, need to remind myself, God loves even those that are being punished. Thus, He hurts, when they hurt. He does not enjoy hurting someone, to correct them. He did not enjoy hurting those in Sodom and Gamorrah, nor anyone else in that whole Book. Rather, He loves them, and He is Tender and Mild, even though we all think, He is a Big Bad God, who is only to be feared.

I know His Son's Core personality. It is Tenderness and Mildness. So, yes, The Big Bad God, of the Universe, is tender and mild. Strength comes from that.

In God language Jesus is ~infinitely infinitely infinitely tender and then some and mild~ God language consists of ~my words, that are used by God my way, but visions with content from Him, and feelings with content from Him, plus information from The Holy Spirt.~

All three of those, I cannot give you. All of those, I can try to give you. Here, I am just using words, my way, and telling you the core personality of Jesus Christ, as it was given to me in God Language, and His core personality is the reason He loves.

He is ~infinitely infinitely infinitely tender and then some and mild~

LOVE,
...Mary., .... .

Hi,

26 An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips.

So many people tell me this is not so. So many. I am glad it is here, from God.

A nice tease is a lie, to tell a truth. Either something I like, or something that is true.

A hurtful tease is a lie, to tell a untruth. It is a lie to tell a lie.

A white lie is a lie to spare someone the hurt of a truth.

Of all the things above, there is only one choice that I am to make, under fear of The Lord, it is to choose Proverbs 24:26, or else He will be hurt, by my other choices.

LOVE,
...Mary., .... .

Bumping this for August!
This really speaks to me because it brings hope to those of us who look for wisdom from above first...and ignore what our flesh wants to do....
3 By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
4 through knowledge its rooms are filled
with rare and beautiful treasures.

Its a kick back from day 9 too :
Proverbs 9:1-6Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

9 Wisdom has built herself a house;
she has carved her seven pillars.
2 She has prepared her food, spiced her wine,
and she has set her table.
3 She has sent out her young girls [with invitations];
she calls from the heights of the city,
4 “Whoever is unsure of himself, turn in here!”
To someone weak-willed she says,
5 “Come and eat my food!
Drink the wine I have mixed!
6 Don’t stay unsure of yourself, but live!
Walk in the way of understanding!”

Pro 24:13 My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste: 14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

In reading Proverbs 24, verses 11 and 12 stood out for me:

11 If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;

12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?

to forbear means to refrain from, to withhold, to keep back.

This means to not help those who are going to be killed, who need help, and to forbear means to see their distress and to keep back from helping. And then to claim to not know about the distress of another.

God finds this abominable. It is written all throughout the Bible that this is despicable to God.

Hi,

It is your words, about a half hour ago, read here, that caused me to go back to work.

You are right. When working for God, we are not to be too tired to say what we know, when someone needs our help.

I, for you, did not want to share my information one more time. I did not.

Rather instantly, with a few seconds or more, and Alert pops up.

It is this one.

I understood.

I went back in, and finished what that person needed, that I had.

We really are a community aren't we. We really are not supposed to forsake our regular meetings. And even in women, iron sharpens, other women make us better in what we know and do for God.

LOVE,

verses
3-4 Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts.
Such truth here! It remindes me of my daughter, she has planned wisely and kept abreast of the facts, which has proved to be a protection for her business.

A just man falleth seven times... And riseth up again!

15 Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place:
16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:
18 Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him. - Proverbs 24

In reading Proverbs 24 verse 7 stood out for me:

"Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate."

This means that a stubborn, stiff-necked person, who gives no heed to wisdom, and continues to scoff at wisdom, will see evil and will not call out to neither halt or interrupt the evil, or speak up when there is evil, such as destruction of those who are most helpless and cannot speak out nor defend themselves. This person says nothing when atrocities are done, and may even go to the extent of defending the evil doers, thus using his voice for evil.
